When Ahsoka said, “I won’t fight you,” and Anakin responded, “I’ve heard that before.” He’s talking about Luke and I loved that reference. I also loved the part where Anakin did his little flourish. I wish it went into the behind the back block then attack, but I think it was meant to be more playful. We all know Anakin loved to show off his lightsaber skills, and Hayden still makes it look effortless.
Anakin in clone wars mode. Hayden absorbed clone wars Anakin with his voice. Remarkable acting adding new Anakin content. What I would change is the choreography. Style 4 vs Style 6 is supposed to be live and intricate.
Can we please get Hayden an award for this acting!! He is portraying 3 versions of the same character seamlessly. He is Hayden’s anakin, Matt’s clone wars anakin and Vader all in the same episode. Get this man an award and the recognition he deserves
If this doesn't convince Disney to do more Anakin related material, I don't know what will. This was phenomenal and the Vader/Anakin character overall is just incredible.
Hayden’s facial expressions when fighting is one of my favourite things about his portrayal of Anakin. He does a great job of showing the dark side and aggression he carries.
The moment he turns around with the “painful” face and says “or die” you can tell it’s painful for him to say that to his padawan. Even there you can see the conflict. But another person said he’s embraced his life and is the balance of light and dark. Meaning he’s now the mortis god.
His acting was amazing. But his dark side eyes being red instead of orange kind of threw me. Fealt inaccurate but maybe Dave was trying to depict something in that change?
@@sentientmustache8360 yeh against that black and blue background, I could see that being why. I was thinking maybe cuz in ep 3 Anakin had only dabbled in the dark side. But by the time of his death, he'd killed countless people. So I thought maybe that was why but yeh could've been purely an artistic choice, not a narrative one.
I think that something that went a bit under the radar was Hayden's mannerisms depending on where the character was. When we first see him, Hayden acts like his early ep III self with his dialog and movement. When we get to the clone wars, Hayden changes his speech pattern to match more like Matt Lanter's and move similar to how the show animated him. Then we see him take on his Sith self and it's like we are back on mustafar with the fighting style and dialogue right out of the end of ep III. Hayden did his research and it shows. He is one of the most dedicated star wars fans out there.
Totally agree. I was a kid during the prequels, but rewatching many times , never understood the hate. Sure I can see the view of Lucas's "not great dialogue", but I look at what the movies were and try not to think what it COULD BE , or even what it SHOULD have been . I disagree with that line of thinking especially for things I love . It's not worth it and dilutes the true meaningfulness of the badass story of star wars !
@@irohyes the problem with the prequels is that for 20 years fans built up numerous theories and ideas of what that time was like, so when we finally got the prequels George was left with an impossible task of meeting all those expectations. The prequels do have some problems but were definitely overhated. And as someone who grew up with them as well its nice to see them finally getting so much love in the past few years.
@@irohyes I believe that "hate" was more about the writing than Hayden himself. Though Lucas certainly didn't help with copying Hayden into the force ghost scene in RotJ, which really grated a lot of people the wrong way.
I totally agree he done his research or more like kept track of Anakin in the clone wars anime since he wanted to voice Anakin.... Regardless of what happened this just proves Hayden is Anakin & proves he was the correct actor all these years later.
Haydens acting was the perfect mix of the what he did in the Prequels and how Anakin was portrayed in TCW. Even his voice had some Matt Lanters inflections. Superb.
One thing about Hayden that's severely underrated is his body acting. The way the guy moves is 100% Anakin. The way he holds his lightsaber, the way he walks, the way he shifts his weight... And when he turns into his Vader self, he 100% moves like Vader.
No one could have captured the duality of Anakin/Vader better than Hayden. All I can say is that it was glorious, it was moving, and it was one of those sequences that brought tears to my eyes. Took me back to some of the happiest memories of my childhood as I grew up watching the prequel trilogy and Clone Wars. Using both the darkness he carried and the light within he taught his padawan one last valuable lesson even in death. In my eyes this moment shows that Anakin acheived total mastery over the force in death, in this state where he can be Vader and Anakin together, switching between both versions of himself at will. His flaws were always what made him real for me, and I love that they're holding together both the sides of him that I loved growing up.
It feels surreal that nearly 40 years later since Return of the Jedi released, we see a Anakin post-Vader. Fulfilling his purpose as the Chosen One. He’s basically two halves (prequels/Originals) of one whole now. The truest version of Anakin Skywalker. Episode gave me chills man

