I got mine in December, and LOVE IT!!!! Use it in a room with LOTS of windows. have black-out blinds so even use with the sun shining in the room. Connects to XBOX, games, and movies for family room. I went with this projector instead of 4K, due to Laser and gaming capability. Want to mount on ceiling and use for years without worrying about changing the bulb. So far been quite happy with my performance. I highly recommend it for gamers and families that don't mind the non 4K experience.
UPDATE 08/17/21 Still working at 100%, but the install is difficult. Spent a day mounting and getting into position, but it has to be 100% in the right position. No adjustment in the software. So my installation into the stud won't work, need to come up with a unique installation. I'll update once I get back to the installation. Need to read up on how to do if stud is off center.

Hi Rob, I hope all is well with you. I've owned a BenQ tk850 project for the past two years, and I've had to send it out for repair or replacement twice so far. Now, I no longer trust the brand and am looking to replace it. My current issue is my entertainment room in the basement was designed and built around the projector, and the current through distance for all the wiring is about 8 feet. I'm looking at the Optoma brand and wanted to know one of two things. One, what's the best way to sell my current Benq project once it returns from Benq's service center. Two, is the OptomaGT1090HDR a better replacement given my current setup and through distance, or do you have something else in mind that would be a better fit? My max price for a replacement is $3500. Thanks in advance for any advice you may offer Pat
In the review it says there is a GT1090HDR C13 Firmware upgrade to get 120Hz that i cant find anywere. I put the projector in gaming mode and game scene but in the menu it still says 60Hz. Guidance?
I am considering this projector for my golf simulator setup. My screen is 8x12 (171 diag) so 16:10 aspect. Based on the throw calculator if I fill the screen from top to bottom I will have some overhang or if I fill it from edge to edge I will have a black bar at the top and bottom. So based on what you are saying there is no way to stretch this out to get it to fit the entire screen? It's not a huge deal since I can't get the full 8 ft height right now anyway in my current setup, but when I build my new golf simulator room I will have the full 8ft. So just wondering if I can utilize the full screen at some point or if I need to look for a projector with other features to help correct this issue.

The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.

I have this projector for my golf sim, screen is 12'x8.5' and it fills the whole screen . Love it

I have this projector, I can tell you it is great. Played quite a few 3d blue rays using the PS4 pro.
