HOW I MIRROR FINISH A BAR
I start with an 80 grit flap disc on my angle grinder then I use my drill with 50 mm round sanding discs . I start with 150 grit then go through the following Grits 240-400-800 Then once I get to the following Grits I use a small squirt of WD-40 1200-1500-2000-2500-3000. The WD40 helps to lubricate the discs and stops the sanding disk binding up with the metal powder . Then after that I use my buffer wheel on my bench grinder to get a perfect mirrored finish on it.

Hey there all you beautiful People? How are you again on another stinking hot West Australian Friday?
Today I melt down my burnt out bore pump motor as well as a heap of Sterling Silver I purchased from my friend at a very generous discounted price . For such a small Motor this thing took a lot of work getting into but I got there in the end. An awesome silver and copper bar as well as a fallout vault advice coin. Some great additions to the stack as usual so sit back relax enjoy the video and I hope to see you all next week. But most importantly, have a happy safe weekend. 👋🏻😃.

FYI those "spy planes" are outback delivery drones. They take all kinds of stuff and drop it without landing, like medical supplies, scientific research and plain old mail to placed that are too far/expensive to make daily deliveries by truck. Living in the future is pretty cool.

I worked for a freight company once and we had to pack up some machinery at a company that melted all the old xrays to extract the silver...the place was like Fort Knox, even all the floor sweepings went back into the furnace and employees had to randomly draw straws to go through a scanner when leaving for the day.
I used to work with weather satellites, and we used large Kodak film cameras to show the imagery. We used 9.5" x 250' rolls of film by the dozen every day, and the scrap was saved for burn reclamation too.

They are relaxing and have really been a blessing to me, especially over the last couple of weeks. On November 3rd my mom passed away unexpectedly. It has been a very rough time in my home the last two weeks. However, knowing that I have your videos to look forward to for getting my mind off of things has been awesome. I have been watching you for a couple of years now and have always felt relaxed and have enjoyed them. However, the last two weeks these videos have been something I've greatly needed. Love watching the metals turn to liquid then solidify into the bars, coins, and other things you cast. Thank you so much for your videos and for the work you put into them. So awesome.

This is the third video that I have watched this evening, that you have posted. I really like your great sense of humor as well as your videos. I am a 65 year old man, who lives in Southwest Michigan. My Wife, Mother and Dad all past away in 2001 just weeks apart from each other. I grew up with a next door neighbor who quickly became my best friend, he was 10 years old and I was 6. He was from Austrailia and always amazed me with his knowledge of the great outdoors. Steven taught me so much about camping the flora and fauna, what plants were edible and how to filter water. When Steven turned 19 he moved back to Austrailia and unfortunatly was killed by a car hitting him as he crossed a road. But he was and always will be remembered. May God bless you and keep you!
I live with my dad who is 89 years old. I'm 65 as well and we Lost Mom January 2022. I can't imagine losing them both close together. It throws everything into chaos. I'm sorry, I hope it gets better soon. I also am in south west Michigan, Plainwell to be exact. I do understand a bit. God bless you. Hang in there. Donald 😊

A tip for when you find circuit boards relays have copper in them and look like big plastic boxes on the circuit board, those large transistors with three leads on them and a silver looking piece of metal on the back with a hole are usually copper too.

But I think it is still good, only needs a little cleaning.

Great video, make sure you always know what is contained in sealed containers before trying to open them, people have made this mistake before thinking they could salvage materials contained inside only to cause more harm tan good. Some of these cases involved "Cobalt 60" and that is something you "NEVER" want to mess with.

That was a great sterling silver pour, makes a real nice bar. Both copper pours came out real nice ( i tend to prefer the copper pours ).
I'd have to question myself about cleaning the copper bar or leaving it red, it was indeed a fine looking bar.
Ingot is my dog persona, though he can go back to sleep and I have to stay up.
We are having an unusual warm day for November in the state of Michigan, USA its 6:50am and 60F ( about 15.5 C ) still dark though, the eastern sky is starting to light up so the sun will be up in a bit.

Would embedding a small but strong magnet in your molds make them easier to remove from the sand once the sand is compressed enough?