I am all in for Hayden to keep appearing as a force ghost to guide Ashoka like how Obiwan guided Luke in the original trilogy. I really hope its not just a one time thing.
I really hope so too. I loved this episode but as weird as it sounds I felt kind of sad and hollow after watching it. Like “that’s it?!” Definitely was NOT a bad episode but I was really hoping and am really hoping the Anakin scenes aren’t done yet. I love seeing Hayden Christensen back as Anakin. One thing that does worry me is sometimes trailers will show scenes and lines not in the movies/shows but I hope that isn’t the case.
@@onlyonekenobi2303IMDB only shows current episodes on TV series. Hayden has been in 2 so far, we don't know how many he will be in, and neither does the website. It's highly likely he will show up again....... hopefully.
If anyone noticed that Anakin’s voice didn’t have that high intonation/ inflection he had in the prequels. I truly saw Hayden deepen his voice to match the Anakin’s voice actor in the CW cartoon it’s so obvious. Hayden’s delivery was soo on point it was amazing.
I love how Hayden was humble enough to incorporate Matt Lanterns (Clone Wars) personality into his acting to “revamp” his take on Anakin . Showed he did his homework and realized how much Matt expanded Anakin’s confident and sassy nature .
@@rector0455 not his fault. For some reason that’s what George wanted at the time and it clearly backfired. He wanted to reflect an Anakin that was stressed and walking on egg shells constantly and completely ignore the side that made him so admired/respected and seem as the “hero of the clone wars”.
I remember when Hayden made his big return at Celebration 2017 and got a massive standing ovation. You can really tell that that’s when Hayden was finally able to begin recovering from all the crap he got during the prequels, and this is the culmination of the redemption of both Hayden and Anakin.
@@zaab-yaoh9302the ability to purely enjoy things without being overly critical and now being able to show Hayden the appreciation he deserves for making our childhoods, playing a character so influensial in our lives
@@jingle9691 yeah, I guess it was just the writing honestly. Cause I always thought prequel Anakin and Clone Wars Anakin were almost two different people. But this episode really bridges the gap and Hayden really shines.
I still can’t believe this is basically Anakin post-Vader. A fully realized Anakin. One that can wield the light and dark side of the force at will however he chooses. Dave you are truly Lucas apprentice
I'm almost certain now that Anakin took place of the Father from the Mortis realm, and this was his destiny as the Chosen One. It would explain how Ahsoka ended up in this place, Mortis God would have that power. It also explains his mastery of both sides, both light and dark and being able to use both for e.g. training Ahsoka.
Dave Filoni is truly the apprentice to George Lucas as he inherits his lore & storytelling of Star Wars and that why his work on the franchise is mostly loved by everyone.
Seeing a more wise Anakin not only use the Light, but aswell as the dark. Really shows how powerful and balanced the Chosen One is. It was so cool seeing Hayden again, hoping we get one more scene with him before he hangs up the role! Edit: Y’all gotta chill, Anakin has a clear use of both the Dark and the Light in this episode. I never said balance in the galaxy was both at use. I said it’s clear ANAKIN HIMSELF has balanced the use of both. Some of y’all are the reason the fandom sucks nowadays, SWs fans bicker about every little minuscule detail about the universe to the point where it sucks the enjoyment out of said universe. We’re all fans of the same franchise, don’t understand why all can’t just enjoy it.
@jacobnathan5595 I'm sure they will use em as much as they can now that they have him now that mark is getting older while hayden still looks decent for his age
Considering his response to “I won’t fight you” was “I’ve heard that before” I feel like we can say for certain that this is the real Anakin Skywalker. And if that’s the case then it does seem like he has taken up this role of the Chosen One and gone even beyond the Mortis Gods. Overseeing the World Between Worlds between space and time, I think that’s an awesome way to sort of end his story. I truly think that this is what full power Anakin would have looked like. He has made peace with his life and perfectly commands the Light and Dark Side of the Force. Awesome episode! DAVE IS COOKING!! 🔥
Well said. With the death of the father after their clone wars encounter, does it not make sense for the chosen one to become the new mortis father? Aka the chosen one who has walked both light and dark paths and now has a balance of both posthumously?
It’s jarring when you see ROTS Anakin, but he’s the same person who has all of the experiences of Darth Vader. He comes across as very wise, but also can snap and take matters into his own hands. When he tells Ahsoka, “Back to the beginning,” he portrays himself as Vader then. To try and get her to fight harder. He dominates her easily and only gets what he wants out of her by really making her feel like she’s going to die. He had to become Vader in order to save Ahsoka. The whole thing was really done. And Hayden sells it as Anakin/Vader. The de-aging makes him look the same, but the way he carries himself and speaks is so different.
@@logicaldude3611bro i think about this a lot. like this is now an anakin that lived through being vader so that’s also vader and like it’s crazy you can kinda see some vader mannerisms in him like when he cuts ahsoka off to say “you’ve learned nothing” i love to think about an anakin that has now lived through being vader
@@logicaldude3611i never thought i’d see someone understand it the way i do and think about it the same way but you do. i also think that even when he becomes vader he’s still in control unlike when he was actually vader. he’s just portraying that part of him but like deep down he’s still in complete control and isn’t really acting out of anger as much as portraying his old self so she can get the point
It was incredible. No one has done a better job at bringing a Clone Wars character to life. And he was also the only one that played the character before. Seriously, no one can ever question Hayden's acting again.
@@pr0methiumxyou can tell Hayden did his HW and learned the small things that Matt did to bring a new perspective to Anakin. Especially the way he talks.
Anakin could have only taught Ashoka this lesson after his time as Vader, as he really lost his desire to live after the death of Padme. He spent his time as Vader letting go of himself with nothing to live for, allowing the dark side to take over and all life sort of became meaningless to him. It wasn’t until he learned of his son that hope came back to him, and he’s trying to show Ashoka that there is hope for her future too. It’s crazy to realize that although his might look like prequels Anakin, he’s really over 50 years old with a greater maturity and understanding of the Force.
Yeah, no, you've got that wrong. Anakin lost Padme _because_ he willingly fell to the Dark Side. Perhaps, you've forgotten that Anakin tried to murder Padme?!?
@@deadmeat8754- yes. Sometimes you go down a path with good intentions but you end up harming the ones you love. Even more so that Anakin hurts as Vader because he killed Padme.
@@deadmeat8754 you have somehow found the depth of the point of the story whilst still not seeing the bigger picture it is meant to convey. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. That’s the abridged story of Anakin Skywalker.
@@gregg7233 No, I simply don't agree with your assumption that Anakin ever had good intentions. Like all corrosive narcissists, Anakin pursued his selfish desire for power and control, while justifying that pursuit with good intentions. His willingness to murder those he professed to love is ample proof of the superficiality of his good intentions.
Seeing Hayden do the twirl with the lightsaber and I was like "HE's BACK!" So much fun having of the intense duels back. Little Ahsoka was amazing as well. 10/10 episode.
Unpopular opinion but I actually thought it was really touching how Hera could hear the lightsabers in the force. The first time we heard about the force being in all living things was Kannan speaking to Hera during sabines training. He told her you just have to believe…I personally was moved because her hearing the lightsabers was because of her belief in the force which connects her to Kannan ❤
Yeah they are working on that the force is in everyone, I think they're building up for Sabine to be able to use a force ability. That part where hera heard kanan makes sense to me because of their strong emotional attachment to each other.
I took it as she would never have been able to hear the lightsabers if it wasn’t for her connection to jacen, I’d like to think that he was acting as a conduit of sorts and used that almost to relay what he was hearing
Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader is one of the greatest characters ever written. Love, tragedy, evil, and redemption all in one character arc. Absolutely brilliant.
Seeing Anakin walk into the battle grounds of the clone wars really gives us an insight into the horrible stuff he was put through. Imagine the ptsd from all the killing and destruction around him
Anakin murdered men, women and _children_ before the Clone Wars and expressed his satisfaction in that killing. Additionally, he was always comfortable with the violence of the Jedi Order missions and the Clone Wars. Violence was generally Anakin's first choice for resolutions. Anakin was able to justify violence towards his Great Love and his Master and Mentor. Anakin, as portrayed in the prequels, had borderline sociopathic tendencies. I'm not sure a good argument can be made to claim he suffered PTSD _from_ all the killing.
@@deadmeat8754 I didn’t say his actions are solely blamed on ptsd. I’m saying that his battlefield experiences only worsened his conflicted nature. Not excusing his behavior, but did he kill those Tusken Raiders before/after seeing his mother die in their captivity?
I feel like Hera being able to hear the lightsaber battle was because of Jacen being there and guiding her through the force or being some sort of outlet that allowed for Hera to tap into the force. This is supported by the fact that when Carson Teva asked Hu Yang what they were doing Hu Yang simply responded with, “Jacen has abilities” leaving Hera out.
Yeah I was thinking jacen was gonna grab her hand or something and allow her to hear it, idk why they didn't do that it would have been an easy way to explain it
@@Thomasfoolery69 This would have at least made more sense. I wish they'd have done this. The way it played out confused me so much because it felt like Hera could hear them too which is something I don't feel should have happened. Jason I am fine with, but not Hera...
It was, honestly, one of the best live-action episodes I’ve seen. I can see critiques, but wow. To see these historical events with Hayden, to feel the positive flow, was just amazing. May they continue to trust Filoni, and may the Force be with you, always…
It was okay but they exaggerated Hayden’s personality in the clone wars a jedi would not openly conform to View themselves as a soildier in any given time as it would limit ones self it was a decent episode just lacking more writing of higher concepts like all of the live action
As someone who's always loved star wars and identified with it in a lot of ways, and is currently going through some shit irl...this episode hit me on a deep level, when it comes to the lesson anakin was trying to teach. The line "live or die" and the way you described it, as ahsoka has just been surviving rather than living...this episode is beautiful and absolutely true star wars material.
This episode embodies so many of the values OG Star Wars, and it is so refreshing to see it again. Balancing the self, overcoming your personal limits, accepting who you are, etc. This is just a brilliant showing from Dave Filloni, and Hayden is the cherry on top, he really proved why he's such a fantastic actor and the Anakin we all wanted to see again. Really, really excited to see where this series is going.
That clip of Anakin morphing into Vader in those flashes of Lightning are both awesome and kinda terrifying. Showing Anakin and Vader one in the same, but also showing Vader as this almost Demonic entity.
Not even halfway in to this episode I understood why this was chosen to air at certain cinemas. This was a freaking rollercoster of emotions, absolute perfection.
The way Hayden was able to switch from the Dark Side to the light side again was phenomenal, unlike other actors in the franchise, you can tell he really love Star Wars and in every apparition he gave his all. Anakin was majestic this time, his presence, his movements, his teachings, seeing him becoming finally a “master”of the force was really refreshing. Hayden was born to be Anakin Skywalker.
@@407cedricbad not for me,i was 12 yrs old and i loved his the moment i saw in rots. The clothes, the hair, his fighting style, loved everything about his character, nothing has change now that i am 31 i still love Hayden Anakin
It’s there’s anything more I can say about this episode, the fact that anakin can tap into his dark side to bring himself back to the light, just shows that even in death. He is the strongest and greatest Jedi to ever live. LONG LIVE THE KING
Love how Anakin said you're never too old to learn, and Ahsoka is now the same age that Anakin was when Anakin "learned" and went back to the light side. Incredible episode.
Maybe Jacen's abilities were such that when Hera cleared her mind, HE served as the conduit for her to be able to hear the clash of sabers. Perhaps even without realizing it too!
I like to think that the planet or even just the specific location is strong with the force. It serves as a gateway that even non-force sensitives could hear it.
I loved all the small details in this episode. Anakin’s voice blending with Vader’s modulated voice when he says, “You lack conviction,” was perfection. I knew we would get Clone Wars flashbacks, but to see the Siege of Mandalore and Mauldalorians was a surprise to be sure. As for her “winning” the fight, the point wasn’t about winning or losing. Anakin was teaching her his final lesson which is to overcome her guilt. This wasn’t the Force or her mind telling her to live, it was Anakin reaching out to her. The lesson was for her to embrace her legacy and realize that she is more than her mistakes, just like Anakin. As Luke says, “Always get back up.” Her surviving underwater can easily be explained as she was in a Force Trance. Even the most mediocre Jedi on the brink of death are capable of amazing things through the Force. I have a strong feeling this isn’t the last we see of Anakin in this series. I’m still hoping for a Luke conversation, but this episode was just as great at the last one. I hope it keeps that momentum going forward!
A scene with Ahsoka, Force Ghost Anakin, and Luke together would be amazing. Add in Force Ghost Yoda and Obi-Wan and they’ll give people heart attacks.
The grey-white transformation is also observable in Kenobi, where at the beginning Obi-Wan is all depressed and still feeling guilty, but at the end of the series he's more at peace, dressed in white, essentially transforming into Ben Kenobi. The fact that both Ahsoka and Kenobi have to grapple with the guilt that they feel in relation to Anakin's fall is a core part of their character development.
@@WhitehawkGodsendgamingit’s because it doesn’t seem like Dave Filoni was involved In Kenobi. He should be the head of all story development at Lucasfilm. He’s the only one that understands the assignment.
Ahsoka being between life and death in a world between worlds. A socalled limbo. Her leaving the world between worlds purified by water. With the help of Anakin she is moving forward Leaving behind guilt, sadness and battle scars and accepting life. It was beautiful and masterly made by Dave Filoni. 👏👏👏
Another superpower women beating the most powerful jedi. This IS the Real reason this episode with Anakin fighting Ahsoka it was produce by Disney. Dont forget, the force IS female since 2012. If you dont see it in all the shows, you are part of the problem.
@OneSpread I totally disagree with the nonsense of the Force is female. Have you even seen the episodes!?! There is nothing "WOKE" about it. She getting beaten Baylan and of course she is given a chance to live by Anakin, her master. What do think. Ahsoka is probably the best thing that has come out, since the Revenge of the Sith. The only big error is, that you have to watch Star Wars Rebels to understand the nuisances of Ahsoka. And yes, it has some minor faults, like bringing a kid to war, some acting errors, etc... But so does the Star Wars Prequels. Even the Prequels and Sequels had slow pace scenes. If you want none stop male action, then stop whining and go watch some Michael Bay movie.
I don’t think Hera could hear through the force. I don’t think she could hear at all. Huyang only mentioned that Jacen had abilities. When you’re a parent, you can almost just feel your child’s energy. When they are at peace, you are at peace. When they enjoy something, you can feel it and enjoy seeing them enjoy it. When they are in pain you are in pain. She was just vibing and inspired by her son
Yes. Like Theory, I was also sort of pulled back by Hera hearing what Jason hears, but then I rationalized that Hera has a strong connection to Jason because it's her son, and because of that connection, Jason can make his mom hear what he hears through the force. So no, Hera is not hearing through the force, instead Jason is allowing his mom to hear what he is hearing. This would make sense. Allowing force users (e.g. Jason) and non-force users (e.g. Hera) that are connected by blood to allow glimpses into the force really makes sense and upholds that there's no way Hera could ever tap into the force on her own.
Though George Lucas did say that EVERYONE can use the force. However most don't believe in the force and so they are not open to using it, while others may use it to some extent without acknowledging that they are using the force but rather just think they have "natural" talents and skills. It might have something to do with what makes Hera such a great pilot!!
Or it could be a part of the kids power to allow her to feel what he feels? Like a sphere of influence? Hence why he gets her to stand next to him and meditate, I dont think he knows he can do this, more like a natural ability.
I'm going to agree with some of the other comments that Hera did hear because of Jacen's ability in the Force. Almost like like form of Force telepathy/empathy/presence. Kylo and Rey were able to share each other's experiences to a greater degree because of the Force dyad. Just like Anakin was able to feel his loved ones pain, a Force user could possibly work this connection in reverse... share their senses/experiences. So only because Jacen's power was Hera able. She normal would be closed to the Force. A great use of the power of love opening possibilities in the Force. "... It binds the galaxy together"
At 5:17 you can see Ahsoka and Anakin are standing in shallow water in the world between worlds. So they’re occupying the same physical space as the water she fell into, but obviously in another dimension. That’s why Jacen could hear them. They’re literally walking on the water, fighting right in front of him.
I don't think the actress fits Ahsoka of that time very well. Young Ahsoka sure, but by mandalore she wasn't a child anymore, she was nearly an adult at 17.
I don't know why, but even though I knew Ahsoka was a kid during the Clone Wars, this is the first time I'm realizing, "she was just a kid during a terrible war." Seeing a child play her, it makes a difference.
I guess they are friends or something but the way he kept bringing him up was a bit weird. It looks like he used to work on the James Bond films too and I've never seen a review of a Bond movie saying they need to bring back this particular stunt coordinator
@@jamesarnold7253Solid disagree. The fact that Hayden can still give flashes of moves he learned 20 years ago speaks to the massive gulf in training between what was done in the prequels and what has been done under the Mouse
@@LordSluggo I'm sure this guy was a very good stunt coordinator. But looking at his Wikipedia he's just been working on TV dramas over here in the UK for more than the last decade. He's not exactly someone you'd consider for a relatively big budget US based series I'm just saying the identity of the stunt coordinator usually isn't a big enough point to come up more than once in a review. They coordinate the stunts but it's the director who actually chooses what the stunts are
@@LordSluggo mate if you think it would be worth it for a US based studio to fly out a specific UK stunt coordinator from 20 years ago then fair enough. But most would consider that a waste of time
Seeing Anakin vacillating between Vader and himself was incredible. Teaching Ahsoka in his ethereal form to become more enlightened with the force, which culminated in her transformation to Ahsoka the White. Essentially Anakin has replaced the Father ascending to become the final Mortis god keeper of the balance, and Ahsoka has now assigned the role of the Daughter
Also, my favorite parts were any scene with Hayden, and the young Ahsoka! Especially when they fought - i could see that Hayden understood the assignment despite Gillard not being there to help with choreography. Hayden carried most of the episode for me, but then young Ahsoka was brilliant too - seeing her more and more throughout the episode. Her choreography was far better than anything Dawson has been in to date imo.
The way that Rosario said "I choose to live" is actually really well done, at first she seems angry but on repeat watches it's just her determination coming back to her in the heat of the moment.
Ahosoka feels like Star Wars, the show respects the true legacy and this episode got me quite emotional. Oh how to be an innocent child or a teen with no worries, watching Star Wars and forgetting about everything else, for that moment. Thank you Dave, and partly Disney for trusting Dave's visions.
Anakin's lesson to Ahsoka is basically that iconic line in Rocky 6: "It's not about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can GET hit, and keep moving forward! That's how WINNING is done!"

