4:45 if you ever watch the 1960’s Batman movie. There is a actually a team the Penguin puts together of supervillains and they’re all in a submarine also. I think the game made reference to that as well with the submarine mission.

the police marksman is not an extra toggle character, he can be unlocked from the shop. the weird thing about him is that his portrait is completely different from his in game appearance, his portrait shows a police officer with a navy blue shirt and a black hat (basically just the way regular cop enemies in the villain levels look) while in game he's a s.w.a.t. with black legs and a backwards cap
9:10 also some levels show damaged areas of the city which seems like it's made to stop players but helps for the earthquake theory

They should've kept the darker tone for the other games. This game was amazing and one of TT's finest creations.

Yeah, I really agree with that too. You have no idea as to how much I want to purchase sets that are now considered as discontinued unfortunately.
Edit: I meant to add that I was specifically reffering to the very first mid late to late 2000s Legos very first Licensed LEGO: Batman sets. But don't get me wrong, I also want each and every one of the Lego Batman generations set
I would pay a lot of money just to eventually collect them all.

The different suits are all that’s needed to 100% the game, the suit upgrades are just minor/okay upgrades that make the suits more powerful or easier to use, but aren’t ever required to beat certain puzzles or unlock new areas

So, if someone were to make a sequel to this game's tone how would it have to changed to still preserve this original tone while still being a Lego Batman E Rated game? And also, are there attempts to reverse engineer the amount of cut content in the game?
Well, for one, it should remain exclusive to Batman characters and Gotham, cut out the rest of the dc universe.
Also, no voices. While in most LEGO games, the mumbling could be considered comedic, here it adds to the atmosphere if characters don’t tell verbal jokes. This would mean they would have to do physical jokes which could be interpreted as manic seeing as Batman’s villains are all insane. An example would be the suicide joke the joker has when he’s in jail.
Missions would have to be linear instead of the open world levels newer LEGO games have. Now that’s not to say this hypothetical sequel can’t have an open Gotham city, it still can (most preferably one that’s similar to the LEGO Batman 2 Gotham), but the levels need to take place in unique interiors that can invoke claustrophobia, and loneliness, and not in the city itself because that would be too big, likely full of civilians, and would hurt level design. However, these linear missions should still have secret areas to build upon the ambience and setting, like that dead chalk outline. Hide those in a couple of alleys.
And finally, sprinkle in a bit of dark Batman lore, like how this game already did by including a killing joke skin. The newest LEGO Star Wars game actually put in a side mission with a character whose lore is pretty dark. Search up Star Wars Nobot if you want to know more about it, but the short story is that it’s a protocol droid that witnessed a pregnant woman being murdered, some people even believing the droid was responsible, and all attempts to destroy it/get rid of it have failed. My personal suggestion would be to include something relating to the vampire Batman, whether vampire Batman is a secret unlock able character, or if there’s a secret bonus mission dedicated to it. Any suggestions you have in mind?
@@Albino_Basilisk I was honestly thinking of first expanding the main game, adding a ton of levels, paths, secrets, characters, abilities, features, and more story. Just a lot more variety to the entire game and giving more of what the players already liked.
And I was thinking of giving it a variety in the basis of whether or not it'll be linear or not. Some levels will be, others won't. Like for example, clearly Riddler's, Penguin's and Joker's will all be linear, as they will all create puzzles that Batman and Robin will both have to traverse through, with Joker leaving it pretty open ended and his levels technically being the ones with obvious yet skill intensive speed run skips, Riddler being a series of puzzles that Batman and Robin will both have to solve and will require quite a bit of smarts, and Penguin would try to trap the Duo together. Absolutely no voices, not only because I don't have anyone to do voice acting but also because I believe I can better optimize and more fully-realize the visual humor. Lastly, I think I can make darker Batman lore be kid-friendly. Overall, great suggestions that I will have to keep noted somewhere, sometime later.

Bro shut up this game is literally my child hood, im 20 and i still enjoy this. Darkest lego game or not, batman animated series is gold, batman tim burton movies are gold not Joel Schumacher’s and this game is gold, it changed lego games forever.
