Hello Folks! Just to follow-up, Yes, the great legendary coach Vince Lombardi is kin. He was my grandfather’s cousin. They grew up in Fordham, New York together. So what does that make him to me… a stranger. Pretty much too far up the family tree to count. I just started doing stand-up in DC a few years ago, so I’m destroying the great name with every set I bomb.
Hope you had (or have) a wonderful Christmas and keep up the great work. Love you all and appreciate the entertainment you give us each and every week!

The Office is one of the only shows not made for children that my 7 year old grandson and I both like. His favorite episode in the one where Michael and Dwight are arguing and Michael tells Dwight to hit him in the stomach. He laughs so hard at Michael's reaction after Dwight hits him that he makes me crack up too. It never gets old.

Using "Dressing up a cow" instead of "putting lipstick on a pig" is the perfect opener for an episode about "the office" lol

As a Type 1 diabetic it was enjoyable listening to Brian, Aaron and Ned talk about diabetes. I have never heard 3 people talk about a well known topic with less knowledge. Everyone that tuned in for that episode is now dumber for having heard that. With his diet, Ned is well on his way to earning type 2 diabetes. Keep the laughs coming!

My wife and I were dating in high school when The Office came out. We would watch every episode at the same time while we were on the phone with each other. I learned how to talk to flirt with her from from Jim flirting with Pam. A few years later, Jim and Pam got married on the show a few months after we got married in real life. When I heard it was going to be cancelled after season 9, I was devastated. It was a show that we shared a fondness for and had great memories over the years watching it together. My wife's response was different. She said, "It's about time. I don't really like it."
Thank God our marriage has more staying power than the show!
    I'll go proofread this now.

For clarification on the fitness orb popping by accident: the Office Ladies podcast explains that the orb was supposed to gradually deflate and Dwight would slowly sink to the ground. The prop master told them that the only way it would pop would be if John Krasinski hit it right on the seam, but that was nearly impossible to do. They had 14 orbs, and the first 13 takes went as planned, but the on the final take, John hit it right on the seam and it popped! They ended up loving the accidental pop more than the slowly deflating orb, so they put that in the episode instead.

Hello folks! Was recently asked the icebreaker question: “If you could eat dinner with any living person, who would it be?”… and I said Nate! I like to think of all the people who answer this question and picture eating at fancy restaurants with famous actors, singers, and athletes asking them about their keys to success and so on… meanwhile I’m having a blast eating a #5 meal with no pickles at McDonald’s and trying to bribe Nate into letting me watch the pilots from his shows that he’s gotta have copies of somewhere.

All this talk of time travel, but nobody considers that Burrito already _did_ travel back in time, and this is where he's chosen to stay. Doing stand-up at company Christmas parties, churches and county fairs, and doing guest appearances on the AaronLand Podcast.
The really crazy part is that baby. He grows up, travels back in time after hearing about his much fun his dad had doing comedy. Starts doing a few open mics. Befriends a comedian named Nate Bargatze. Co-hosts a podcast with him. Falls in love with a woman and gets married. They have a baby. That baby grows up hearing tales from his dad about the glory days of the comedy life. One day accidentally discovers time travel..

You would think as a Golden Globe Nominee, Nate could pull some strings and get John Krasinski, or at least Creed (who is the most underrated character of all time!) for this episode. And correction for Aaron the Gout Weber, you actually can find that scene on the internet, but should you? Well, maybe... Also in other news, I was in the grocery store this week and saw the Queen of England's face plastered all over the magazines near the checkout. It reminded me of the debate- Is Queen Elizabeth more famous than Oprah? Sources say yes.

Speaking of screen size, as it relates to generations, I can’t believe that as 80s kids we had a 20 inch TV in the living room, that was the main Family TV. Sometimes it was built into a credenza. Nowadays, a 20 inch TV is the second bathroom TV.

What I’ve noticed is as you get older (I’m Nate age) every generation seems to watch the shows they watched in there 20’s or maybe early 30’s the most. I noticed my the generation that grew up with westerns love them and I hate old westerns. I think it’s a comfort level and like Nate said you don’t have to follow these shows close cause you know them well

I say The Office is like a steak dinner and Michael Scott was the steak. If you take away the steak, mashed potatoes and green beans is all that's left on the plate. Season 8 & 9 is like you ordering a steak dinner, but the waiter comes with a plate with only mashed potatoes and green beans. And you say, "Hey! Where's my steak?!" And the waiter says, "Sorry, the steak didn't renew his contract."

Folks, while we do share the "same space" in the northern and southern hemispheres, there are still stars/constellations/galaxies that aren't visible at any time of the year. (Brain is correct). For instance, I'll never be able to see the Southern Cross (that's a constellation*) from my home in New England.
Also, the Coriolis effect has no impact on toilet drain direction.