Nearly at the end of the episode when Ahsoka and Huyang are about to take the leap into peridia and they have this dialogue: "We'll just see where it goes" "It could go anywhere"..."I know, but that's better than going nowhere". I think this is a poetic way in which Dave is talking about the future of star wars.
*The transition from Anakin to Vader was so good that it won the episode for me 😊.* So well done, Dave Filoni is the true heir to the Star Wars Empire 👏
One thing I haven’t seen anyone comment on is that THIS was Ashoka’s Trial of Spirit, one of the final Jedi Trials to become a Jedi Knight and from the looks of it shes passed the test…. I feel like the Trials don’t get taken into consideration as much anymore and it’s nice to see it played out again similar to the dream sequence Luke had in the cave on Dagobah…. I wish they showed more about the Trials, it’s always been an interesting aspect of Jedi training to me after having read the Jedi Path book years ago
I was thinking about the scene with Jacen hearing the World between Worlds and Hera, and I think the implication from Jacen "guiding" Hera with his words was that he was actually "dialing her in" through his own Force powers, kind of using his ability to call out as Luke did to Leia before Leia began her training. Through this telepathy, he was more "sharing his experiences" than it was that she was hearing it on her own.
I could almost see Kanan standing there telling Hera (as he did in Rebels) that the force is in everyone; they just have to be open to it. She was open to it standing there with their son.
Nope. Leia was force sensitive - and massively so. She was a skywalker after all. Hera should have heard nothing and just trusted her son's sensitivity. That would have made way more sense
I just assumed that Hera was able to hear the Echoes through the force because of her son. She shares a strong motherly connection with him and is receptive to an open to the force because of her love for her late husband. She's not truly force-sensitive and never would have heard it had it not been for her son
This episode and series has actually really made me appreciate Ashoka and Anakin and what beautiful characters they are. To see a young teenage Ashoka fighting in war actually makes you realise she was 14 when she started fighting in the Clone Wars. Also I never realised before how obvious it was that Anakin was just destined to become Vader. Vader wasn’t born on the night he betrayed Mace Windu and pledged himself to the Sith. He was born and thrived on the bloody battlefields of the Clone wars. It makes you realise that Anakin was always going to become Vader, regardless of what anyone tried to do, he loved battle, violence and victory. Star Wars actually is a beautiful piece of Machiavellian art when it’s viewed from this level. Plagius and Sidious’s plan was so beautiful in its sinister simplicity and design. It’s evil as hell but it plays on the flaws of all sentient beings. Ashoka is a child soldier overcoming extreme PTSD and trauma from losing so much. It may be a space opera but it’s still really hard hitting. The acting from Hayden Christensen was just phenomenal, he’s studied Matt Lanter’s delivery of lines and has blended the styles beautifully. Ariana Greenblatt as young Ashoka legit made me cry when she was comforting the injured clone and questioning the loss of so many of her men. Rosario Dawson has been such a soldier following Filoni’s instructions to be so melancholy for the first 4 episodes. I’ve always loved her as an actress, she’s awesome, I was really pissed at Star Wars fans attacking her. I know she will now bring that cheeky, funny beautiful energy to adult Ashoka now she is free of her guilt. Dave Filoni you have single handedly restored my faith in the direction of Star Wars. My favourite part of the episode was Anakin flickering between himself and Vader it just blew my mind that I’d never seen that Vader was always there right in front of you always. You are the Heir to the Empire, please keep this beautiful storytelling coming. I haven’t felt this way since the credits rolled on ROTS in 2005. Not to say that the other shows haven’t been good. But that was the closest I’ve felt to George Lucas cinematic Star Wars I really wish I’d watched it in a cinema. Just unbelievable, Star Wars is back baby, Let Dave Cook, that kitchen of dreams is smelling divine🙏👍❤️
...literally the entire two trilogies are about Anakin, lol. Not to mention TCW. Jesus, you're literally like that meme, with Anakin going "I want my own spin-off show" and Obi-Wan replying "Your own spin-off show? Anakin, all 6 movies are your spin-off show!"
something about paying royalties to George when using original characters vs characters they created I've heard. If it's true it's much more profitable to make a home run hit with their own than to re use George's characters, which is to the fans detriment.
I love this Anakin that we get to see in this episode. You can really tell that he's actually both Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Knight and Darth Vader, Lord of The Sith. He truly is both people in whole and you can see it in him. I just love it!❤
Easily one of Hayden’s best performances as Anakin! I hope that is not the end of his cameo and we will see him again. Still haven’t heard that trailer dialogue from him so I’m hopeful for more and this episode left me wanting more. Fantastic.
There’s just so much here that was perfect. Hayden really put his all into this episode and he perfectly played the clone wars animated version of himself. I was screaming like a child when I saw Rex and the scenes where Anakin showed Vader was insane. I love that Anakin was back to give a final lesson and having Anakin back in general was amazing

