Canada would add 13 states to the USA (10 provinces and 3 territories ), Greenland another state and Panama another state.I think it is a terrific idea. We must make the Bill of Rights mandatory to the USA however.
Trump's statements perhaps aggressive concerning Canada and Greenland and the Panama Canal are just laying the foundation. There is some bluster in there to throw people off guard somewhat. Then when he becomes president he's gonna say to these people, hey let's sit down and talk about this, let's work out a deal. This is how trump works. As for the Panama Canal, I'm all for taking that canal back by whatever means necessary. Right now the Chinese are running a large part of that canal and that is unacceptable.

President Trump should consider reestablishing U.S. military bases in Panama, similar to those from the past-Fort Clayton, Howard Air Force Base, Rodman Naval Base, Fort Davis, and others. The mission of these bases would be: 1. To prevent the passage of immigrants heading to the U.S. 2. To counteract Chinese influence and control of the Panama Canal. The Panamanian government could continue administering the Canal, while the U.S. focuses on security and support. This would be a win-win for everyone! The provinces control their natural resources and minerals not the federal government. The nightmare of Trudeau and Liberals is almost over. Why in the hell would we join another country.
It unfortunately has to be maintained by tax dollar. And if the politicians stop making us maintain military bases that are very expansive all over the world.
The smart answer is in the background make being Canadian even more insufferable, then purchase them as a territory like we did most of the time, and finally over the course of a generation cut the land up into states. Our entire history is accepting new states together to balance our various factions. I don't like the whole "unify our nations economy" thing because it requires we completely coordinate our immigration, taxes, measurements, etc. At that point, why not become either a territory, or at the max a protectorate, which ultimately will just lead to statehood either way.
@JeffreyBoldt France doesn't want Quebec. They cost too much money and they're never satisfied with what their given. Canada will not be joining the US. There's no need. Bro, if Canada were to become a US state, most likely it would be broken up into at least 4 separate states to perhaps as much as 10 separate states thereby increasing the number of US states from 50 to between 54 to 60 states. I don't see a situation where if Canada somehow agrees to become a state, would then be integrated into US statehood as just one big state. In such a scenario, Canada will be broken up and then integrated into the USA. In fact, I could see the significant portion of the Northwest region of Canada to be simply integrated as part of Alaska since the land is contiguous, thereby possibly doubling the land-mass (and increasing the population) of the state of Alaska.

Taking Canada and Greenland into the U.S. would be great - With how England is failing, taking them away from the Crown is a serious option to ensure our safety - As for Greenland, there is no way that Norway can hold it is some large country decided to take it. All y’all that keep talking about adding Canada keep just saying as the 51st state but let’s look at a better possibility of carving up the provinces into their own states. That way it can be carved up in such a manner that it won’t be over liberal and in fact be more conservative based on geography and electoral college
@@403punk3 I agree it would be better to add Canada as 16 states by adding each of the 4 Canadian territories as states, adding 7 of the 10 provinces as 7 states and adding 6 states by splitting Quebec into a North Quebec and the South Quebec along the St Lawrence seaway/River, Split Ontario into two states with heavily populated Southern and Eastern Ontario being one state and the rural Northern and West Ontario being a second state. Finally add a new 15th and 16th state by making Vancouver Island and the adjacent Southwest of current British Columbia as the new 15th state and the remainder of what is now Northern and Eastern British Columbia as a 16th new state. I imagine that a lot of the current 41 million New American Canadian citizens would find that the 32 senators would be a great death of power for 1 7th of the population of the Republic.

I think this is just a tactic to preemptively get the conversation started about expansion of territories for Russia, China and Israel, to loosen up the ideas that the boundaries need to remain the same. If it looks like the US is thinking about new territories, it won't look as much like a loss if Russia keeps part of Ukraine. It's also a win win because we can still keep those conversations going about Panama without it looking like we're picking on the little guy.
I think when it comes to Panama, the US needs to make it crystal clear that no foreign power shall ever have influence in North and South America. Trump needs to let the Panamenian government know that they can do whatever they want as long as a certain superpower does not have any influence over the Panama canal. I don't think people in territories pay income taxes, yet they get all the benefits of being a state. Puerto Ricans would have to be nuts to want statehood.

If they join the US, then that insecure national identity will wither with time as they became more and more attached to the Union.

