Just bought my 2025 Subaru Outback Touring XT a couple weeks ago and LOVING it. Embarrassed to say that I'm more excited to drive it than my 2012 BMW m3 red hard-top convertible with manual trans, mainly b/c the Outback is more relaxing, with more luxury features. Few issues - the auto-steering is late to turn. One should be starting to turn the wheels a little even before reaching the curve. So the car is along the outside of the curve which is not desirable. And as another TH-cam video mentioned, the touch screen is delayed in responding and still hard to see in direct sunlight, which is annoying. Stupid that you can fast forward or rewind on the steering wheel, but you can't pause except by reaching for the touch screen. That should be easy enough to include right between the FF and R. The mySubaru icon on the screen does not connect and it's a known glitch. In comparison with the 2016 Outback Limited that I traded in, the steering is more responsive and the suspension is a little stiffer. So I'm loving it so much, I'm wrapping it (in UPPF Satin blue/purple)!
@ I’m watching from Australia and am considering one to replace my 2021 Volkswagen Passat sedan, the specification seems identical to the Australian XT ( except for the steering wheel being on the other side of course) I found your video very informative. Thank you for your time putting it together
Never had or felt any issue with auto steering, rather it gets more reliable as you use it. And lane tracing only works when the lane marks are shown blue on gauge cluster. When they are white, car is not overriding anything until it thinks is necessary.
I have a 2024 touring xt and love it, but i agree with you that the lane keep assist is terrible. That and i wish i could sit a little higher up off the road.
wrt wandering....yup, the '23 and newer Outbacks got a revised Eyesight system and cameras, and the lane holding is different from the older models. My '21 Outback wandered vey little, the '24 wanders quite a bit, ping ponging from one side of the road to the other.

If you hold the steering wheel correctly, does it still give you warnings?
@@russellchristison8425 Sometimes, yes.

What happened with the infotainment screen and gauge cluster at 36:05? Seems like it went black for a moment.
traveled from dark to a brighter place, automatically switched from night mode to day mode
This might be the last year the Outback looks like a wagon. Subaru just “redesigned” it and they just massacred it along with the Forester.
The cargo cover stores in that slot above the spare when removed
8:58 It's does tell you to use unleaded fuel only
Subaru says regular unleaded not premium fuel.
I understand that, but it is better to use premium fuel in any engine that has a turbo. Especially engines that are prone to head gasket failure.

I prefer my Buick Regal TourX.
Very rare.
Outbacks are everywhere.