With Hera hearing the light sabres I felt like it wasn’t her hearing them on her own, but Jason showing her with his abilities. Almost seamed like something they’ve done before. And it kinda makes sense that Jason would have force hearing, just look at his dad.
Yes!!! I thought the same. I would even say that if they choose to make the explanation that he can temporarily help people connect with the force more strongly then this can also be used later if there is a scenario where Sabine has to fight Baylan and everyone thinks she is doomed but Jacen helps her force connect for a fee moments and helps her win as a jedi and have that experience. Sounds a little convoluted but its possible and Dave can probably do it 10000 times better than I'm explaining. 😅
I still haven't been able to process this episode emotionally. I got into Star Wars because of Hayden. Seeing him this episode had me in tears. I'm married with 3 kids, I have bills galore, but watching this episode made all my stress go away. Thank you Hayden!
I agree felt great to care about nothing else for little bit.. that's what is missing from entertainment today... more lecturing than storytelling... This episode was one of the best in star wars .... next to Luke in Mando and Vader in rogue one... I wish Disney would sell it to a fan..., the stories that could be told... And if they actually meet the Yuzong Vong in the next galaxy I will fucking spaz out full nerd.. lol
Haha same man, but 2 kids! Though I don’t understand how theory can nitpick this episode, it was perfect! It seems like nothing will be good enough for him
I didn't get the feeling that Hera heard the lightsabers or so even while focusing, I got more of a feeling that she was playing along with Jacen and just acknowledged that he might be onto something, put her trust in her kid. Her reaction was always just that strenuous smile while listening to what to her is probably just waves.
I didn’t like that Hera could hear the lightsabers crash beneath the waves… only Force sensitive beings should be able to do so…. That’s one of my main complaints about the Star Wars Disney series, that anyone can use the Force and master it
@@jediuli1981Then you don’t get George’s take on the Force. It’s not an entity that is reserved for a select few gatekeepers, as much as the most myopic Jedi would want it to be. It surrounds everyone and everything, and if someone is open to it, even they can access a small part it.

