In all racing especially drifting, it's crucial to look where you want to go, not where you're heading. If you're drifting a turn and you're fixated on the inside wall, guess what? That's where you're going. Next time you drift a turn, try looking towards the middle/outside edge of the turn and see how much a difference it makes

VR is amazing not because you can move your head (which is good tho) but the big benefit out of it is you see in 3D, which gives a huge perspective, you realize how wide tracks are.
you actually still see in 2d, because if you see in 3 dimensions you would be able to see absolutely everything in a 3 dimensional world like this one. you only see height and width, depth is only determined by the eye thanks to size and lighting

VR drifting (and driving in general) is incredibly immersive. There's a reason Pro's practice in VR. If you get a car that's set up realistically, it's great practice. Hopping in a real car is much easier when you've warmed up in VR.
I bought Assetto back in 2014 when it came out, tried a wheel and never really liked it. It's impossible to use controller so I let it sit. End of 2021 comes and I got VR and a wheel set up I love. VR Drifting is great. I also use it in iRacing and it's so immersive. I'd like to get a direct drive wheel, but I may have to get a haptic system (motion rig) first. I've been practicing because of you :)

I'm not using the "lock to Horizon" check box in assetto, I've heard that detaches you from the car and makes motion sickness. Not sure if there's a similar setting in drive club? But yeah weird no motion sickness for me after an hour and a half playing, I just had really tired eyes afterwards, I think from the weight of the oculus resting around my eyes 👀 maybe I forgot to blink? 😂
You get used to it, some people never get motion sickness, i did and the first few weeks i was thinking on returning my headset, but after awhile you get used to it. Just dont push it too hard at first, start slowly, do 15 minute sesions then up the time a little bit.
