This is it. The FINAL BOSS. The last language on Duolingo. 36 different languages have been conquered at the speed of light, and now it'll be 37. I expect Hebrew to be a worthy opponent for this challenge, but my questline through Yiddish and Arabic might be enough to help me push through. Will this be the epic final battle we all crave for? Or will it be a walk through the park. Only God knows the answer....

Gotta say, for the first time Hebrew learning your pronunciation is pretty on point! Also i almost died laughing on "the sticks" and the big confusion around the ּב and the ב. Usually you learn vowels (nikud, which comes in lines and dots) first before you learn to read the words, and here they just didn't use vowels at all... So, did really well for someone learning Hebrew by starting in the middle of it😅
next season: 100% every language
As a hebrew speaker I have to say your pronunciation is top notch
Thanks! Vowels sound quite a bit like the Spanish a e i o u, so that might help
@@jccbm אתה בטוח?

Fun fact, the child of the leading linguists who worked on reviving hebrew was it's first native speaker
First Native of modern Hebrew, Hebrew has always been with the Jewish people but modern Hebrew is different
Yeah, I think everyone in Israel knows this. A guy called Eliezer revived Hebrew almost single-handedly and he taught his son Hebrew only so that he will... have no friends in kindergarten...
Fun fact
Orange (תפוז tapuz)
and apple (tapuach תפוח)
are so similar cause orange is an abbreviation of gloden apple (tapuach zahav)
The reason they are pronounced differently (ua instead of u) is because the letter ח has a rule that if it's at the end of a word instead of being pronounced ch it is pronounced ach
Growing up Jewish we always learn the phrase who is he and he is she first after the letters though LOL (הוא is he and היא is she!) But we also learned Hebrew with nekudot first which is essentially the vowels of Hebrew so stuff like ב (Vet or Bet/ Vais or Bais) is easier to understand because the B sound has a • in the middle and the V sound does not but it also gets far more complicated when you run into invisible letters!
LOL! Well, it's an intuitive and easy-to-remember trick for an English speaker, it just came naturally 🤣
Yeah, this is why you learn Hebrew in stages. You start with learning the "crutches", the nikud, and then learn to read with those crutches and then, with time, you upgrade to magically recognise the words vowel sounds without the crutches! Its so simple! (Not)
@05bastille right! LOL I had mandatory Hebrew classes in school for 12 years ( half my middle and high school classes were all in Hebrew) but my brain could never get past reading properly without nekudot and I cannot Translate much past the basics. Based on the school and education I went to, I have about a second graders understanding of Hebrew, but all of my friends that I grew up with know it as well as they do English! Ironically enough, though, I was a Hebrew teacher for a reform Sunday School (taught basics to k-3rd) for a bit
I always learned that אני (Ani) is מי (Me) which is הוא (who) which is היא (he) which is she
The editing just gets better everytime, keep it up.
I'm glad you think so! Hopefully it will keep on going
Now that you have done all the duolingo languages I came across something that might interest you. Clongcraft is a minecraft server made by language/conlang nerds where they try to naturally develop a language in minecraft starting from just grunting at eachother with it eventually spinning off into dialects and child languages. With bans on creating educational material for the language outside of the game (until the end of the 'season' where they start a new language) or speaking any real languages inside the game. Would be interesting to see you hop on there and try to learn the language like they are some sort of uncontacted tribe.
Your hebrew accent is surprisingly very good 👌
Sounds native sometimes
As an hebrew native speaker I'm very impressed by your ability to understand and manage to continue forward learning this language on duolingo, it's veryyy heard because the practice bearly include the vowels which made me think it's impossible to learnt he language that way but you did it!! And when speaking you sound very clearly and I completly understand your hebrew 🤩
still waiting for you to speed run English..
only joking you are such an inspiration :)
Hahaha
I respect you for speed running all of these languages, especially Hebrew
I tried to do Duolingo Hebrew and I couldn't make it through because there’s no audio for more than half of the course lol
It's a bit of a hassle, but I think doing it in a "speedrunny" way kinda helped since, in the end, figuring things out on the go is part of the game
Psyduck needs HUGS
I speak Hebrew as a native language and the course is confusing for me too
Yep ב can be a b or a v depending on the dot in the middle OY VEY! 😂
I can tell where this will be placed on the tier list lol
😅
whoever does the editing on these absolutely nails it every time!!
That would be me, lol. So thanks 👍 glad you enjoy it!