I got so emotional during this episode. While I know we were all speculating that a young Ahsoka would show up at some point and we even got a confirmation at some point, but it was incredible what they did with a younger version of Ahsoka. I was shocked that I started to actually cry. Seeing the clones in live action and our favorite jedi chaos duo was amazing. Seeing the bond that Ahsoka shared with the clones as she placed her hand on the injured man and him placing his hand on her in return. I cried and I'm not ashamed. That bond meant so much to her and I know if I was in her place that I would hate to see the men that fought beside every day get injured or die in battle. As much as she cared for them, she had to basically live with the fact that most of them would die at some point. It's a horrible thought and existence if you think about it. Later we see a live action version of the Siege of Mandalore and I lost it! The Maul loyalists and Rex.😭 Our boy Rex actually got some lines and I was so happy! It was great seeing scenes I never thought I'd see in a live action show. The fight scenes between Ahsoka and Anakin were really interesting to watch, though I'm with you Theory in that we should have had Nick Gillard as the fight choreographer. It would have been so much better. COMMENT BELOW IF YOU AGREE THAT NICK GILLARD SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIGHT CHOREOGRAPHER. Overall, amazing show. Dave Filoni just keep proving himself as our Star Wars hope for amazing shows that stay with real George Lucas storyline.
Way back when people were crapping all over Hayden's acting, I never got it. I never felt like that. It's so great to see he's able to keep going and getting such great support. He's amazing and deserves his own Anakin series.
Good actors can look bad via bad writing. Alternatively, Hayden could've grown as an actor since his prequel days. To clarify, I'm not really taking a stance on Hayden's acting then or now, but these are just things to consider if trying to understand others' opinions.
@@MatteoRuberto This. Plus, an Anakin series would ruin everything else. It's best for him to just appear like this to important characters he's connected with like Ahsoka and Luke. He's the great grand master of the force now, he aint got time for no series
A few well executed Clone Wars member berries hardly undue the legacy of failure that is Disney Star Wars or right the ship. You people are so desperate you'll devour any slop they shovel your way, like when Theory was calling Kenobi episodes 9/10's. 😆 Reality set in then, it will this time too. But for whatever it's worth, these are cool scenes, Hayden is great and young Ahsoka is pretty good too. And yes even I'll acknowledge that is an improvement over the rest of the Disney Shart Wars catalogue of failure.
No, no it's not. SW is still beyond hope. If Disney needs member berries to get people excited for SW, then it's because nobody wants to watch their original stories.
I think what made this lightsaber battle so great. Was the fact that you could see remnants of Nick's training in Anakins saber movements and I think it really added to the master apprentice dynamic during the battle.
I felt Hera could only hear the lightsabers through Jacen. She may not have a connection to the force but she definitely does with her son who, through the force, could project the sound to Hera. While never shown to be possible before it makes sense to me and is a beautiful and unique way of showing the power of the force.
*If anyone didn't notice, Ahsoka had a "Dark Rendezvous" moment. This book is about Yoda & Count Dooku. One them tapped fully into the dark side. Ahsoka touched the Dark Side of the Force for a split second before saying, "I choose to live" response to Anakin here in episode 5. Such a great episode!*
The lesson is understanding when to use your emotions and when to refrain. Conviction and emotion. Luke used it to beat Vader BUT not like him. Just like she does to Anakin.
Hayden did an amazing job acting in Episode 5- Asoka. He captured all of Anikin's arc through the 6 movies, the Clone Wars animated series and Rebels! We need more Hayden in Star Wars and other genre movies.
Dave is the chosen one. All felt right again watching that episode. They got the little kid in me back with that. Seeing Rex and Anakin in live action made me feel something I forgot I could feel with Star Wars. Can’t wait for episode 6 and I’m so happy to say I’m in love with Star Wars again.

