Great video and great job with the glide bait! I have never thrown one, but now that I know you can get them without hurting the pocket, I'm gonna have to try one! You had two very nice catches! Thanks for sharing and taking us along. Keep up the good work buddy! Hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas season!
Thanks for stopping by David! Definitely a reasonably priced glide bait that'll get the job done. Hope you and your family have a great holiday as well!
I have walked pass those big glide baits many times while shopping at my local BPS and never gave them a second thought, thinking they were junk that would never catch fish, Bro your video has changed my mind 100% and I'm head to BPS tomorrow to get some, Thanks nice video !
Funny story about how I bought my first one. I went in bass pros looking for a different glide bait, and this is the only one they had. Asked a worker if they had anymore, and he replied that glide baits aren't popular sellers in that store or they would sell others there. I figured if it wasn't any good, I'd be out 18 bucks. It turns out it's not a bad glide bait at all. Good luck, man!
Also, don’t put these baits in a tackle box with other soft plastics or soft swim baits. I put one in a box with a mag draft and it melted the tail. Didn’t hurt the 10” mag draft thankfully. I’m gonna try to make a paintbrush tail I can replace the plastic tail with. Otherwise, it’s a great swim bait. Good video also.
Thanks, man, and yes that will happen. I've had the same thing with mixing other soft plastic together they definitely have some sort of chemical reaction.
@@MK-jk8sz yes, as long as they aren’t touching they are fine. It has something to do with the activators used to make the different types of plastic from what I read
I'm not sure, but it is a nice budget friendly glide bait! This one in the video I bought on that sale as well. I got it on their website. Couldn't pass on that deal!
I always use 40 pound braid to a 40 pound mono leader and tie a loop knot so I don't lose any action from the bait. Most people use 15 to 25 pound though
Lol yeah the 6 inch is new. It looks like they got a few new features as well with the brush tails I haven't seen that before either. The 7 inch is definitely worth trying out!
I have not had an issue with that. But I do know water temperature has a lot to do with the sink rate of a lure. Cold water will sink slow and warmer water it'll sink faster.
This is a cheap swimbait, to be honest, but for the other ones costing a lot more, they are handmade. You are paying for someone's time to build it, that's all.
It's a 3 ounce + lure. I'd say any 200 size bait caster or 300 size would work best. And any swimbait rod rated for 2 to 4 ounce lures would work. The shimano slx is a 150? Could work but I wouldn't throw it all the time might wear the gears down.

For $20, you can't beat these big glides...check out the XPS Swerve WAKE bait that's coming out soon, too...gotta get me a few of those, too
I had no idea they made a wake bait of these. I'm definitely going to scoop one up!!
@@anglerstale I just ordered 3, so I guess they are available now
I'm about to purchase one! Thanks man! Good luck with them 👊

Can you store them in the same box if they’re separated and not touching or will that still mess with it
I've never had an issue as long as they are not touching and separated

Why aren't more people talking about this bait?!?! It swims great especially for the price. And at xmas my bass pro had them on sale for just $12!!!

I love this glide bait caught several nice ones this year on it
Nice, man! It's definitely going to be one of my go-to glide baits from here on out.
Shad get up shallow after a cold front if it’s sunny because the shallow water warms up faster, especially around chunk rock or rip rap.
That makes sense!
Great video as usual man! Love the big bait vids.
Thanks, brother! 👊
Nice stick fish, looked about tree pounds😆
Catch at least one every time! 😂
What pound of line do you use
I always use 40 pound braid to a 40 pound mono leader and tie a loop knot so I don't lose any action from the bait. Most people use 15 to 25 pound though
new sub, good stuff
Thanks, man! I gave you a sub back 👊
Seems like when you slowed it down is when you got most of the bites
I noticed that as well! Thanks for watching!
awesome video. was this the 6 inch or the 7 inch?
Thanks man, this one was the 7 inch. Back then, they didn't have two sizes. I didn't even know they made a 6 inch until you asked.
@@anglerstale haha well i only know because i looked it up on bass pro so i can get me one of these lol.

Did any of you have an issue with it not sinking?

Is that the 13 fishing crankbait rod?
It's 13 fishing's omen black 8' swimbait rod. Great rod for the price
What kinda of reel and rod did you use?
Reel is shimano curado 300 k 4:7:1 gear ratio and rod is 13 fishing omen black 8ft swimbait rod
Why are these things SO expensive? I'd feel TERRIBLE hanging one up on a snag as well.
Buddy it’s $20, most of the glide baits this size are $100+ the swerve is a steal

Dude, can you PLEASE clip off your tag end?
😂 I knew someone would say something about that.
Can I throw on a shimano SLX with a medium heavy rod or do I need heavg

@@anglerstale thanks I’m just new to swim baits and trying to figure em out
No problem, man!