your hebrew accent is identical to the israeli hebrew accent. this is impressive (im a native hebrew speaker btw)
the ш in the Cyrillic alphabet comes from the Hebrew ש
Never thought of it, but makes sense!
i heard about that, same withe english W.
something like the latin, greek, and sumerian alphabets come in here somewhere.
No it comes from Phoenician
@@elali64 russian cyrillic was a gift from greece, who stole a lot of from hebrew and pheonecian. hebrew stole from some arabic stuff and a lot of phoenician.
kinda right and kinda wrong.
@@yoursleepparalysisdemon1828only modern Hebrew stole from Arabic. Ancient Hebrew came before Arabic.
And no, Greek “stole” its alphabet from Phoenician not Hebrew
I am a native Hebrew speaker who doesn't live in Israel. I tried teaching my friends pronounciation and it was impossiblr, and here you are, absolutely easing your way through it, great work, great accent
He nailed the ר!!
Hebrew will be three videos for sure
Maybe
ZULUS OFFICIALLY OUTT!!
AND THEY HAVE MORE LANGUAGES COMING TOO

as a native hebrew speaker its looks alot harder after this video😅😅
I don't know how I missed it but you nailed it! Thanks again for editing. I wish I saw your approach to study languages earlier. Special thanks for starwars, lotr, potter and other iconic cimema in memes
Hungarian is 4 hours? wao. As a hungarian, Im impressed you even finished it. I watched all your video about it and it was very fun. You pronounce is really good tho. Cheers mate
Holy shit that intro was amazing 😂
Thanks! I put my heart into it hehehe
Some phrases sound like "They're taking the hobbits to Isengard".
I got an Arabic ad for Duolingo on this video

Wow! Your accent sounds like a native!
15:52 תפוז and תפוח are similer cuz תפוז come from תפוח מוזהב (golden apple)
I also learned that "potato" is "תפוח אדמה" (ground apple), as in french or dutch!
תפוח *זהב*, not „מוזהב” (That's why it's TapuZZZ and not 'tapuM')
That was niceee
Great pronounciation dude
How do you have old layout? (Chapters instead of levels)
the letters can be learnt way easier. it's just duolingo that makes it hard. when you start hebrew books and exercises have markings under and/or over the letters that indicate which vowel goes there or which type of the consonant it is. i don't understand how duolingo overlooked it. learning the letters literally took me one lesson in school. hebrew is also one of the easiest languages. the grammar is very primitive.
Some words further on in the video had the markers, so maybe they keep appearing when you advance
This is all true, the issue is, Duolingo is trying to teach you to speak/read/write the language as a native, and vowels (נקודות) are widely ignored in Israel. They are helpful when learning, but eventually, the language requires you to be able to figure it out. I think that’s why Duolingo usually avoids them, though that is just speculation.
Finally!
As a jew who grew up with family members speaking hebrew, I'm really excited to check this vid >:)
What do you think of the path update?
I kinda like it actually. But it's waaay more spread apart, so I can no longer speedrun hundreds of words in a couple hours :(
They make flavors of monster that don't taste like shit nowadays just fyi
I like the classic more than most others, though
Hungarian:4 hours😂😂

16:01 ok for not israelis i will explain what happened here. u accidentally did a very impressive impression of a very famous and nostalgic channel called טופ גיק (top geek) and when I heard it I was on the ground laughing fr
Well that's a very funny coincidence, thanks for sharing!
Great video!
סרטון נהדר!
As a native Hebrew speaker this is such a weird video for me because seeing someone struggle to pronounce is kinda funny. nevertheless, good video but about the dots aka nikud, although no native Hebrew speaker uses them, they are quite important. Because letters can sound the same like ח and כ in the words
אוכל - eats
חתול - cat
They have the same sound but sometimes they don't sound the same. For example:
כתב - wrote
חזיר - pig
They sound different so thus you kinda need nikud as a beginner. As you advance you need to get rid of it.
Never saw your content before the yiddish and now the Hebrew. Btw yiddish is not very similar to Hebrew.
I wrote too much. Good video 😅
lol, this makes me wonder how speedrunning Ladino would go if Duolingo had a course for it
Di you know that in Hebrew she is he and he is who and who is me. no joke