At 10:57 of the episode, Hera looks at Jacen in amazement because he is the one who opened up the force to her so she could hear it. Even without any training he is able to share the force. What an ability that will be with time and training!
@@imransuhail82 That would be interesting if Jacen did that for Sabine. I think discovering Ezra alive will somehow bring out those dormant abilities of hers. Jedi aren't supposed to focus on emotions and connection, but Ahsoka said she needs Sabine to be herself and not a Jedi.
That was definitely The real Anakin. When he made that reference to Luke in ROTJ and training Ahsoka to overcome Vader the way he had to in order to beat Palpatine. This show is the true sequels
I am convinced that Hera heard the light sabers BECAUSE Jacen heard them. When he tells her to listen, it’s almost like he amplifies the sound for her. If I’m not mistaken, they were holding hands when she started listening. I think Jacen is going to end up SO powerful. Edit: they definitely weren’t holding hands. But I’m still under the impression that Jacen made it possible for Hera to hear those light sabers.
I can see that but I disagree. I think Jacen will choose to stay with Sabine and Ahsoka once Hera deem it able. I don’t think he will be at Luke’s Jedi Temple. But we will see 😊
@@rayken64 if you want to be negative, sure. But it’s also how an honors kid wants to find foreshadowing or allusions. Those won’t pay off for future episodes. It can’t be a plot hole or bad writing unless it’s never paid off at some point. Until the series is over we can’t call it that because there is still the potential of it being paid off.
Hayden was amazing. Given several things in the episode, I believe it's genuinely Anakin, not anything else. When Anakin greets Ahsoka, he tells her regarding her fight with Baylon, "Trust me, you lost". Sounds like Anakin was actually watching Ahsoka from the World Between Worlds in that moment. I think he's the one who pulled her into the World Between Worlds when she went into the ocean. I think a portal was opened in the ocean to the World Between Worlds, and remained open for the duration of Ahsoka's experience. That's why Jacen could sense and hear their lightsaber dual so easily. Also at the end, when Anakin says "There's hope for you yet", right before vanishing, there's a sound from above the water, which was Hera's ship and the X-wings. I noticed Anakin looked up toward that direction just prior to disappearing. Ahsoka also fully turns around to look up toward the noise. When Anakin is gone, she is then transported back into the ocean. That's why I feel it may have been Anakin who brought her into the World Between Worlds and returned her back., as well as bringing her back into the Clone Wars moments, he seemed to be controlling where they went.
💯💯. Finally Disney gives us something that feels close to or really like Star Wars. Based Filoni. Nobody’s going to match what George did/can do with Star Wars but he’s def a worthy successor to continue this universe. Tbh they should’ve just given Filoni the keys at the start of the entire Disney run. Would’ve been so much better.
I liked the lightsaber choreography. Its like a mix of the originals and prequels. Very samurai/ronin like but also has some flair. More realistic but still epic and most importantly powerful. I'm not saying Gillard couldn't choreograph like the director wants, but I think this style is the best we've gotten.
Agreed, and the power of the saber clashes and swings between characters(including the fight between Baylan and Ahsoka) hold an emotional weight that the prequels didn’t quite capture imo. I LOVE the prequel choreography but they were more technical and precise, which I don’t think quite matches the atmosphere of this show. We won’t even talk about the sequel choreography, it lacked all subtlety and form except for Kylo’s technique which actually was decently compelling.
For me, the choreography wasn't as good as the prequels obviously, but it was still great. I think one important thing is that they don't have to emulate the prequels in every way. They can take things in a different direction and it works well here. Plus, Hayden's movements as Anakin reminded me more of the animated version from the Clone Wars show, voiced by Matt Lanter.@@AdamRice9740
I got more samurai vibes from episode 4 and more Gillard vibes in this episode. Really liking the wider camera angles of the fights so you can appreciate some of the techniques being used
I genuinely got goosebumps watching Anakin walk away and throughout all those explosions flashes of Vader then going back to Anakin. The torment is real. Side note I want more Rex

