Why is the s2000 missing practically every apex? Dudes drive lines are awful. He's losing all momentum. Is it intentional? If not, terrrrrible driver in the s2k imo.

I’m no weekend racer or anything but I play an unhealthy amount of sim via assetto and FM7. Even with a faster car there isn’t much point in passing just because you can, if your going to get paced and you possess brain cells it’s usually best to let the other guy ahead and potentially make a mistake in order to pass again. He did just that because he was predictably stupid like most other gamers I play with. I know they don’t correlate in terms of physical feel and kinetic mechanical memory but track etiquette most certainly does

Just like driving a BRZ on the street where you assume every truck and SUV has no idea you are there … because they don’t. I’ve done a couple of track days and there is always at least one driver who drives like the guy in the Corvette, just take note and make allowances, they’ve paid there money and they mean no harm. Love seeing a young person get into a rage of entitlement, so funny.

I thought I was in the s2k for a moment and was waiting for the vtec to kick in😅

This totally reminds me of a track day at Shannonville many years ago. Some clown in a Corvette would blow by me on the straights, then I would totally reel him in on the next corner in my wifes stock Honda CRX. He never did come back for another lapping session.

Not really sure what's happening here. You can't pass people? Or only in certain spots? Something about points? Are higher horsepower cars not allowed to go fast on the straights? Is not the point of racing on the track to, uh, race? Drive the best line as fast as possible for the lowest lap time? This all seems weird. People aren't supposed to drive dangerously on roads and highways, but then they come to the track and get dumped on because they're inherently supposed to know all the ins and outs of track etiquette even if they never did it before? Are these track events supposed to be practice? If so, are mistakes not allowed? Is there a class or presentation covering track rules and etiquette before these folks race? How would a novice understand what to do during their first time at the track? I'm not defending either driver because I don't know what's happening. If the C8 is being a jerk, sure, punishment is warranted. But all this judgement from the BRZ and other apparent "pros" are just going to scare away newbies. Maybe that's the goal? I must be missing a lot, I guess. 🤷

Ultimately, if you let people ruin your day, it's on you. People like this exist. Once you know he exists, avoid contact with the person until you can figure out if they're ignorant or just an asshole. I think I'd figure out how to fall back a half lap before resuming. And then let the track officials deal with it afterward.

For 10k, I'd personally just get a built IAG block with a turbo kit instead of a kswap. Great driving as always. Can't beat a fun back and forth with a similar car.

If anything you the best driver than the guy in s2000 for sure. Your line and braking was 1 step ahead of him. Also you save him from his mistakes too. If that wasn’t a good driver I don’t know what else 😂

s2k driver's first time at this track?

So, unsure on the front end of the s2k, but has some angle which will cause the front end to lose more grip. Tires are definitely a thing you have going and looks like track knowledge does too. He seemed lost a few times but kudos on him for sending it and MAYOR KUDOS for you for doing very well with someone in front of you and braking where he did, rather when he did. Although, will say that having him behind you did affect how you drove a lil bit but it was still pretty tame. As for suspension, his suspension is by far better than yours. Same thought as “reputable company” works here too. You need a 9 lives wing

Very close, the brz for sure has better handling characteristics but the power difference is as clear as day. Are you still running the original motor?
