Thank you all for your support and encouragement after this video. It really helped me rediscover my enthusiasm for sim racing, and made me eager to practice and improve. The early signs are good, and I was far more competitive at Barcelona this week. You can see how I got on here: th-cam.com/video/CxTuRJK5AeU/w-d-xo.html
Quick update! I had a really nice message from the McLaren driver this afternoon. He was sincerely sorry for his behaviour, said he was having a really bad day and let his frustrations get the better of him. He’s also reached out to apologise to the Lexus driver too. I always respect anyone who has the honesty to hold their hands up, admit they’re wrong and apologise. I think a ban is the only proper punishment you can give - you’ve gotta do the time for this type of behaviour. But it was also really lovely to receive that message, and hopefully evidence that people are willing to learn from their mistakes ❤️
@@paoloambrosio You’re a tough man, Paolo! Haha. Absolutely agree that a ban is deserved. But I’m encouraged that remorse is shown… the first big step to hopefully learning from your mistakes 😃
@@chrisrogerssimracing He's crashed into him 3 times on purpose. This sort of behaviour is not welcome on LFM regardless of whatever explanation he comes up with.
@@erelster I’m hopeful that, by seeing his actions replayed on screen, it hit home just how bad they are. Rather than doing it and forgetting about it straight after, which is probably what usually happens when stuff like this goes on. All we can hope is the apology is sincere and he truly learns from it 🤞 It really put me off racing in LFM again, but the support and cool comments from so many drivers on this video has persuaded me to keep going with it 😃
13:30 that's the max verstappen signature move... Great to see etiquette still exists somewhere in the sport. Love the content btw and commentary is top notch! 👍
Ahh thanks man, appreciate that. Yeah my conscience wouldn’t have let me continue in front of that guy, it was my mistake that forced him wide so it was the only decent thing to do. He was faster than me too, so he was bound to get past me anyway 🤣 cheers for watching
Yeah it was really disappointing. I guess it is the rookie series… it maybe worth persevering with it to get out of the rookies, in the hope there will be less of this behaviour in the main series? Even so, I’m not sure if I want to! It’s such a shame, I keep trying to like ACC but things like this always end up happening!
Sadly There's ppl like this in sim racing... in lfm though they will be banned for any revenge attacks.. most races in rookies and non are very clean and competitive. Don't let 1 race make your decision...
@@penguin8711 Thanks Matt, yeah I kinda guessed I was just really unlucky with the grid I landed on. I’ll definitely give it another chance, maybe try the GT4 rookies next time. Thanks for watching 😃
I gotta say, this was both entertaining and educational for me. I'm currently on a 3Mb connection and due to lag, I don't race online because I have more respect for others. I will join practice sessions in small lobbies with decent ping but try to stay away from others. However, fiber optic is being placed in my neighborhood, so I will be joining some races soon. I was wondering what LFM was like, and this shows me what to expect once I inevitably join. Looks like I'm probably gonna have to find a league to join also. Thank you, Chris, I also enjoyed the enthusiastic commentary and replays. Well done!
Hey, really glad you found it helpful as well as entertaining. I hope it won’t put you off from giving LFM a try - I suspect I may just have got really unlucky with the grid I ended up on. This was just one race, so I will certainly give it another chance… maybe in the GT4. Great that new fibre will open up your racing options though. Keep in touch and, if you’re looking for fun and fair community races, you’re welcome to check out our SCB community. There’s a Discord invite in every video description 👍
Thanks for the video Chris! And more luck to you next time! I too tried LFM some month ago and struggled hard. Absolutely not my pace. I think I only got the licence at all because it had to be earned on Zandvoort, one of my most driven tracks in ACC. But afterwards I was shocked of the pace of the other drivers even in rookie races. Luckily my races where much more harmless. Recently I read on discord just out of curiosity some LFM report results. LFM really dislikes the behaviour of intentional punts. You get bans for much less. Hopefully the Lexus driver reported the horrible guy! You cannot wait and punt multiple times and say afterwards you had a bad day! That does simply not suffice in my opinion.
Thanks Joe, I think it will be a long long time before I can find the speed that these guys have. They are all so fast in ACC! I felt like I was absolutely smashing my qualifying laps, and then ended up in 21st! I’m pretty sure I’ve just had really bad luck with the grids I’ve joined. I might give the GT4 a try and see how that treats me.
