- Footage shows a giant swarm of thousands of bees hitching a ride inside a car in Huangshan, China.
The driver remained extremely calm, and can be heard saying “what luck”, referencing the fact that bees are considered a symbol of wealth and prosperity.
Swarms like this often happen when a queen honeybee leaves the hive to find a new home and thousands of other bees follow her.

I am a beekeeper myself and certainly can feel this man luck.
The reason those bees are very calm and are not aggressive at all is because a swarm of bees has no resources or anything to defend instead they are huddling around the queen bee to keep her in the dark.
He propably is a beekeeper too - he seems as comfortable as someone who knows bees all his life

Bees are not aggressive, if you leave them alone they will leave you alone. For bee keepers this is a blessing because they can have free honey
That’s only true sometimes in warm wethers like summer and autumn bees especially German yellow jackets tend to be very aggressive and may Sting you for a slight suspicion that you will hurt the colony

The reason why they are not attacking is because they are trying to build a hive after moving out of their old one and this is the bees most docile state they can be in

That is called a swarm, it is when bees leave a nest for what ever reason to find a new home. During swarms bees are typically very docile and you have to try and make them upset. He could reach up and grab a handful and let them crawl all over him and not get stung.

That’s a swarm. This is when bees are much less likely to sting. They have one thing in mind, find new digs and keep the queen covered and hidden from predators. They haven’t much to protect so they don’t usually sting here and you’ll see experienced beekeepers scoop them up bare handed(depending on the species). Africanized bees however will still give you them hands

Honey bees are domesticated. And I know that's obvious, but it's also so easy to forget. But what's even wilder is I'm pretty sure Black Soldier Flies were once quite domesticated as well, because their pro-human behavior blows me away every time. They watch you work your compost pile and UNDERSTAND what you are doing and are not afraid. They will let you work it and watch as they hover feeling safe around you. They watch and see how you water the litter and aerate it so they can swoop down immediately, sometimes even as you continue working the area nearby, because they trust you and know you have finished with that part. They lay their eggs where you they see you do a good job. It's not just some much later thing. They will watch you in REALTIME and immediately go to the choice parts based on what they see. They seem to "get" humans and the compost. This made me start paying more attention to the signs of domestication because I think we consistently underestimate its roots in human history and many species today we consider "wild" have actually been evolving with humans for a long time, though in some cases we forgot about that and some of them became feral again somewhat, but the signs of domestication remain.
Meanwhile, we sort of take for granted domestication in general, but it's a very crazy thing. The fact that the majority of the mammalian biomass on this planet (60%) are our domesticated mammals is mind-blowing, for example, and is a big part of Climate Destruction. But our minds downplay this fact.
