Wow, i loved your explanation of raising your chin!! You dont want to go too far otherwise you end up looking down your nose, true?!
Thank you, i appreciate your channel so much, this precisely the information I need, i am re emerging after some severe social anxiety episodes.
I began communicating with people and leaving the house again only 2 weeks ago and for the first week, i kept stumbling over my words, stuttering and then getting embarrassed and the chain reaction that leads to me isolating had already begun, but i just kept trying again every day.
My point being, i began breaking my cage by commenting to creators that have divulged a golden nugget to me, and thus provided me with tool upon tool, until i filled my tool chest enough so that i had courage to break free.
It is a long and slow journey, i have unfortunately been here before, but not with a tool box like i do now.
So, thank you, from the bottom of my heart ❤️
Today has been a great day

Hi Kara, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for this information! English is my second language. Improving my pronunciation has been my number one goal since I moved to the English speaking country I call home. I appreciate the points about posture and imitating other great speakers - like you. Slowing down the speed and pausing are two techniques that have helped me a lot to be understood with my accent. Sometimes, I use a little humor when I do not know the right pronunciation. Luckily, my family has helped me to polish those words that are still hard to pronounce. Your videos are a treasure chest and the information points are jewels. Thank you!

Great tips, very informative! As an introverted person who is in a leadership role, and desires to have the impact and influence you speak of is gold. Thank you! With the knowledge, I feel I am 1/3 of the way there-the remaining 2/3, putting it into action is the biggest hurdle b/c this really is a lifestyle/mindset shift. It makes me anxious to think if I am doing everything right. I am committed to coming out of my shell.

    • @kararonin
      @kararonin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

If you're committed, and you put in the effort, you will be able to have impact and influence when you speak. Remember, it doesn't happen overnight or without any practice at all.

Hello Kara. You are a brilliant teacher. You deserve a pat on the back. Your video is helpful, it takes my English to the next level. I can't agree you more, we are on the same page. You were like my teacher long, long time ago. When I was a school boy in English college, my English teacher told me to use simple English in 1964. Simple English is good English. I am an authentic Chinese, my Chinese accent is not completely the best, but people get the idea. I speak English fluency with flow--short and simple, correct pronunciation and good grammar , word stress and sentence stress at a normal natural pace. How many people would know the meaning of good English ? I speak through observation, many Chinese are exaggerating, they are trying to show off, they are bragging about their English. May be they want to perfect their English at this point. Nobody is perfect, even the native English speaker can't speak perfect English. I was insulted by a small-minded Englishman, he said to me that you can't make the point, your English is rubbish in 2016. I wonder can he speak Chinese as good as I speak English ? Language is a tool to communicate with people, my goal is to be able to communicate as a speaker and as a silent listener. I learn a lot more from you in this video, if people watch this video and learn from it, they can do anything, they can be anybody in English. I am seventy-eight years old, I am still learning because my native language is Chinese, English is my second language. Learning never ends. I enjoy your video, I really appreciate it. You are doing great. Thanks so much. Have a great day. Bye for now, hope to see you soon in the next video.

Hello thank you for your great knowledge and content, I found them very valuable. Just friendly reminder, when you post the key notes on screen, would you please leave them longer. As it goes away too fast and leave no time for writing them down. Thank you!

Ma'am you're killing two birds with one stone you're attracting people by your charismatic way of speaking...Wow🥰
And second the music which you've put in your video is a great match of your rhythmic voice...Very soothing to ears same as your voice
    9) Study speakers you admire
Enthusiastically I wanna study my favorite speaker ( Kara Ronin)

Hi Kara, thank you for the videos. I am one of those who tend to panic and blank out completely when intimidated and pressured. i draft scripts and practice hours &days ahead if i know in advance the topic i am suppose to talk on. So i dont do well in meetings when asked on point about my thoughts. Do you have any tips on how to overcome the fight& flight response anxiety?

I definitely need to speak slower, the saving grace is I normally do not use filler words. Your tips are so practical and I am going to use these tools. Thank you so much for sharing!

Thank you genuinely for this and your other videos. Really helps. Just want to know one thing about your video editing. Noticed that you have edited out the pauses between two sentences. It's sometimes tiring to the listener too without these breathers.