Hey Joe.. its just about practice time. I was in your shoes last year but kept with it, now regular lfm bronze/ silver driver. My results depend on track though... yes it is competitive which is great but frustrating at time.. stick with it and you'll get there.
@@chrisrogerssimracing Even mid tier racers are fast. I was in split 3 of 5, dead center in an IMOLA race. A 1:42.6 put me 5th out of 29, yet 1st through 15th was 1:42.2 to 1:43.2, literally 15 guys within 1 second. However, once you are out of rookies, high volume times can have up to 7 splits I've seen, meaning you'd likely be put in a split where the racing is much closer. A lot of really fast, but dangerous drivers in rookie races. Just get your 10 done and keep your SR over 4.
@@Kaylos29 The standard here is seriously impressive. You’re right, reckon I’ll feel,a bit more comfortable once my rating evens itself out and I can get placed in a lower split. Might not be seeing the 1500 rating again for a while 😂
Great video Chris. Some disgraceful behaviour on display - I'm not sure what the point of an organisation like LFM is if they don't take some action, we all make mistakes (some more than others) but deliberate griefing like that has no place whatsoever. I enjoyed watching your drive, I am familiar with the perspective from the back of the grid, good to set yourself small goals and drive your own race. And I thought exceptionally honourable of you to let that guy go back past - we can all learn from that.
Thanks man, yeah it was a bit disappointing. I guess I shouldn’t get so annoyed about it as it didn’t involve or affect my race. But when you keep seeing it right in front of you, it proper winds me up 🤣
Happened the same for me in the first two races. In the first one I was even starting from 5th, and was thrown into the wall in first lap. They all say that we need to get out rookies for better races !
@@AndreMiguelLopes69 well i am not sure. i am a rookie, I couldn't even meet the LFM qualifying criteria (105% race pace for 7 laps), but I would never behave like that on track.
@@noobdaddyraces As a side note, bad drivers for me are those that could even be quick, but don't have any sort of racecraft. They use the game not as a sim but as an arcade game. Also I got my licence with 0,150 sec. from the limit. If you're not to far, just keep on trying !
Another good video Chris, too bad for that last lap but it happens I Know very well!! As far as that driver, yes he should be reported and LFM should ban him,,, no if-ands-or buts!! Thanks again for sharing with us!!
Thanks Walt, yeah I’m sure that if I fiddled with the setup a bit, there will be a way to make the car smoother and take those kerbs a bit easier. But boy is ACC tough!
everytime i watch your videos you get me pumped up to do some sim racing - I then load one and ALT F4 in 5 mins. I wish I could find my passion again (PS pls start a wreckfest league) ;)
i raced alot in lfm and am still in rookie even though i drive safe there are just too many people trying to keep positions while doin mistakes and this guy, the mclaren should DEFINITLY be banned bc that is inapropiate behaviour .... we need alot more ppl like you who maybe arent fast but drive with brain and respectful to answer question from you a setup sure lets u drive more comfortable and safer at some point but u only gain if u train hard enough maybe half a sec bc first u need to know the track and the racing line to gain time anyway i didnt gain any SR rating points my last races despite having from results gaining sr so i dunno if there is a failure in the database but ye i gave up lfm but do keep up the good racing :)
As usual Chris, you are a gent and race fair, giving that position back being the testament to this. With reference to that rage-fuelled driver senna pod (was that his name?), a truly disgusting showcase of just how immature some members of the community can be. Taking away their privileges of joining 'any' server again would be the only option going forward if it was left to me.
Ahh thank you, yes I’d feel far too guilty just to carry on like nothing happened, as I was way out of control trying to hold that tight line. Really frustrating to see that type of behaviour on show yet again… seems like I’m just being unlucky with the grids I land on lately 🤞
Aye that’s outrageous - haven’t seen anything as pre-meditated or insistent as that in two years of racing. Lost the plot and definitely needs reporting. Great video as ever lad - from memory kerbs in ACC often = ☠️
As horrifically bad as it was, I had to chuckle (in an exasperated way) when the poor Lexus limped back for repairs and emerged from the pits RIGHT IN FRONT of the same guy. I mean, it couldn’t have been worse timing if he tried! 🤣 Seriously though, it’s not good at all. I really hope I don’t see any more of this, mainly because I’m getting fed up of creative negative video titles! I need a few classics!
