Captain America isn't my favorite superhero, not even my favorite Avenger tbh, and yet 57:40 is probably my favorite scene in the entire MCU. Everyone is beaten down. Cap's arm is cut open and broken from that beating he just took on the shield, his leg is sliced open, and Thanos' entire army is there. What does Cap do in the face of all that? Straps the shield tightly as a splint and for any remaining protection. Stands up in true Cap fashion, refusing to back down and, as far as he knows in that moment, prepares to face Thanos and his entire army alone if he must. They illustrate it beautifully too with the wide shot showing Cap on one side and Thanos and his army on the other just before Falcon comes through over the comms. There's a lot of great moments in the MCU and a very strong contender for favorite moment does come from my favorite Avenger, Iron Man, as you now understand I'm sure, but it still doesn't quite beat the emotion and inspiration I get from Cap's moment.
That's also my favorite moment in the series. It's not until they reach a point when all hope should be lost, and he stands up anyway. Then the sky opens up and every hero we've believed in and cheered for arrives, seeming to emerge out of the light itself, to fight the forces of nihilism and despair represented by Thanos. And all of that with no words. Purely visual (though the music is great support, this is one time when the visuals alone would have conveyed _everything_ ). It's a moment when you realize what hero stories like this are _for_ --they are what teaches us to be better humans.
1:02:09 - Yeah so while she might want to advertise herself as such, captain marvel is NOT the strongest avenger, it was confirmed after this movie that scarlet witch is because of this. Captain marvel could maybe punch thanos, but wanda here very nearly killed him by herself, she flat out made him panic! With 1 stone thanos could flick captain marvel away, but remember in infinity war wanda was holding thanos back when he was using 5 of them, while using shooting half her power in the other direction
It had many holes in plot. They had gauntlet with all the stones and Captain Marvel had it, why she didnt snapped? She would survive that without a scratch.
@@kigara3906 Their goal for most of the fight wasn't to snap Thanos's army away or use the stones, it was to remove the stones from the battlefield by getting the stones back to the past. Tony looking towards Dr. Strange is what gave him the idea that using the stones at that moment is their only chance at a decisive victory.
@@SKai2609 Even better, she could revive Tony with stones. They had them all. And little cleanup aswell, that spaceship she destroyed littered everywhere. And avengers base back with time machine. So many plotholes.

Cap being worthy of Thor's hammer goes back to party at beginning of Age of Ultron. Everyone is trying to lift it but cap is the only one who makes it move slightly, whole Thor looks very worried. Cap could have lifted it then but didn't want to embarrass Thor, proving he is indeed worthy.
My theory is that he was on a journey at that point, so he could budge it, but wasn't truly worthy until he broke away from the government strings holding him back and became his own man.
Wasn't it confirmed by Marvel or The Russo Brothers that Steve still hasn't told Tony about Bucky killing his parents, resulting in him not 100% being worthy of it.
@@SilentBob731You cannot be half-worthy. Even Thor when he came to Midgard couldn't move it, not a little bit. Cap was always worthy, and that is not a theory because even Thor knew.
When I saw this in theaters, I did not buy popcorn or drinks. I did not want to risk missing one bit of this. Tony and Nat's deaths still get me, but I always get excited when I see Cap smacking Thanos around with Mjolnir. The first time I've seen the portals scene, oh my god. The moment Cap said "Avengers...." I was like "Say it! Say it!" And then, "...assemble." my best friend told me I was the first to jump up and cheer in the theater and everyone else followed me. This is definitely my favorite movie theater experience.
same, my friend, this is a reason to still go to the movies. The way the audience lost their minds at every beat- and then when Cap lifted Mjolnir- I still watch audience reactions to these moments on TH-cam when I'm feeling down.
Quynh you sweet sweet girl 😭😭 this is why i love your guys’ reaction because of her empathy to the characters Seeing this is in theaters was such an experience
Might as well say it again, but make sure to watch the OG Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies and the 2 Amazing Spider-Man movies before watching No Way Home. It's only 4 more movies until it's here.
Stan Lee was in this movie as well as Infinity War. In Infinity War he was the bus driver for Peter Parker's field trip and in this one he was the hippie that says "Make love, not war" when they first go to 1970 to get some more Pym particles.
To answer why Cap is so good with Mjölnir: in the first Thor movie when Odin banishes his son he imbues the hammer with power by stating "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor," essentially Odin infused it with the power he stripped from his son to act as a sort of "totem" that empowers those worthy enough to wield it.
