He (along with his two buddies) should not only be "suspended"... he should be expelled AND go to Prison for his crimes.

I am of a different opinion of this young man coming from affluence! It would appear he would get anything he wanted and never had to experience hardship.
His hockey seems to be natural gift where he didn’t have to work hard competing for position because of his Father’s position as General Manager. Wouldn’t any Coach want to have some sort relationship?
What is more frightened of you his young man and you made a comment regarding his remarks of being sorry for behavior is that I don’t believe he was or is .
In fact : watch that video again and concentrate on his expressions as he is toying with the wheel chair . I believe he may be a sycophant. He had no awareness of why that wheelchair was there or why it was there ! He didn’t do it make his friends laugh , he didnt do it because he like to see things crash. He had no expression on his face as he got up from sitting it and pushed it dwn the stairs .
What shocks me is that he couldn’t even be bothered to see it go all the way dwn the stairs He walks into the bar before it evens hits the bottom of the stairs . What ever curiosity or interest he took of that wheelchair was forgotten for the next amusement as he entered the bar.
This is a sign of a person who has never wanted for anything and never had to work hard for anything. He has no interest in anyone or anything other then his second to second thoughts!
This is why ( if there is a real human inside him ) he could be saved but this would require him to become aware of the hardships of others. Right now he is too far gone to do it himself. He would even know where to start .
This why it would have to placed upon him as a punishment. I believe a Judge should have recognized the plight of this young man by making him use a wheelchair for a period of time . Obviously fine some way that will confirm his use . Let him become aware the difficulties that others have for day to day living instead of his gift from God free movement of excellence in which he will be paid possibly loads of money.
He should also have to pay for the repair of the wheelchair and not be given the $ from his Dad but actually do a job to pay it back . I would suggest that he would also have to assist this positive and wonderful girl . Spending time with a person who has overcome real hardship and still maintains a positive attitude but that could bring on a resentment from this young man against her .
Anyway I hope his parents have taken time from their busy lives to watch this Visio to see what their career focus lives may have done to turn a nice boy into a sycophant

If you watch he positions the chair directly in front of the stairs and it’s like his buddy Briere was just finishing what he already started to do. It was a team effort IMO. Both should be punished.

I don’t think people realize the magnitude of that situation. She had to be carried to the bathroom for Christ’s sake. I’m willing to wager that was one of the most demoralizing moments in her life, it would be if it were me. I think it’s a safe assumption that the last time anyone needed a chaperone to take a shit, it was in elementary school. This isn’t just a “he broke her chair, just buy a new one” scenario, where everything is fixed with a simple purchase. If that kid just now got actual disciplinary action taken, he’s not going to learn any sort of lesson, and his former NHL daddy will just get him on another team. Nepotism wins the day again.
