    This was very entertaining. Raw, but not messy, and with not too many edits. This track seems just about perfect for a BRZ. I like how you touched the water and it clearly unsettled the car, only because it shows you are driving near the limit for the tires. Subscribed.

    I love this video format you have going on. I recently started tracking my GT-350 and got the bug hard. It's clear from watching this that you are FAST. Excellent lines, great balance on the wheel, controlling your understeer and being patient at the apex before adding power. I've actually been thinking about a GR86, or something with a B58 motor in it just to go full blown race car - slammed/caged/gutted/aero. The GT-350 is an absolute blast on track but the cost of consumables are astronomical. If you ever plan a trip down to Sebring or Daytona - let me know!

    Randomly stumbled across your videos and am enjoying them. I used to have a 17 BRZ and have a 23 BRZ on order. Never tracked my car before due to expense/risk/lack of tracks near me but it does look fun so maybe someday. I’ve owned faster more powerful cars, but imo nothing beats a perfectly balanced, sub 3000 lb car with 200-250hp. Enough to have fun, but you also have to work to maintain speed (which is part of the fun)

  • @thomasmcginnis3783
    @thomasmcginnis3783 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    POSSIBLE TIP: At the 00:22 point of your laps, the track fades left before a hard-ish right-hander. In that corner, your line eases left, _seemingly_ in prep for a right-hander about 10mph faster than you're going! If you were to cut right sooner -- loading the (left-side) suspension a tad sooner, you could (IMO) add throttle sooner and more, because the car would already be positioned to scrub some off, it you'd added too much. In the greater radius that your current route takes, by the time the suspension is that loaded (by the time the g-forces have pushed down to have the tires singing, you're already mostways through the corner, with a straightaway in front of you, finally hitting that +10mph. Does that make sense? I think you could hit your exit speed sooner, if you load the suspension earlier, with a cut to the right. Anyways, FUN VIDs!!!

    Learning all the apex's and knowing how hard you can push makes such a difference. Practice, practice. Nice driving. What's your alignment & suspension setup? Seems like you could tighten the suspension a little & maybe more -camber? If you're already at -2 or 2.5 you can't go more.

    I occasionally drive my wife's AE111 and have the same problem. It has a 10,000rpm 12.9:1 comp built engine, ap racing calipers, coilovers, light weight wheels, great tires, 6 speed lsd, carbon clutch, bracing etc weighing 1000kg. Its radical to drive and heaps of fun but the same problem with traffic and high powered cars slowing you up in the corners. My car is a bit more scary and on edge to drive and is only slightly faster on a lap. Good times

    Half a second can be yours if you take more of the apex curb turn one. Not sure if you want to bounce off the curbs in a street car though. It tends to be tough on the dampers. The lap you said too much curb is almost the right amount of curb. You can take more. very nice driving. You should move up to the advanced run group.

    Hey loved watching this with my morning coffee. So Im not qualified to coach anyone, but have been known to race some cars and think your on a very good learning curve. Just use a bit more of the track on entry in a few places and youll have your 119s. Also, think you need to be in a faster run group, if you could carry your speed thru several laps without all that dangerously slow traffic your there easily. Again, Im not trying to be anyone but it easy to see where you can improve as you do so many things correctly. Ps. nice calm hands as well.

    I did two or three events in my 240Z long time ago and I decided right away that I needed to Triple or quadruple a horsepower... a lot of your frustrations will go away. Put some 255 Square on there with a 200 tread wear or even 100 and it'll make it a whole lot more fun and buy them in the winter for the following summer. you can always find a deal over the winter. Just keep them in plastic bags and make sure they don't get below freezing.

      I'm honestly keeping it low power on purpose! I got the money to boost it, swap it, or even trade up for a faster car but I want to prove to people that power isn't everything (even tho is a very significant factor towards lap times lol)