So you guys almost reached the end of The Infinity Saga and phase 3 with Spider-Man Far From Home. Now you're entering phase 4 a.k.a. The Multiverse Saga. Here's the phase 4 release order: WandaVision (9 episodes), The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (6 episodes), Loki season 1 (6 episodes), Black Widow (movie), What If...? (9 episodes), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (movie), Eternals (movie), Hawkeye (6 episodes), Spider-Man: No Way Home (movie), Moon Knight (6 episodes), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (movie), Ms. Marvel (6 episodes), Thor: Love and Thunder (movie), I Am Groot season 1 (5 shorts), She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (9 episodes), Werewolf by Night (TV special), Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (movie), The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (TV Special). These are the phase 4 projects...in real time we're in the middle of phase 5 but when the time comes I will write down the list for phase 5 as well :)
Stan Lee is in this one as is his late wife Joan. They de-aged them to look as their 1970's younger selves when Steve and Tony go back to 1970. They are in the very first scene driving in the car as hippies. Stan is the one who literally looks into the camera at us, yelling his line. The way this content is edited though with a long awkward pause holding on Nick's face staring blankly forward at us seems to be clearly emphasizing that it's not registering who Stan is and was done like this because future Nick in Post found out about Stan's cameo during editing. Am I right? Did I nail it? Where's my cookie?
If you think a bit on it from the younger Thanos' point of view, he had just begun his missions for the stones, only to confront a future that travels back through time because Thanos did win. His ego could not stand the gall of an ungreatful universe trying to undo his holy work. Then when the consecuences of the 2nd snap arrive, the other half of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes stand up. In the marvel universe there is no where like the earth and it's seeming legion of willing protectors, Thanos realizes just how many stand, it is literally noting he very could have imagined on his best day. And this is why the younger Thanos loses: he sought a misplaces vengeance - that was meant for the Avengers.
This the movie where Tony and Steve rogers prove each other wrong , tony sacrifices himself for greater good and cap showed he is more worthy than his superpowers by lifting thor's hammer.( the reason he can lift thor's hammer now because he told the truth to tony about his parents death )
People seem to think that Steve could always wield Mjolnir, but I agree with you here. He wasn't truly worthy until he broke away from government control and became his own man.
My favorite MCU moment in this saga? Steve passing the shield to Sam. Sam's "Thank you" with the Cap theme music overlaid is perfection. I got the dream ending for my original character and my absolute favorite add on character assumes the duties.
What I hate about Endgame is because they did Natasha dirty. They should at least held a ceremony for her too along with Tony. It’s like they completely forgot about her and her sacrifice. She made the second chance happened. She was the one that really wants it and sacrifice everything.
Cap became worthy after Tony found out that Bucky killed his parents. Prior to that Cap kept that a secret and that's what kept him from being worthy at the time.
This was the best moment for Tony Stark to die. In the multiverse there are versions of Tony Stark that didn't die and he gains a lot of knowledge and power that he becomes a villain.
Man, when those portals started opening and that music got going...one of the greatest moments in movie history. Awesome. So glad I went on the 20 movie journey to get to that point.
A nice subtle clue as to how Tony got the idea to invert the mobius strip to get the quantum realm GPS working is that he picked up the picture of him and Peter Parker *upside down.* Upside down made him think of inside out and that's what he tried (and it worked!)
Great reaction! Some FYI: The official lore is that Cap could wield Mjölnir in Avengers:AOU but chose not to pick it up to honor Thor. Captain Marvel's powers are based on energy absorbtion. She took down the spacecraft because it was firing at her which powered her up. Thanos threw her around with ease until the moment when she grabbed the Stark made infinity gauntlet and was absorbing its power. So Thanos took out the power stone and used it for the haymaker. The song Steve and Peggy danced to was the same song Nick Fury turned up loud in "CA: The Winter Soldier" when he broke into Steve's apartment. The ending credits scene was audio only of what started the MCU - Iron Man. We heard Tony in the cave with the blacksmith hammer beating on his first forged Iron Man suit Mark 1.
The scene with Thor and his mother is awesome and always gets me. And yes, she KNOWS. You can see it in her eyes when she realizes it's not "her" Thor. That the only reason "that" Thor would be there is if, for some reason, she was no longer a part of where he is from. And instead of trying to tempt fate, she chooses to accept what is. Such an amazing woman...😊🥲 Odin picked a good one there.
