Autodoc is perfect for diy, ok prices and fast delivery. Thinking about doing this myself, maybe they have a discount on a carlift, a spring compression - thingymabob and all the other autoshop tools which are obviously needed for this diy operation.😮

Thank you for posting. It was helpful to me as I am doing this job. I do not mean to be critical, but with the driveshaft bolt, it looks as though you re-used the original bolt and did not specify a torque setting in the clip. That bolt is a torque-to-yield and is designed for one use only. It is to be torqued to 35Nm + 90 degrees from the information I was able to find.

Where did you get the tool for when he stuck the socket into the split for the lower part of the strut to separate it. Around 4:05

I know some compress the spring in the car and then don't undo bottom bracket or drive shaft but think this way is far safer for us DIY guys

Useful video, but the mechanic didn't align the top strut mount and bearing ! there are marks on each part that should be aligned, also these two parts have to be aligned with the base coil holder plate !

I am pretty sure the wheel nuts are 110Nm. Worth mentioning that i personally own a torque wrench but i havn't used it yet.

It isn't necessary to separate the control arm.

Unfortunately, for convenient access and maneuvers with a shock absorber, our mechanic was forced to dismantle the lever hinge.

Please check your torque values. They are mostly incorrect.

That WD40 and copper grease will still be there even if you use brake cleaner! That guy would be sacked in a real garage!
