Hiroshima Okonomiyaki Deliciously Cooked Right In Front of Me! Must-Try in Hiroshima Japan

A great Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki and oysters cooked skillfully and deliciously as Teppanyaki at Rei-chan near Hiroshima station when traveling to Hiroshima Japan.
Hiroshima Okonimiyakiis a bit different from those in Osaka and other areas in Japan. it doesn't mix flours and vegetables together and uses additional ingredients such as noodles, bean sprouts and and is very popular around Hiroshima and there are lots of specialty restaurants.

I've several videos of Okonomiyaki being made and I truly enjoy watching them!! Both the Osaka and the Hiroshima Okonomiyaki look absolutely delicious 😋!! I had Okonomiyaki in Hiroshima this April. So delicious! It was cooked in front of me. They used Japanese herb shisu to get an unique flavor.

The first time I went to japan the hotel in Osaka had an Italian restaurant and a okonomiyaki place, I’d be damned if I went all the way to Japan to eat Italian food.

I recently learned about this dish. I wonder why there is no another layer of batter on the other side of this dish? Seems like cabbage is falling apart. I am going to try this dish out but likely the other style.

It's a savory pancake(or pizza) with lots of shredded cabbages and some proteins(pork, seafoods, etc) called Okonimiyaki in Japan. This type of Okonomiyaki in the short is popular around Hiroshima and looks closer to Crêpe It includes noodles and is covered by a fried egg in addition.