I saw this in theaters and definitely teared up. I remember having the thought “who would protect us now?” It’s ridiculous, I know… but I couldn’t help it
Less sad ending: When Peter hands off the Infinity Gauntlet to Carol, she flies straight up into space, away from the battle. She had already destroyed Thanos' ship, so they would not be able to chase her. Then she does the reverse snap. She is so powerful, she would likely survive it. Of course, that would be less dramatic. Note: When Cap is about to go back in time to return the Stones, he says "clip all the branches". That means he is aware of branching timelines, like the Loki series deals with. So he probably lived with Peggy on a branched timeline. As one of the founders of SHIELD, it would be impossible for her to hide she was married to Steve from everyone. Once Peggy passed away, he would then go back in time to before the branch, not meet her again, then forward on the Sacred Timeline. It took me forever to realize that SHIELD (the agency) was named in honor of Cap's sacrifice crashing the plane, as Peggy and Howard Stark were two of the founders.
I do love that there's an episode of What If where a Black Widow who has watched all the other Avengers die in battle is transplanted by the Watcher into our part of the Multi-Verse. He basically tells her that these people are not her friends, but they could be, and that he thought she'd do good here if she gave it a chance.
I've always thought that Steve spoke to Bucky about his plans. I think he may have offered him the shield and Bucky turned it down as he's not ready. The way Bucky says "I'm gonna miss you buddy" when he's due back in 5 seconds. Plus he's the one to look around and find Steve on the bench. He doesn't look surprised, he looks proud for his best friend. They had already said their goodbyes.
I have really enjoyed your MCU reactions! I hope you take short break to run through the other Marvel films, early Spider-Man movies, Daredevil and the Fantastic Four, but most importantly all the X-Men films. Now that Disney has the rights back to almost all of these, the future of Marvel can be written in new ways.

Stan Lee was the guy driving outside the military base that yelled "make love not war" Also I love your dog trying to comfort you because you were crying.
About Cap lifting Thors hammer... the directors have gone on record saying that he couldn't lift the hammer in age of ultron was because he still hid the secret of knowing who killed Tony's parents. Once, he is un-burdered of that secret, from that point on he is truly worthy!
so many great and emotional moments in this film, but "Let me go" breaks me every time. Tony absolutely saved the world, but none of that would have been possible without Natasha's sacrifice... That one hurt in particular because she is my favorite Avenger, (along with Cap). RIP Black Widow, Iron Man, and Vision.
Tony Stark died because he is a mortal human and he used the Infinity Gauntlet designed for Omega-level people like Thanos or Hulk. Also, if you listen carefully when he is trying to get the glove off of Thanos you can hear the sound of the stones being removed and moved to his glove. The "And I am Ironman" line was the idea of the editor and they brought RDJ back in to film just that part.
Him: It was like Tony himself was the sheild of armor for the world Me: ACTUALLY you didnt have to say that bc I was already barely holding my tears back but nowwwww 😭😭
1:25:10 There is a deleted scene where all the heroes surround Tony on the battlefield and pay their respects. Gamora is seen watching this and then walking away - partly in confusion. It is assumed at this point that 2014 Gamora simply left and somehow got back out into space where she came from.
It is a good scene, but Marvel/Disney has done their homework. Kneeling is not seen as a sign of respect in many cultures around the world and doing that could be seen as sending a very confusing message. Edit: To quote Black Panther … ”We don’t do that here”
As a fan of Marvel Comics back in the mid 60s, I would like to say, that wasn’t “de-aging “ technology used for Stan Lee’s cameo! That was stock footage of Stan from that time period! There’s gotta be tons of that stuff! Also it’s evident that Cap and Bucky talked about Cap’s decision to stay in the past with Peggy! By his farewell and Bucky’ lack of surprise and Bucky knowing he was passing on his legacy to Sam! Steve Roger’s would’ve told his best friend of a lifetime who would be the one to take up his mantle! Didn’t you notice when Cap gave Sam the shield, Bucky nods his approval! If you need more proof, in Falcon and WS series episode 5….Bucky says “I owe you an apology. There’s no way me and Cap could understand what it would mean to give a black man the shield!” Which means they discussed it or he wouldn’t have included himself in the decision! The one fact I think is constantly overlooked is beyond all the action, fan arrive, and storyline….is the amazing quality of the actual acting! If you break if down scene by scene, you will see Oscar worthy performances, scene after scene! What a hellacious ride it was!!! Make mine Marvel!!! RIP Stan the man!!!❤
Something dawned on me when Tony called Thor “Lebowski”. Tony also called him “Point Break” and called Ebony Maw “Squidward”. Peter Parker also makes a lot of pop culture references, often to the exasperation of Tony. I wonder if Tony realizes how much him and Peter are alike. I never really notices that similarity and it just deepens their connection to me.
