    My chinese mother in a huge mall: „You want me to buy this coat for 120 RMB?! I will pay 50 or I will go away.“ *Seller pursues us through the whole shopping mall shouting: „50 is OK!“* My mother: „Alright then, we will take it for 30.“ We actually got it for 25 😂

    This is the most helpful video I've seen for how to travel around China for first time visitors. Thank you!

    I usually get around Europe with flixbus for 10-20 euros. I need transportation beetwen cities in that cheap level. But trains are 60-80 dollars expensive is there an alternative?

    Good information. I strongly agree to have our meal on local restaurant where locals are going. Avoid tourists spot as the meals can be 30 to 50% more expensive.

    Maybe Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing. Want to see xian and the Buddha too as well as some temples and the country landscape which should be possible since I’m taking the train around

      Oh yeah you will be able to get around easily using the speed trains. Try to get to Guilin and visit the rice terraces!

      Thanks for your feedback! We lived in China for two years and needed a VPN to contact family and continue working online so it was a big help but I appreciate not everyone may need one.

    After watching your video this lifelong world backpacker is turned OFF China. "Always a TRAVELLER, Never a TOURIST!"
    Government control and restrictions just as it used to be in communist Eastern Europe and still is in Cuba!😢

    when are chinese holidays ?

    • @CreativeTravelGuide
      @CreativeTravelGuide  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Chinese holidays run at different times of year - you have Chinese New Year that usually falls around the End of January, start of February. You then have a festival the start of April, Mid-Autumn festival at the end of September and then Golden Week (the busiest time for travel) at the start of October.

      As, with every country, rules are changing all the time. Unfortunately, right now, it is difficult to travel into China so check entry requirements before booking a trip.
