That Old Testament Ignatius Study Bible... it's going to be worth the (continued, lol) wait! The NT and the individual OT volumes are already the gold standard, and I enjoy reading them cover to cover while referencing the Catechism. Thanks Dr. Hahn for all your work!

One thing I would like there to be is for someone to do Augustine's Confessions in fairly easy to read and study format. We've just sort of finished reading it in my Church History class and we all rather agree that it wasn't an easy read to get through and we were asked if we would recommend the book to someone else I said for one said "Yes, but I would also make sure they had the Cliffnotes with them."
Did you inherit other libraries? I remember my Philosophy professor had many thousands of books in his private library as he inherited two private libraries from two former professors of his in addition to his own collection.

Scott, I'd love to hear your pro's & con's of certain Protestant theologians as BB Warfield, Cornelius Van Til and especially RJ Rushdoony. I would assume from your theological foundation starting as a Presbyterian you'd have some very insightful comments. In fact, this might make an excellent book...especially when put into juxtaposition to essential Catholic theologians and their contributions. On another TH-cam video - Cross Purposes (2019 Defending the Faith conference), posted on 27 September 2019 - you said that the ICSB would be completed "next week" (i.e early October 2019). I assume that these two rather different completion dates refer to different stages in the writing and editing process. Can you tell us anything about how many stages remain and when the OT might be published? Many thanks in anticipation.
I heard a couple of the reason & theology guys say that they don't think that the full study Bible will ever come out. It seemed like they were serious (maybe they were joking). First, it’s a collection - a library - of books. Second, just a word of caution though, if you read it by itself and without reference to other writings that would put them into their proper context, well, most likely you’d ever so often have erroneous (and possibly even heretical) interpretations. Just look at Joel Osteen and the millions of his followers that constantly interpret the Scripture in the wrong way, deliberately or otherwise.

sometimes i take only this argument for believing in God..on one side you have people like this, read more than 40 000 books on theology and many other areas, wrote many books, believing in God full of joy based on reason, knowledge and experience....On the other side you have average guy raised on mtv and netflix saying all this God stuff is just nonsense....Who are you goin to trust? Guys like Scott or average "modern" type of people?
I doubt he has actually read all those 45,000 books, as in 'critically reading and thinking about it, studying it' which according to someone like Noam Chomsky is much more important then the speed with which you read. The problem with this 'argument from authority' is that there are experts in all sorts of fields, including among other things pseudo-sciences. There are probably guys you have read thousands of books on Islamic scripture, does that mean they are right about if Islam is the one true religion? Long story short, it's about how you think not what you think. If you study the irrelevant things, it's all in vain.

Some of my friends went to Jerusalem few years ago and they were told me.the some Jewish gave to them a paper saying prove Jesucristo is son of David with the Christian book.
Thomas Aquinas' _Summa_ has some good philosophical theology in it but there are also some errors in it. Aquinas, who could not read Greek, made some mistakes since he was reading the NT through the lens of St Augustine, who also never read the NT in Greek. "Doctor of the Church" does not mean that Aquinas got everything right, as I'm sure Scott Hahn himself would admit. I mean: can we really believe that the blessed in heaven will _delight_ to see the tortures of the damned? I doubt it.
Please do release as well a pocket edition of the RSV2CE, esp. considering that Pope Francis himself recommends it. Together with the OT Bible Study if possible :) Big thanks!