You really have to have the right damper and suspension set-up for kerbs. Which either means learning a lot of set-up on your own and muddling through MoTeC to try to get dampers right, or paying for set-ups from someone good at them.
@@chrisrogerssimracing Not necessary to give up that one, in my opinion. You didn't touch him, and he had enough space. He went off on his own, by outbraking himself even more than what you did.
@@christiangrotte Ahh thanks Christian. At the time, I was 100% convinced that I’d forced him out, which is why I made the call to let him by. But yeah, when I checked the replays, it did look like his momentum might have carried him out wide anyway.
Hey hey! Wow, that’s some crazy driving. I think some people forget about their actions, and that replays exist to name and shame 🤣 Super enjoyable watch as always, keep it going 👍🏻🏁
Hello mate, long time no see 😃 haha yeah I hate to single drivers out for criticism, but that was pretty poor. Who knows, maybe he was just having a bad day and acted out of character.
IMO, the racing is LFM is clean and respectful. LFM is humbling though, and it is hard to not get discouraged by my pace. I try to remind myself that the barrier to entry is high, and therefore all the drives are pretty much solid.
@@andyking05 If reported this will be a permanent ban for the driver doing this kind of thing. LFM simply does NOT tolerate it. But someone needs to report it. With regards to finding good competition I would just get the LFM license and work my way out of Rookie ASAP. Then start driving. Keep it safe and the pace will come. :)
Not any better than an open lobby it seems. Too many people with way more speed than racecraft. Great job as always with the presentation and commentary. I could watch paint dry to your commentary, it's just that good. 😁 Ferrari is my main car in ACC. Curbs can be a pain and take more practice than most other cars. Next time your practicing, try lowering the brake bias 2-3 tics, and learning to abuse the trail braking in this car. You can carry a bit more speed into the corners and still get the car turned in and get a fast exit. I can't think of another sim I could do this and not end out in the shadow realm. This car loves to dive into turns.
Thank you Sara 😃 Yeah I picked the Ferrari, purely because I’d owned the same car in iRacing so stuck to what I was familiar with. When I did an Endurance race earlier in the year, I drove it in a team that had a custom setup, and found it much easier-going on the kerbs. I felt far safer in it than I do now on default setup! So yeah, some more practice is definitely needed.
Like many others, I thought (looking from the outside) that LFM racers didn't behave like that. I've been struggling to qualify for the LFM license; now maybe I won't bother. Otherwise, yet another great video Chris and I admire your optimism even when you are so far off the pace (as I would have been, too).
Yeah it’s scary how quick these guys are! I felt like my lap times were on fire, and then I saw everyone else go 2-4 seconds quicker! Think setups play a more important role in this sim, so maybe I need to look at that.
Rookie races are bad. The guys are really fast and dangerous drivers. Best bet with LFM is to get through the 1st ten races as safely as possible. As long as your SR is at least 4.0, that gets you out. You can then do the iron races where it doesn't matter what your ELO is. The regular non-rookie LFM races are not perfect, and can get quite testy, but they are lightyears better than rookie. Also, when there are many splits, you are more likely to get much closer racing, which does come with it's own issues. When 20+racers go around the track in a massive pack, even one mistake can cost tons of places.
@@chrisrogerssimracing I've been known to a bit too brutally honest because I'm extremely critical in nature, but it means my compliments are from the same place. I don't like to fluff people's feathers for the fuck of it, it's inscencire and scummy but I mean it when I say you have a gift. You remind me of alot of Murray Walker. :) would love to have you over in our league, Octane Online Racing! They are EXTREMELY serious, safety cars, live stewarding, ect ect come join us we would be so lucky! Regardless the route you go, you really should consider looking into being a professional racing commentator
That's an insta-ban, no question. Fine, he apologized........But honestly, if your first reaction to having a bad day isn't logging-off, but deliberately ramming another player, then you have anger-management issues. Oh and a PSA: Yamac isn't pronounced "jamak". That little squiggle below the C makes an Englih CH-sound like 'CHurch' or 'CHatter' I knew you wanted to know that. :D
Carefull. I got banned for making a video like this after someone intentionally punted me and LFM didn't want to discuss it. Seem like they let bigger channels off though. Nice one dude👍🏼✌🏼
Yeah, I didn’t mean for it to be a dig at LFM and I really hate to call drivers out for mistakes too. But when you’re doing a race video and this type of thing happens right in front of you, you’ve gotta say something. I’m sure I was just unlucky and that it’s not the normal thing that happens!