Im afraid that you are misunderstanding something here. The only piece of real estate that we are after is Greenland. When it comes to Panama, it has to do with National Security. The Chinese are there, and on top of that, many South American countries are deepening their relationships with China. We do not like that! As for Canada, I'm honestly surprised that the Canadians apparently are starting to consider or at least ponder on the issue of unification with the US. In my opinion, we could intergrate our border and financial policy. This would mean that the Canadians would not have a border with us( which then the Canadians would need to have the same emigration policy as USA) On the other hand, the Canadians would benefit tremendously. They would get cheaper agricultural goods, which they heavily rely on us. Their economy would be more resilient, and they would be able to exploit their resources more efficiently. Now, there are others who would want for the USA to straight up buy the three northern territories. Hence, a land bridge would be created between Alaska and mainland US, and we would have total control of the Artic ocean( assuming we would also purchase Greenland)
If Trump and Congress simply do not put money into ANY foreign wars as well as foreign aid just for 2 years, it would easily be enough money to start negotiations.
I'm not even saying the US should or should not aquire these regions, but not sure why people think it's a crazy proposition without precedent - over half of the US's current land area was acquired through purchases.
Will trump ever address the issues such as bubbling stock market? and a ever rising debt ceiling? This baiting game of "Greenland Purchase" or Panama Annexation are just empty threats.
Personally I think we need the canal for our own national security. However, Panama also needs it for its own economic security. I think it would make more sense to just make the entire country part of the U.S. Panama is already one of the richest and most developed countries of Latin America that also has an economy that’s very intertwined into the American economy. I don’t think it would have huge short term consequences but in the long run gives us the canal and gives Panama better access to the worlds largest economy.
Puerto Rico wants to be a state. Give the what they want. Canada is one of the largest and wealthiest countries in the world. Leave it alone. Denmark will sell Greenland for a couple bucks.

Greenland is priceless due to their natural resources. The points you are making about Greenland are not very realistic and are not founded on any rationale or intelligent consideration. You have a large deficit and Greenland is way to big for The US to handle.
Greenland is the long-term investment of Denmark regarding natural resources. No way they give that up. Look at Denmark. They have nothing. Germany could literally just walk in there on a Sunday and annex it. Greenland is their ticket to global relevance.

Here is something interesting I find about the comments here. One of ( if not the primary reason) Canadians oppose being part of the US is the Health Care System: News flash: Canada is losing doctors, nurses and other health care professionals to the US. Why? More $ and lower taxes. These reasons are also a primary factor in why Canada has not won a Stanley Cup in over 30 years and why Minnesota has more NHL draftees then Quebec and Saskatchewan.
"We have so much money" my guy, we're on the brink of financial collapse, and you acting like 1 trillion wouldn't affect the everyday person. What benefit do the citizens get from the purchase? They are going to continue spending more of what they can't afford. Sounds like a financial fiscal move.
I think you're being too eager to disqualify Canadian states. Initially there is no guarantee they vote for the dems, they could be entirely isolated and continue to vote for their own Canadian parties. As they become more integrated they would go to the standard party divide, especially with the immediate improvements to their economic situation. Also the liberal population is very isolated to a couple big cities that would swing dem, but the rest of country would probably go republican, especially after having the Liberals in charge for so long. Like it would be entirely possible for Ontario to go red, even with a city like Toronto.
@kvabskalle yeah right she did absolutely nothing about them as vp. And Biden did nothing either. She was just promising she would to get votes. She didn't even have a plan.
But no 'American' has even been able to answer this question: Why would Canadians want to join the USA when it would mean descending down the latter of civilization a couple of rungs?
I hope Canada, Panama, and Greenland all become part of the United States. Canada wouldn't become a single state, but rather, it'd be split into 10-13 states because each of Canada's provinces would become states. That being said, Canada merging with the U.S. is far more likely than CANZUK happening.
2:30 seems “unrealistic,” however this is a very serious cinversation. Even within Canada, politicians are being pressured to increase military soending to defend our arctic sovereignty as ice burgs melt more and it is becoming more accessible, other countries will want to have rights to access things like the northwest passage etc… and could become a major trade route in the future. We need to be able to defend our arctic, which DOES boarder bith russia and greenland
The four western provinces would be invited to apply as individual states. Ontario, Quebec snf the Atlantic provinces would stay together as a “down sized Canada,” the size of Texas X 4, with a population of 28 Million. It would be a “resource rich Denmark.” The territories would depart with the western provinces.
Very few Canadians want to be part of the U.S., but there is significant interest in more economic unity, U.S., Canada, U.K., Europe in a Free Trade alliance; all with similar costs of doing business; Mexico has low costs of production due to labour being cheap and continues to draw production to Mexico; a northern alliance would make more sense. with each country agreeing to buy as much as they sell to each partner nation. No-one wants the U.S. annexing territories; that would only drive us to forge new alliances without the U.S. being invited.
Let's talk about national debt. Canada's national debt is $29732 per citizen (~$21000 US) America's national debt is $106808 per citizen. Why would Canadians want to join us and assume the extra burden?
I don't see why this is so controversial. Why would sane Canadians NOT want to join the US economy? That's actually perplexing to me. I would 100% vote to join the states. Why does everyone think that we would all be democrats?? Only the city centers are liberal. If we became states the seat counts the major city hold would be eliminated. Then Canada is VERY conservative and quite supportive of Trump and the idea of a protected North America (we are totally a threat right now with the immigration issues we have and that's a problem America would solve). There are SO many crumbling pillars of the Canadian society that I would not be surprised if this came true in the mid-late 2030s