1:42:30 Where Ronin (Clint Barton's other alter ego) is fighting is NOT the same place as the final battle in Doctor Strange. The Sanctum in Doctor Strange was in Hong Kong - currently a part of China. Ronin was found by Natasha in Tokyo, Japan fighting the Yakuza.
This is becoming my favorite reaction channel..... keep it going!!!
Thank you so much!
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN..THE BEAUTIFUL MASTERPIECE THAT IS.. AVENGERS ENDGAME!!!!
@@kigara3906They don’t want to mess with the stones as much as possible. That’s the whole point. Outside of what is needed, they don’t want to mess with the timeline anymore.
@@curtmc I call it bs plothole.
@@HydelsiusNo. They said the opposite. He was always worthy. A secret like that can't make someone unworthy of that person is Cap.
@@johanluisrivas8016 “Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.”
@ScientificallyStupid if only we can go back in time to relive the moment
I rationed my drinks so I didn’t have to leave the theatre to pee! A movie that I would die inside if I missed any moments.
I wish there was a scene in which Tony meets yeltsen in the soul stone and says to him..."i tried to live a life worth you saving"
I love you 3000.
She needs to see the Back to the Future trilogy. She's gonna love it.
I second this
OK, guys, get on it- I just know Quynh will LOVE it!
Get on back to the future you two !!!!!
I've completely loved watching your MCU journey! Thank you guys so much❤
So glad you had fun watching with us, thank you!
Quynh you sweet sweet girl 😭😭 this is why i love your guys’ reaction because of her empathy to the characters
Seeing this is in theaters was such an experience
I hope you guys continue! Would to see you react to the mcu shows as well, especially WandaVision ❤
I can't wait until we get to WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier ❤
The Cap wielding Thor's hammer, Avengers Assemble, and Iron Man's sacrifice were the moments that I will never forget
Same here.
Might as well say it again, but make sure to watch the OG Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies and the 2 Amazing Spider-Man movies before watching No Way Home. It's only 4 more movies until it's here.
Please yes
"That's what Phoebe says to him"
OK, that cracked me up a bit 😃
“PUT HIM TO SLEEP” 🤣🤣🤣
Now you meet the real unknown hero of the Mcu the rat :)
So you guys almost reached the end of The Infinity Saga and phase 3 with Spider-Man Far From Home. Now you're entering phase 4 a.k.a. The Multiverse Saga.

Werewolf by Night (TV special),
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (movie),
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (TV Special).
These are the phase 4 projects...in real time we're in the middle of phase 5 but when the time comes I will write down the list for phase 5 as well :)
You forgot about the I Am Groot shorts
@@MoonLight-q4r true but I'm not sure if those warrant a video cause they're so short idk
I agree completely with the above post. You should see everything in the MCU at least once, in Release Order. 🤔
@@c-mc you are not wrong but I feel like it would be good watch for Quynh after seeing Guardians of the Galaxy 3 because of how sad it is
Stan Lee is in this one as is his late wife Joan.
41:58 that was Stan, guys. His last cameo
Rip
Rip Chadwick
9:55 Paul Rudd is an amazing actor! That whole scene running and finding Cassi is like independent film vibes.
Awesome. So glad I went on the 20 movie journey to get to that point.
been waiting so long for this one thank you thank youuuuu ❤❤❤❤❤ also CAP IS THE FREAKING BEST
Awesome reaction! Now you've watched all the MCU movies ever made. Now you can watch other movies 🤫
9:24 "Hope?" There is no hope.
😂😂😂😂
stan lee WAS in this one. he was driving the car in 1970 and said 'make love not war'
I’m so scared for Quynh 😭
The main really big character that isnt in this film is Vision
Avengers Endgame was the first time my naive 12 year old self realized you could kill off the most iconic character I had ever known.
Ive been looking forward to this day! 😁😭🤣
Can't believe you cut the "Avengers ASSEMBLE!!" Tsk ask.
I've enjoyed the journey with the two of you.
Yeah sorry about that had to make some unfortunate edits to get this one past copyright
A nice subtle clue as to how Tony got the idea to invert the mobius strip to get the quantum realm GPS working is that he picked up the picture of him and Peter Parker *upside down.* Upside down made him think of inside out and that's what he tried (and it worked!)
”I … am … inedible! No, wait. That’s not it.”
Great reaction! Some FYI:
The official lore is that Cap could wield Mjölnir in Avengers:AOU but chose not to pick it up to honor Thor.
Infinity war and this one really should come with a free therapy session included
😂right?
I saw this in theaters and definitely teared up. I remember having the thought “who would protect us now?”
