The i5-11400 is a performance segment CPU launched in early 2021 to compete with AMD's Zen 3 based Ryzen 5 5600X. Even though it loses quite handily to said chip, it's price is beyond competitive, and the 6 cores and 12 threads keep this chip in contention with the older and more expensive i7-9700k!
Building a Budget PC can be tough. Not only are GPUs and CPUs so incredibly expensive, but they can be hard to find on a budget... But, there are tips and tricks to finding you your dream Budget GPU, and pairing it with a CPU that will give you the performance you want!

I bought this chip to go with my MSI Mag tomahawk Wi-Fi mobo. And I’m running a 3060 in the system. All the games I throw at it I run at the highest graphic settings at 1080p and easily get 165+ fps, so I’m super happy with this chip, it also stays nice and cold with my aio, so the clock speed stays at the highest most of the time
an aio for such a weak chip lol
Hello, how does battlefield 2042 run?
I've just bought a Asus TUF i5 11400 with Asus geforce rtx 3060Ti
The 11400f versión is down to $108 on amazon. At that price, this looks like a great bang for the buck cpu.
still running this with 2060 super still rocking new games
the 11600K and down are beasts for gaming.
So basically all the top-end processors are for what? servers?
I've been running my i5-11400 and it has never once bottlenecked my RTX 3060 playing anything from indies like Subnautica to AAA's Cyberpunk 2077.
I was worried about bottlenecking thanks for this comment
Now its bottlenecking
it will only bottleneck a 4080 or 4090 i think
im curious if h510 motherboards are capable of removing power limits and deliver same performance as b560
wow, they cut two cores. kinda like the first gen i7 had six cores and then they cut to 4. I picked up a computer with one of these cpu and all I do is browse the net and watch movies. it should be pretty good for that. Plus it's my first computer with m2 ssd. I'm still using now a 3rd gen i7-3630qm with 16gb ram and a two tb Samsung SSD. and the tdp comment you made, i always thought tdp was the max. my power supply for this whole computer is 120 watts.
gonna swap my 1660ti laptop for this and 1060 3gb combo and im gonna upgrade it to a 3070 will it bottleneck a 3070
It shouldn’t!
Nice video, I’m running a i5 9400f on a ASU’s prime H310M-AR2.0 mother board and a 1660 super really need to upgrade my mother board, would you recommend focusing on upgrading gpu or cpu next ? I intend to do it in increments. Awesome content as always
If you're looking to upgrade your CPU, I'd recommend upgrading your motherboard aswell! The 1660 Super is still a very capable card, while the 6 threads on your i5 might be holding you back in the latest games!
@@ProceuTech thanks for the reply any recommendations for what motherboard and cpu I should look to upgrade to cheers for taking the time to give me some advice it’s really appreciated I’m still very new to all this pc stuff.
I would personally look at a Ryzen 5 3600 if you want the most bang for your buck, as the AM4 boards are cheaper! However, for maximum stability I would go with an i5-10400f or even an 11400f if you can find one!
@@ProceuTech thanks I’ll look into it, appreciate the reply have a great week!
or does smaller score more cores win over more score with less cores (such as the case with i5-10400f vs i3-12100f)
good video! 💖💖😁😁😁😁
afaik the boost clock is 4.4ghz
Does it support ft5 socket?
How the fuck bro has 245 Max on gta v
