Work guy took me and i used my new Ruger LCP 9 mm. I got my C permit a couple years ago but haven't shot much. This winter ill hook up with the pro at the range since i haven't been there in a while.
@@BuzzRetirementGarage Thanks for watching . You would probably enjoy shooting a full size firearm . The LCP 9MM is a good carry gun . There are a lot of great compact and full size firearms for decent money now . It's such a great useful hobby . If you want my advice on any firearms . Definitely contact me 👍🇺🇸
@@BuzzRetirementGarage Lol . I'm mostly a handgun guy . I'm cross eye dominant so rifles are not my thing . But a full size semi automatic handgun . Is my favorite to shoot .
Always start by explainig all the rules of firearms but don't expect that they will be followed. Never hand a firearm to anyone. First, show them how you always check a firearm to see if it is loaded (magazine too) and then set it down, UNLOADED. Watch where they put their trigger finger when they pick up the unloaded firearm. Never allow them to pick up a LOADED firearm for the first time. Let them pick it up an unloaded firearm and, then show them how to load it. Never allow a first time shooter to load more than one round into any firearm or magazine. Let them, safely, shoot one round and then observe their reaction. You may see them keep their finger on the trigger or do a 180 with a big grin on their face while pointing the muzzle in an unsafe direction. Seen that happen too many times. EXPECT unsafe handling of firearms from any new shooter.
@@DRNewcomb Like my Father always said . Gass , common sense is not that common . Thank you for your nice comment and watching and commenting on my video 👍💥

@davegass1650 Asked the wife a walleye or Henry Big Boy over the fireplace and she said neither. I tried.

Definitely good points made 👍 . Thanks for watching 💥💥💥 .
Good video, Dave, but it's not "Common sense" until it is taught, learned and internalized.
