I found a short-cut in Matallic madness Act 2,it was a mistake the first time I did it. At the start, go to the right and you will see those platforms that shoot you up like a spring. Do your Up+Jump button and hold,you need precise timing to do this short-cut,from there hold right and you will be shot off the floor,keep holding right and you will end up on a roof of the Act,keep running to the right and don't stop,than you will here the last little sound effect when you pass the Flap/pole/sign/??? AQ *Or just use tails and fly to the roof and run to the flap*
honestly if there ever is a remake of this boss i kinda know how to make it harder - more attacks (one idea is spinning really fast and charging at sonic) - needs multiple hits to get a single d-pad off - a second phase or even third phase those are my ideas