Ahsoka feels like what the sequels should’ve been. Why is Dave not running SW? He understands the character writing, acting, narrative, lore, and significance of dynamics better than any one else over at Disney
Hmmm it was some good nostalgia but I can't say the writing on this show is good. Far from it. Hayden was brilliant. Dawson looks like she spent about an hour practicing lightsaber combat. Hayden did all the work in their duel. I think Dawson was the wrong choice to play Ashoka. She might look like what Ashoka would in her later years but it ends there. That young actress that played young Ashoka was far more brilliant in her tiny amount of screen time.
Hera in "The Bad Batch" showed she was almost force sensitive which is why she is such a good pilot. The Force is in everyone, with Jacen force projecting what he hears to his mother, it's not a surprise she hears it.
Exactly! If Ezra & Maul could share visions what's stopping mother and son from tethering each other's hearing? Heck, i'd bet the mechanism is akin to mindtricks! Works on those who aren't force sensitive.
You can have some Force Sensitivity and they can have some Force Sensitivity and Everyone can have some Force sensitivity because why not? The Force is in everything, yes. However, connectivity and manipulation of The force was, in Lucas's original vision, a rarity. When you deprecate something to the point of banality it is no longer special. When the exceptional is forsaken for the mean it ceases to hold any worthwhile value.
This episode is really the most phenomenal episode of Ahsoka. It definitely felt like Fallen Order when Cal had to confront his vision of his master Jaro Tapal-in which he blamed himself for his master's death and not being able to save him. It definitely was amazing to see Anakin and Ahsoka reunited, as well as those Clone Wars flashback, and not to mention REX!!!!
Seeing a live action Ashoka fighting in the clone wars really made me realize just how young she was when she had to go through that. Don't get me wrong I always knew how old she was but seeing a kid fighting a war in live action hits much harder than it does in animation.
I didnt get the vibe that Hera could feel the world between worlds, but respectively that she believed Jacen, and not to doubt him. Having spent so much time with Kanen she would know to trust these feelings Jedi have. I'm on board. Solid episode! 9/10 for me!
I personally thought that when Anakin said "I've heard that one before", he was actaully refrencing the moment in Rebels when Ahsoka told Vader/Anakin she would not fight him. And then Vader told her "Then you will die." Which sorta matches up with the lesson Anakin is teaching Ahsoka in this episode, live or die.
The Anakin force ghost scenes were amazing, along with the lesson he was trying to teach her. I loved Hayden portraying a real life version of his clone wars character. The voice and mannerisms were PERFECT
Awesome recap! I loved how Anakin could sense Ahsoka was going to be rescued and how perfectly that timed was with the “There’s Hope for You Yet” line and him looking up almost to gesture that she was going to be saved and have new life
I thought the choreography was spot on showing how Anakin would fight if restored to his fully organic body. He's kept the power moves and is more efficient but shows his speed when it is needed.
The fact Anakin understands the light and the dark side , I believe it makes him the BEST possible master and teacher ! Edit : YES , even surpassing Yoda.
Thats quite the hot take... Guy had one pupil and he didnt even finish her training let alone wanted to do it to begin with... Vs the guy who lived 900+ years and trained countless number of force users. Very hot take indeed...
Thank you Dave and Hayden. This episode was so beautiful and I love how Anakin and Ahsoka(young and old) interacted. Star Wars is not only about fun characters and lightsaber fights. We can learn lessons from this episode to incorporate into our lives, and that’s the beauty of Star Wars.
On the Hera point about "using the force". I feel like, because it wasnt hit you over the head obvious, people didnt realize that Hera was force sensitive back in Rebels. She's literally the one that recruited Ezra. She told Kanan to test him and take him in. She knew what he was and had that sense.
I don’t think Hera really was able to hear the lightsabers. We see that she really tries to, but in the end I just think she trusted her son since she couldn’t hear anything.
IT WAS AN AMAZING EPISODE It was so exciting to see Anakin and Ahsoka during the Clone Wars in live action; Hayden gave a performance as charismatic as Anakin from the Clone Wars. I loved watching Ahsoka duel with Anakin in the World Between Worlds (the scene of Anakin transitioning between the light and dark sides was amazing), and Ahsoka's white outfit is really cool. REX IN LIVE ACTION!! 🔥
@BenSlashes exactly, it's sad that it's gotten so fucking shit that this is considered good. Everything would be so much better with better ideas and writing and if Disney wasn't forcing these to have agenda in them. Imagine if this was a luke show with anakin and luke, but they will never do that because they hate the idea of a father and son taking the spotlight.
@@SgtMcDumpergenuinely curious what you’re disliking? Personally I’m loving this and don’t understand what people expect. If people are not like it due to choreography then people are way too harsh
@oliverskelton6486 the show overall has been slow and boring with really bad dialogue and a very simple plot, and I just don't like Disneys Star Wars as a whole anymore, they've fucked up way too many times and ruined what made Star Wars great. If Disney were smart they would've made this show a movie and made it about Luke Han and Leia and called it Heir to the Empire.
Biggest W of an episode. Dave Filoni is the goat and the future of Star Wars.

What would you change?

I would’ve thrown in a scene on Mustafar
Favorite part was Dave somehow making the animated Clone Wars even better with his writing. That man and his direction is genius

Can't argue with this comment, it was fantastic.
Hayden’s facial expressions when fighting is one of my favourite things about his portrayal of Anakin. He does a great job of showing the dark side and aggression he carries.
Right
When he fights as Anakin, he looks smug and confident, but when he lets Vader out he looks downright rabid
@@bastianwright3402 i think the sith eyes were tweaked to be more noticeable

I got chills when Anakin was running and deflecting blasts with his saber 😍😍😍 that put me in the clone wars even more than the hair and clothes
Haydens acting was the perfect mix of the what he did in the Prequels and how Anakin was portrayed in TCW. Even his voice had some Matt Lanters inflections. Superb.
Yep! Love how he lost the “Keanu” spacey/aloof tone and got more of a commanding Bass to his voice to sound more like Matt
ikr! He's even watched The Clone Wars so he knows
One thing about Hayden that's severely underrated is his body acting. The way the guy moves is 100% Anakin. The way he holds his lightsaber, the way he walks, the way he shifts his weight...
And when he turns into his Vader self, he 100% moves like Vader.
LUKE SKYWALKER BIBLE⁉️
maybe because.. he acted anakin originally?
Those hard downward strikes gave me Luke Returns vibes. But the "Incorrect" was it.
This tho.
Physical acting including facial expressions has always been Hayden's strength. Turn down the volume in episodes II and III and you'll see it more.
Seeing Hayden in his Clone Wars armor was so surreal and incredible. This show is getting better and better, Dave and Jon are legends
100%

Oooooh yes. Loved this explanation ❤
Can we take a moment to appreciate Hayden’s take on Matt Lanter’s Anakin? I am 100% in on this series. Filoni for the win again.

It was incredible. No one has done a better job at bringing a Clone Wars character to life. And he was also the only one that played the character before.
Seriously, no one can ever question Hayden's acting again.
I definitely felt a heavy matt latner vibe watching this episode
I love how he did that, not only with the deepness of his voice but also in his delivery of the lines. It was definitely a shoutout to Matt.
Ooh I like this! Thanks👏🏼
Or her love for her son. She believes in him
I took it as she would never have been able to hear the lightsabers if it wasn’t for her connection to jacen, I’d like to think that he was acting as a conduit of sorts and used that almost to relay what he was hearing
@@josephnichols5308 Yes! This was exactly my interpretation
Completely agree and I think SWT is 100% wrong at 6:00. As Ahsoka said to Sabine, the Force resides in all living things.
Anakin Skywalker is by far my favorite Star Wars character. Seeing him at essentially his peak of balance in the Force was incredible.
Imagine the ptsd from all the killing and destruction around him
I felt like this bridged the films, you can finally understand his transformation between episode 2 and 3
Anakin murdered men, women and _children_ before the Clone Wars and expressed his satisfaction in that killing.
@@deadmeat8754 dude was born into slavery, ya kind of don't get to be a pacifist once you have a ounce of power after such a upbrining.
@@deadmeat8754 I didn’t say his actions are solely blamed on ptsd. I’m saying that his battlefield experiences only worsened his conflicted nature. Not excusing his behavior, but did he kill those Tusken Raiders before/after seeing his mother die in their captivity?
We already knew this from TCW. It was literally just a fans service return with no real substance…
I feel like this show is trying to express that jedi kinda became gatekeepers of the force.
I don't think Hera ever confirmed that she could actually hear the lightsabers.
I think because that world is a focal point of the force, it allows normal people to hear it in this case the fighting if they focused hard enough

Great stuff man, I agree.

That was a perfect piece of film, didn't expect it at all
This is probably Hayden's best performance along side ROTS it's great that he's finally getting the love and respect he deserves.

