@@dadhats I mean on one hand the poor road quality is probably what makes it so cheap, but on the other hand you run the risk of just destroying your ride if you make the mistake of going to wide and hitting them potholes lol

A few sections were repaved and if I recall correctly, it was mostly paid for by Xtreme Xperience on the sections of the track that they use.

just an oil cooler! oc is def mandatory and from my experience no baffle is needed. only other issue I've run into were my coilpacks failing prematurely due to heat and that's a known issue on 13 and 14s

Never mind you addressed it at the end! I think you made a great decision. The rust on the frame doesn’t seem too bad imo. You should get a decent amount of years of service out of this.

I took a GoPro sticky mount to my forehead and used a j hook buckle mount to get the camera as close to my eyes as possible. you could check out bossboss racings visor clip for a more elegant solution too. dragy hasn't released their obd2 port reader yet so it won't work for my videos unfortunately! I still use it as a backup when needed tho

@@dadhats From watching your video, I think the advantages of the Touareg is the diesel engine for towing. I average 17-19MPG while towing my camaro in an open trailer at 70-75mph. Without the trailer I get 31 highway and 27 in the city average. The downside to the touareg compared to your car is that it does tend to sag a little in the rear with the trailer and the seats don't fold down flat(almost but not really). You have much more room in the inside and more comfort creatures. Touareg is more sporty and economical. Your car is more comfortable and bigger. My touareg doesnt have air suspension. But I got mine with 118k miles for $12k. It's been a great tow vehicle for almost 3 years now. I'm about to cross 160k miles.

My dad bought a 2012 Mercedes ML350 3.0 diesel with the intent to tow a small car with it but compared to the “full size” segment even with a 6500 lb rating it’s not great to tow with. I went with a Infiniti qx80 rated at 8500 lbs and with the touring package it has load leveling rear air bags.

I don't blame you at all, it's actually crazy how bad the rust gets on these!

I was heart broken, waited 2 years and was told the engine was good and obviously it wasn't... Been thinking of just swapping it, but that's a few more years of saving money while I pay for a vehicle I can't drive. ​@@dadhats
