I really like that bait! Moves nicely in the water. It out the smack down on that pike. Thanks for sharing. I'm thinking about getting a couple big baits and giving them a try this year. Appreciate you sharing!
These Swerve glidebaits are the best deal out there...i have all the colors & will keep buying them...great action & great colors....stock hooks seem legit, too...had no problem with a 15 lb. Striper yesterday on 20 lb. Mono
@@andybales7318 dude that is awesome you got a striper on it! I love em too. Basspro gets a win on these. Hopefully ya have continued luck with em! Striper would be a lot of fun. Need to try it one day🤘🏻
Beautiful pike man. I love them too. I’m scared of throwing pricy glide baits, but I might be able to pull off that one you used. Great way to start the year.👊
I lost one of these glides the other day and I didn’t feel super bad about it because it is so cheap compared to everything else out there. Worth the try!🤘🏻
@@bassinbaskie i have an extra heavy that is capable of 2-4oz baits. I suggest for a budget rod the Okuma Guide Select Custom Black Swimbait Casting rods. That is what I will be switching to. Then 20 pound fluorocarbon
Yes it does sink. So far I haven’t found one that does that. If you have any lead wire you can wrap it around the hooks otherwise Id bring it back and get another one man
@@joebracciale2412 yes it is the rubber tail. This one is the 7” size but I have fished the smaller 6” size they have all been fine so far. If ya can get a return on it I would man. Sounds like a lemon
what was the rod you used to throw this swimbait. i only have medium heavy casting rods so was wondering if i need to get a dedicated rod for this swimbait.
The rod I was using is an extra heavy. I do suggest getting a dedicated set up. I am switching to an Okuma Guide Select Custom Swimbait Casting Rod soon because of comfort, capability, quality and cost. I think that would be a great rod to have if you want to get into it🤘🏻

I think they are a lot of fun and there will be a lot more big bait fishing on the channel. Its a nice challenge I feel. I appreciate ya!🤘🏻
Sick bait bro!
I need to pick up some more. Basspro did great with this one🤘🏻
Beautiful pike!
It was very healthy. Its good to see the fish and doing well in that area🤘🏻

@@MP_Fishing_ Already looked them up using your link. What rod setup you recommend for it? My combos are pretty finesse.

You're making me want to get into swimbait fishing unironically. Great video, Mike!! 😭
Do it up man! I have been lovin it. Not without its ups and downs but a great challenge. I appreciate ya!🤘🏻
Does your swerve sink at all? I just got one, it says it slowly sinks but mine just floats

@MP_Fishing_ yeah man super odd. It just sits up top as if it has air in it. Is yours the rubber fin roughly 4-5 inches?

What’s the lure called
@@Verystrongcoffee it is a basspro xps swerve glide
what shades are those bro?
They are Shady Rays Nitros🤘🏻
Most calm pike to exist, catching pike with no pliers is a nightmare
Yeah I dunno if it was the cold or what but it usually is a nightmare
I just got that one
