I prefer the regular colours of the iPhone 15s to the Pros
After five years of Android, dealing with the heat, bugs of Pixel 7 Pro and slow shutter speeds of the S21, S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra, bought the 15 Pro Max when TMobile offered me $1000 trade in value. Samsung bloatware and empty promises about fixing photo blur pretty much pushed me to buy the Iphone.
When Samsung introduces zero lag shutter or Pixel heat and bugs are fixed, then I will be back to Android.
The last 2 glitchy years with my pixel 6 pro finally pushed me over the edge to try the iphone 15 pro. along with it finally getting usb-c. Maybe Google will figure out all the pixel issues one of these days.

If u have a iphone 11 and want to upgrade and want to take on the debt then do it .. its a brighter phone , the dynamic island is cool , magsafe is cool, it has usb c and trading in ur old iphone. I traded my iphone 11 for $200 and a iphone 13 goes for $300 to trade in... so the unlocked iphone 15 is $829 + $73 for shipping so ur paying $902 for the basic iphone 15 - 200 trade in ... so $702 and that about $58 a month if credited
The 15 has a new 48MP camera, not the one from the 14 Pro: smaller sensor, but greater aperture, ƒ/1.6 instead of ƒ/1.78.
The 15 Pro actually has the exact same camera as the 14 Pro. Except for the 5x on the Pro Max of course.

but the 14 pro can't take 24mp shots but all the 15s can. Which proves if Apple wanted, they could have given 24mp to the 14 pros with a software update, but didn't so that people would buy the "newer" phone.
They will be introducing fast charging adapters later or in the new series that will be compatible I assume?

I'd get the regular 15 or the 14 pro as the 15 pro isn't as durable as the 14 pro after seeing the drop test between the two where the 14 pro completely dominated the 15 pro because of those rounded edges can't withstand drops like the 14pro

I’m surprised there isn’t a (product)RED version of the 15. How long has it been that a new iPhone hasn’t had a red version? I think iPhone 7, 8, Xr, 11, SE, 12, 13, 14 all had red variants, which would make this the first year since 2016 there isn’t a new red model. Maybe they’re saving it for the February(?) extra colour addition. I hope so at least, I’d consider replacing my red 13 Mini if so.

Here’s an interesting question: do you guys think that the adoption of USB-C combined with the other new features in the iPhone 15 will increase Apple’s market share, and if so, will this increase adequately offset the foregone revenue from seller’s fees that they were earning from the marketplace of lightning accessories?

Plus the photo storage doesn't mean anything to me. I put it on an external SSD anyways, and airdropping to my MacBook would be much easier.

i dont get the wow factor about the new portrait mode. i feel like google pixel already does it. am i wrong? because i have adjusted the blur/focus when the photo isnt in portrait.
Exactly my thought. Pixel has this feature already. But I read somewhere that Pixel uses computational photography to achieve the blur while Apple does it thru it's hardware which captures the depth information when the photo is clicked. I'm not sure though

I am surprised at the way you guys talked about AirPods wired charging with iPhones.
Did you know that you can charge a USB device using practically any mid-to-higher end android phone for more than a decade now!? Android had 'USB host' support even in android 2.1 if i remember correctly. I'm sure it was there even in the first version of android. Even modern lightning iPhones have the feature. It is just that, nobody has Frankensteined a Lightning to Lightning cable yet. Or did any?

The regular iPhone 15 and 15 plus are not getting the same sensor as the iPhone 14pro. This has been misreported by many well established tech reporters. Apple was extremely misleading this year in how they described the camera upgrade to the iPhone 15. The sensor is likely even smaller than that in the pixel 7. The main camera on the 15 pro and pro max appears to use the same sensor as the 14 pro.
It is a lot smaller than Pixel 7 regular, the sensor of Pixel 7 is just shy smaller than 14&15 Pro's sensor. Sensor in regular 15 is only slightly larger than ones on 14 and Pixel 7a.

Will casual camera users really care about small aperture differences, etc? Pro photographers are using professional equipment. The growing number of drop tests might reveal a more important factor in which phone to keep or switch to...or not switch. Not that you're going to dropping your phone from the heights being tested, but it can't be ignored either. If the 15 design flaw is the culprit, it makes "titanium" the most irrelevant change Apple has ever made to a product.
The iPhone with USB C ports is seriously the most amazing change ever! Like, seriously, it's about time this happened. I mean, I can't even begin to express how tempted I am to upgrade to the 15. But you know what? After giving it some thought, I don't really think it's worth it to upgrade from the 13PM. Hear me out, though. I feel like if people just replace their battery every few years, they can totally keep their phones for, like, 3-6 years without any issues. And guess what? Apple iOS updates still support the xs! So, like, totally worth holding onto your iPhones, right?

I love these little things Apple has like the 24MP photo which combines the detail of 48MP and the Dynamic Range of 12 MP
And all of those things for Reverse Wired Charge where they will talk to each other and figure out which one will charge the other, it's amazing!