Question for Nate, Aaron and my cousin, Barnaby…
Do any of you know a comedian whose style is similar to your own who has a bit that you wish you’d written for your own act?
If so, who is it and what is the bit?
Side note, we love the show. My wife and I are both teachers and the last couple of years have been especially tough for educators. Your podcast has been a huge lift in what can sometimes become an overwhelming week. We’ve seen you on the last 2 tours in Louisville and hope to see you again on “The Raincheck Tour” in Indiana or Kentucky.

According to the Office Ladies podcast, Angela Kinsley and Jenna Fischer, they had to change Michael Scott to be good at this job with better sales and people skills. The reason why is you don’t get fired as much for performance in UK. In US, you can’t be a bad manager. So they couldn’t make him unlikable all the time. That is why they worked in actual good sales techniques like the Client episode and the one with Danny Cordrey. Also they started the series with Michael making a sale for Jim.

When Jim pops Dwight’s fitness orb, he did pop it on purpose, but the accident was that he popped it on the seam of the orb. If he popped it anywhere else, which he did in the initial few takes, it would slowly deflate and Dwight would just slowly sink down. They decided to do one more take and Jim just so happened to hit the seam on accident, it popped unexpectedly, which is why you can see Jim break character and run off screen covering his mouth and laughing. It wasn’t scripted to pop like that but they liked it so much they used that scene in the actual episode.

On the topic of TV shows, my wife and I have been streaming seasons of Survivor. During an episode, a contestant had to read an advantage they had found in front of the entire tribe. That got me thinking about how funny it would be to hear Nate try to read that. Then I thought how hilarious it would be to have Nate, Aaron, Basket, and a whole cast of comedians on Survivor. Is that a possibility? Love the show, hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

IS NATE A SECRET MATHEMATICIAN? Nate makes the comment about how business people now talk to 5 times as many people as they did in the 60's, and then pulls out the analogy of how talking to 8 people in the 60s was like talking to 40 people now. 8x5 = 40. I know exactly how Biscuit felt on that plane. I started watching Logan on a flight specifically because I thought it would be edited. It was not. I frantically covered the unexpected nudity on the screen intentionally trying to make sure any spectators knew it was an accident. First I felt like an absolute pervert, but then I was so dramatic about getting rid of it that I felt like a psycho. My only recourse was to take a nap and wait until that sweet moment when I’d never see any of those people again.

Y'all talking about ya'll's southern accents makes me feel like I am not alone. I'm originally from Macon, GA and when I went to college in suburb of Atlanta everyone made fun of my accent. I now live in a different suburb of Atlanta and I still get made fun of for my accent. My wife is from North Georgia and she trained herself to loose her southern accent so that people wouldn't think she is stupid. Needless to say the Atlanta metro area has been taken over by yankees. I call it the Yankee bubble. Watch out because Nashville could soon be like Atlanta.

Seth rogan wasn’t famous yet he had some freaks and geeks but if you remember his first really big movie role was also the 40 year old virgin where he works at the tech store with Steve carrel

Going back and catching up on some episodes that i missed... @42:43 Aaron hits a walk off homer and "Honda Del Sol" & "Bates 2 the Future" don't hear him... 🤦‍♂️. Nate's somehow being even louder than the hat he's wearing and "Born to middle" is yapping about some new app he's developing that will allow people to compare different plane tickets based on what adult films each airline was offering. Not only does Aaron obstain from doing his best José Bautista impression, he also carries his bat with him while he trots the bases so the bat boy/girl can watch the fireworks... 🤫🎤⬇️

"i like the british office more than the american office" is the same as saying "i like nateland more than aaronland". aaronland put nateland on the map, no one heard of nateland before aaronland

They were lucky to get Steve Carell back at all for the series finale because they got rid of him. He didn’t move on. They actually got rid of him which was crazy so they’re lucky they got them back for that.

Unpopular opinion but Michael Scott was always my least favorite part of the show. The Jim-Dwight back and forth is what grabbed me from the jump and the last two seasons are probably my favorite. I enjoyed watching both Jim and Dwight grow and the characters that came from the reconfiguration are some of my favorite, like Robert California and Nate. Already anticipating no one having my back on this one.

I never watched”The Office” until recovering from surgery in 2019. I grew to like it, although they stole my “That’s what she said” line.
My favorite character is Stanley. You’ll understand when you get to be Blueberry Crépes’ age.
    Favorite episode:Fire Drill.
I like the way the show (The Office, obviously) shows the absurdity of prejudices & stereotypes.
PS. Blackstrap’s Sopranos story made me belly laugh.

I would be interested to hear the guys thoughts on Parks and Rec. I feel like that show should've sucked because it's just a redo of the The Office but it's great in my opinion.