It’s ridiculous, I know… but I couldn’t help it
Less sad ending: When Peter hands off the Infinity Gauntlet to Carol, she flies straight up into space, away from the battle.
Looking forward to you watching Wandavison 😊
This is so great thanks!
Stanlee was in here he was the guy in the car when they went back to the 70s
3:25 If our Hostess is already crying, she's gonna have a rough go of this one. 😢😎🍿
9:54 One of the unfortunate things about the time jump is that they had to re-cast Cassie Lang. I'm not a big fan of most child actors, but Abby Ryder Fortson was friggin' hilarious.
41:57 Did no one recognize Stan Lee there? 46:20 Bring on The Pain! (Part 1). 😭 51:28 Yup, this was a pretty good freak-out the first time around.😱
56:16 Giant Cheer #1✊😆✊ 57:50 Building...building...building...oh. Did TH-cam ding you on the Avengers...Assemble line? 1:06:42 And bring on The Pain! (Part 2). 😭😭😭
There's a comedy sketch by I think it was Warp Zone, where it shows Steve having to live his life with Peggy without affecting the timeline...so all the things he could stop but has to have happen, including meeting the child niece and having to know theres a frozen version of him that has to stay on ice...as well as real life events like Vietnam.
Guys, I think forever in our life you will never found the experience like we got with this movie in the theatre. That moment is a greatest moment in my life!
I don't want to spoil future things but I wish you also watch X-Men inbetween these 😂
Stan Lee was the guy driving outside the military base that yelled "make love not war"
Also I love your dog trying to comfort you because you were crying.
About Cap lifting Thors hammer... the directors have gone on record saying that he couldn't lift the hammer in age of ultron was because he still hid the secret of knowing who killed Tony's parents. Once, he is un-burdered of that secret, from that point on he is truly worthy!
I thought they said he could lift it in AOU but he didn’t want to take away Thor’s shine ?
Tony’s and Peter’s moments in this movie always get me😢
What a crowd-pleaser!
so many great and emotional moments in this film, but "Let me go" breaks me every time. Tony absolutely saved the world, but none of that would have been possible without Natasha's sacrifice... That one hurt in particular because she is my favorite Avenger, (along with Cap). RIP Black Widow, Iron Man, and Vision.
You guys are definitely my new favorite reaction channel. Can't wait to see you do all the X-Men and Deadpools!
12:53 its funny you say that because at the end of Age of Ultron, Tony says, “maybe i should take a page out of Barton’s book, build Pepper a farm.”
Please continue this journey into the next phases and TV shows! I love your reactions to the MCU
Him: It was like Tony himself was the sheild of armor for the world
Me: ACTUALLY you didnt have to say that bc I was already barely holding my tears back but nowwwww 😭😭
1:25:10 There is a deleted scene where all the heroes surround Tony on the battlefield and pay their respects. Gamora is seen watching this and then walking away - partly in confusion. It is assumed at this point that 2014 Gamora simply left and somehow got back out into space where she came from.
I wonder if cap every told Peggy he kissed her niece
I watched it at the cinema and cried so much 😭😭😭 There is also a deleted scene that touched me: Avengers all kneeled for Tony 🥺🤌
It is a good scene, but Marvel/Disney has done their homework. Kneeling is not seen as a sign of respect in many cultures around the world and doing that could be seen as sending a very confusing message. Edit: To quote Black Panther … ”We don’t do that here”
I think in the comics, Hulk's new combo form is called Professor Hulk.
I second what someone else said please watch: Spider-Man movies, Daredevil and the Fantastic Four, but most importantly all the X-Men films.
I was waiting for you to upload this! Hehe I love you both!
And Lebowski was also the villain in the first Iron Man movie.
And as for seeing more of Barton's time during the Blip, just continue your journey through the MCU. You will get there eventually!
I'll admit that the "Stranger Things" comment went very much under appreciated.
1:45 - of course it is not really 'thunder'. It's tankers crashing on the freeway and planes dropping out of the sky etc.
Well no it was thunder. People rematerializing doesn't somehow make things crash - they disappeared, not their vehicles.
@@LudusAureahelicopters need pilots to fly. If a helicopter pilot disappears mid flight, yeah that thing is crashing. They even showed it happening in the after credit of infinity war. Why would that not happen? You’re such a contrarian
@@LudusAurea No-one was re-materialising - that was still over five years away. As we saw at the end of infinity war there were multiple street level crashes and a helicopter flying into a building. There would inevitably have been carnge at some industrial plants too. Banner took care to bring back the blipped safely. Thanos could have taken some care - but didn't
Oh wow that’s wild to even think about, it’s like War of the Worlds times 100