Maybe Jacen's abilities were such that when Hera cleared her mind, HE served as the conduit for her to be able to hear the clash of sabers. Perhaps even without realizing it too!
It may also be possible that Anakin was giving Hera the ability to hear the fight so they'd be able to save Ahsoka later.
I like to think that the planet or even just the specific location is strong with the force. It serves as a gateway that even non-force sensitives could hear it.
@Balizaharee that could definitely help with explaining how Ahsoka even fell into the world between worlds, when it took a whole portal on Lothal
@@Balizaharee yeah, that is along of the lines of what I am thinking.

Heck yeah, the quick glimpse of the Mauldolorians was awesome.
If Leigh Poppins can survive the vacuum of space then Ashoka surviving in the ocean isn't that much of a stretch lol.

With the help of Anakin she is moving forward Leaving behind guilt, sadness and battle scars and accepting life. It was beautiful and masterly made by Dave Filoni. 👏👏👏
Also her outfit, smile, and tranquility in the face of the unknown when she’s in the ship surrounded by Purgil’s really illustrates that.
Another superpower women beating the most powerful jedi. This IS the Real reason this episode with Anakin fighting Ahsoka it was produce by Disney. Dont forget, the force IS female since 2012. If you dont see it in all the shows, you are part of the problem.

@@OneSpreadjust say you don’t like women lol. Must be boring living alone
Hera) that are connected by blood to allow glimpses into the force really makes sense and upholds that there's no way Hera could ever tap into the force on her own.
ok

That’s exactly what I thought was happening, so I was surprised some people missed this.

Yah I'm not sure why Star Wars Theory isn't perceiving it this way. Makes way more sense than his complaints about the scene

It seems like nothing will be good enough for him
And this is what entertainment should be about...the emotions. Love your honesty.
Exactly.

Same here. Hayden gets flack, yet Mark Hamill gets a pass? Fr tho. Idk if my balls could handle Anakin getting his own series tbh
Anakin series? I think they made 6 movies about that 😅
Good actors can look bad via bad writing.
You guys really can take a joke
"You lack conviction!" Already one of the greatest moments in star wars for me. Thank you Dave for carrying Star Wars as best you can
Hayden's acting was on point! It's so beautiful to see him in this role again and killing it!
Star Wars is officially alive again! Hayden was absolutely amazing - thanks to anyone that is involved in this series so far!!!!
Star Wars was never dead. It's been great this entire time. I love all of Star Wars
A few well executed Clone Wars member berries hardly undue the legacy of failure that is Disney Star Wars or right the ship.
You people are so desperate you'll devour any slop they shovel your way, like when Theory was calling Kenobi episodes 9/10's. 😆
Reality set in then, it will this time too.
@@rector0455why do people like you keep watching? Baffling
They are literally playing off your nostalgia. The only good parts are when they use what? The old story, the old actors, and the old characters.
What if she didn't hear them but just decided to believe and trust her son? Or even just imagined it.
Perfectly said ❤❤❤
Makes a lot of sense because we have never seen a force user grow with their birth mother and this is the strongest connection you could have
@@YungFeelo175interesting point
I think that Seatos is a Force Nexus, which also helped Hera sense what is going on
*If anyone didn't notice, Ahsoka had a "Dark Rendezvous" moment. This book is about Yoda & Count Dooku. One them tapped fully into the dark side. Ahsoka touched the Dark Side of the Force for a split second before saying, "I choose to live" response to Anakin here in episode 5. Such a great episode!*
For just a split moment at that part, her eyes looked like they turned sith but it was a little hard to tell if it was just the lightsaber glow.
They turned for sure. Same thing when she wrecked shin last episode.
@@MaynardOwns Yup even before she raises the lightsaber you see her eyes shift.
And people keep wondering why Luke felt that touch of the Dark side for split second when he saw some Future Visions of Ben Solo in Last Jedi.
We need an Anakin show set during the Clone Wars. Like a Prequal Trilogy expansion
Where was Rex?

At 10:57 of the episode, Hera looks at Jacen in amazement because he is the one who opened up the force to her so she could hear it. Even without any training he is able to share the force. What an ability that will be with time and training!
Like sharing it with a non force sensitive padwan of Ahsoka who has the training already but not the force ability 😅
I definitely think he was projecting his thoughts into her at the very least.
I think Jacen is going to get killed by Kylo Ren at Luke’s Jedi temple
I can see that but I disagree. I think Jacen will choose to stay with Sabine and Ahsoka once Hera deem it able. I don’t think he will be at Luke’s Jedi Temple. But we will see 😊
Star wars fans always trying to find an explanation for the plot holes or bad writing!
" he's the one who pulled her into the World Between Worlds"
Of coarse, there is no other explanation. Besides, Anakin is known to break rules.
This was the best Star Wars in years. The entire story told in this one episode was better than the entire Disney wars trilogy.
@ForgiveZharionno u dont
@ForgiveZharionWho asked?
Really liking the wider camera angles of the fights so you can appreciate some of the techniques being used
The choreography was great in this. Hayden embraced the mannerisms of Clone Wars Anakin in those scenes. This connects the two portrayals perfectly.
Are you shitting me? The lightsaber combat is absolute crap. They look so robotic and theirs no flow to it
I genuinely got goosebumps watching Anakin walk away and throughout all those explosions flashes of Vader then going back to Anakin. The torment is real.
Side note I want more Rex

When Ashoka chose to live and Anakin returned from the dark side the range of emotion on Hayden’s face was purely masterful
Ahsoka feels like what the sequels should’ve been. Why is Dave not running SW? He understands the character writing, acting, narrative, lore, and significance of dynamics better than any one else over at Disney
Agreed
Kathleen needs to get gone
Agreed and even if he makes decisions that people didn’t like he’s not going to go insulting the fans. His intentions are good.
The Hollywood machine wants certain agendas pushed, for whatever reason, not good story telling. Plain and simple.

I genuinely had shivers when Anakin was on screen. The whole time I was like a little kid again. The chosen one returns.
Same thing Luke said to him.
I somewhat agree, although Ahsoka said she wouldn’t “leave” Anakin/Vader, whereas Luke was the one who said he wouldn’t “fight” him.
He's a celestial now. A damn force entity. Nothing bigger than that
Dude is clearly on crack saying this absurd sh*t lol
It's too bad he had to die first to get there. But nobody's perfect! 😅
IT WAS AN AMAZING EPISODE
It was so exciting to see Anakin and Ahsoka during the Clone Wars in live action; Hayden gave a performance as charismatic as Anakin from the Clone Wars. I loved watching Ahsoka duel with Anakin in the World Between Worlds (the scene of Anakin transitioning between the light and dark sides was amazing), and Ahsoka's white outfit is really cool.
