I already love this system. Wish there was this dolly without a kit and without a ridiculously high shipping price in Europe though. Could you show how it performs on extreme long focal lengths, for example if I wanted to use it on a concert? Also would be nice to make some automation system for continuos side to side slide
They will hit the middle support. But you can get it without wheels and have it long enough to pass by the middle support. If your rails are heavy enough, you wont need a middle support even at 10' with 30+ lbs. Rather than schedule 40 pipe, you can use schedule 80 which is much heavier and can support more of a load. But most people only use 4-5 feet of rail and that wont bend even with very heavy loads.
The full kit has a Mitchell mount or you could buy the dolly only for $299 and the Mitchell mount adapter separately but that would be $600 and you can get the entire kit for $800 without the $400 travel case. Or at least you could a few months ago. If you are on a budget, get the dolly for $299 with free shipping at b&h and get a mitchell mount adapter from Proaim for $68 and see our video for the $10 adapter plate and bolt them together. th-cam.com/video/mPsSApCIZQE/w-d-xo.html www.ebay.com/itm/124120999591
The spacers are 5.5 inches and the bolts are 6 inches. Get 6 5.5" sections of cheap 3/8 pipe and 6 bolts and save some cash. Plus, then, you can make them any length you want. The spacers are very nice just a lot to pay for them.
you killing me man 😆 very informative and entertaining 👏
Great, that is what I am going for.

Great review! Will the anti-tip wheels work with the middle support? Will it hit the middle support as you pass by?

Does this dolly work with a mitchell mount head?

What is the length of the underslung support?

The system never ships. You order it and 3 months go by with no updates, can't get a refund. BEWARE