Trade the Canadian Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavut for trade deals and oil contracts. Then we have the Arctic like he wants.
ONLY western canada. We've voted conservative for at least 5 decades.
Welcome to the North American Union.
Puerto Rico wants to be a state. Give the what they want. Canada is one of the largest and wealthiest countries in the world. Leave it alone. Denmark will sell Greenland for a couple bucks.
Did you hear yourself, "lets not let a large portion of our population vote..." this seems not very democratic. It seems like we have regressed once again. America, the land of the past.
Nothing about Carter?
Greenland is my favorite option
Ottawa can be new Canada, New France, British China, and we take the rest….51st State
demented
Greenland is priceless due to their natural resources. The points you are making about Greenland are not very realistic and are not founded on any rationale or intelligent consideration. You have a large deficit and Greenland is way to big for The US to handle.
Greenland is the long-term investment of Denmark regarding natural resources. No way they give that up. Look at Denmark. They have nothing. Germany could literally just walk in there on a Sunday and annex it. Greenland is their ticket to global relevance.
Hahahahaha, you serious right now? Priceless? No such thing. Deficit has nothing to do with going to the negotiation table. How would Denmark and Greenland use that as leverage? LMAO.
@@robertmusil1107 If Denmark really wanted to do something with Greenland resource-wise, they would have done so a long time ago. But now? They are trying to focus on tourism, lol. How's that going to get anything rolling plan wise?
@@bk6555so you want to buy Greenland? And you are paying with what money? Your $36 trillion debt?
Focus on yourself and your own problems and leave the rest of us out of it… thanks 👍

Great analysis
Just fix our problems. We don't need additional land.
WE NEED ALL OF CANADA AND PANAMA AND GREENLAND
Your biggest problem; Trump… 🤷♂️
@@kvabskalle not that Harris would have done anything.
@@dvferyanceshe would have done something less insane… like trying to lower grocery prices! 🤷♂️
Wat? Lol, ok
Green land value for 1.7 trillion base off it known natural resources but they don't want to sell
Maybe the US should focus on the $36 trillion debt they already have instead if adding to it… 🤷♂️
I heard the Greenland acquisition was almost a done deal in Trumps last term. 50/50 profit sharing with the Danes while we take on the upkeep costs.
You heard wrong!!! 😂😂😂
Hahahaha, no. It was laughed at and ridiculed immediately and didn't have a single foot of traction.
I hope Canada, Panama, and Greenland all become part of the United States. Canada wouldn't become a single state, but rather, it'd be split into 10-13 states because each of Canada's provinces would become states. That being said, Canada merging with the U.S. is far more likely than CANZUK happening.
Having too many liberals in Canada shouldn’t stop them from being a state
2:30 seems “unrealistic,” however this is a very serious cinversation.
Can Donnie buy Oz? We don’t want Albosleazy as our PM or Jimmy Savile’s BFF as our king anymore
The four western provinces would be invited to apply as individual states. Ontario, Quebec snf the Atlantic provinces would stay together as a “down sized Canada,” the size of Texas X 4, with a population of 28
Million.
Canada's national debt is $29732 per citizen (~$21000 US)
America's national debt is $106808 per citizen.
Why would Canadians want to join us and assume the extra burden?
We don't want to become the Porto Rico of North America. We won't lose our identity and be treated as second class citizens. You could always Dream.
Add Alberta only (most conservative area in Canada). No state status for 50 years (congressionally approved).
People of the internet! When you let a person who 6 months ago was telling us about what team will get what stadium, start talking nonsense you get this trash! I csnt speak for the other nations though i would bet they also wouldnt but canada will never become the 51st state. It will never happen!!! Somebody tell this clown to stop! Hes just embarrassing himself
It's going to happen. If you don't like hearing it, then scoot off of here. No one's stopping you.
I’m sorry but I don’t want empire and Trump reportedly saying that “if empires are growing they are falling” is incredibly concerning to me. Why are we even seriously discussing these things….

Canada, America and Greenland.
