The craziest place I have ever been... and eye-opening. When it was a Cathedral, you see The Virgin Mary holding baby Jesus. The two men on either side, one was the ruler of Istanbul, and the other an architect - paying Mary for Jesus's blessing to build the city up. $$ rules. As a mosque, they do not put anyone on walls, you are only suppose to worship Allah (God).

If you notice that I posted a picture of a truck with riot cages on it, that is because of the peaceful fight over what it should be... a mosque or a cathedral. It is beautiful, but we should be grateful that they did not destroy mosaics. Positive thinking! :D
Which hotel is your sons? My secret for traveling overseas is that I let the price of the airline ticket tell me where I am going. Then I Google Maps all the hotels in the downtown areas and then try and find the privately owned hotels. I do notblike the big brands. But sometimes you must.
OK, yeah, great hotel. The staff was super awesome. I need to go up there in a few weeks for my daughter's birthday, I was thinking of staying there again. Pricey, but the staff was 100% worth it. очень хорошие люди

The mosaics are unique. Covering them is just a cultural crime.