If they guy he rammed protests then he'll without question be banned. Its a case of can he be bothered submitting a protest (i think he should). I have found LFM to be great and would suggest this is an isolated incident, ive never come across this. Most of the time I have found racers with message you and apologise for any errors during a race (I have done so if i take somone out due to lack of talent). I came over from raceroom and I took a lot of getting used to the new physics but I reckon worth the pain. I hope you stick with LFM for a while to prove me right! Maybe see you on track🙂
Yeah I think maybe I was just unlucky. And it’s not like I was taken out or anything, just frustrating to see it happen in front of you. A few more races and I’ll graduate out of rookies, so maybe that will help get some better racing too. I really want to enjoy ACC, but I just seem to keep getting bad luck with the races I land in!
@@Kaylos29 yes agree, it used to be my only sim and I loved it but they messed it up a year or so ago. Should have left it as it was with fewer categories.
it's why I stick with the ai, they give me a more consistent and realistic race. too many people treating what should be a simulation into an arcade game......that being said, still enjoy seeing you stick it out. it gives me a glimpse into what type of racing is happening in multiplayer. keep up the good work!
Yeah, I think I may have to give AI racing a try, and see if I can enjoy ACC more that way. I always go straight for online for the competition, but when drivers are like this, you’re right, it just feels like an arcade smash ‘em up!
If you ended up enjoying playing with the AI, please make a video of that as well. Very curious to see how they would perform, maybe even on the same track as it was in this video.
@@chrisrogerssimracingnot as much drama in single player!!!! I tune in to watch the mayhem! Plus to see you win.......of course. lol. and the fabulous commentary!
Chris you could submit the report to save all from this behavior. It was reaction from the failed Lexus attempt to get through the Macca on the inside. Submit it please. I'm guessing but of course could be wrong in saying you are using the setup preset. Some familiar understeer and snapping when unstable. Ban is the ideal way. I've got myself up to 45mins Sprint level and I'm staying with the clean crowd.
Yeah I did look at the report function on LFM’s website but it says only to protest if you were directly affected by the actions. So, as I wasn’t taken out, I thought I better not report it. But maybe the guy in the Lexus will. You’re absolutely right about the setup… straight-up default. I drove a custom setup Ferrari in the Endurance race I did earlier this year, and was a bit more competitive in that. So I definitely think setups will help me get better!
It's irritating for sure. I've got to admit I've lost it with drivers in the past but it had to be something seriously egregious. This, however, was nothing. It was just elbows out driving , so this driver has a particularly short fuse. Maybe it was Momoz ACC cousin? As for the pace, your time's similar to mine. I really struggle for times. For instance, at Monza I'm getting a 1:53 when others are driving sub-1:50. I've been studying Dave Cameron's videos and two things I've noticed ... how much smoother he is with his braking, gear changes and inputs, and how much earlier he hits the accelerator coming out of corners. Getting my new Thrustmaster TLCM pedals in a week or so, so hopefully that'll help as well.
Yeah, I guess we can never tell what sort of a day he was having. Might have had a rough day and acted out of character. The pace these guys run on ACC is seriously good. It’s such a specialist sim, I’m guessing some tweaks of the setup help too… not necessarily directly with speed, but just making the car feel more stable which, in turn, makes you smoother and faster. I’m just jumping in with default setups at the moment. Ahhh man you’ll love the TLCMs, I upgraded to them from my Logitech G920 pedals a few months ago and it makes a huge difference!
@@chrisrogerssimracing Here's hoping. 🙂 I've been using the plastic pedals that came with my TMX wheel but they weren't designed for constant use. They use pots and tension springs, which have snapped 3 times. So, been out of action for 2-3 months. Wasn't changing them again. Mind you, got about 4 years use out of them. Can't wait to get back into it.
Oh, Chris. LFM GT3 Rookies are far worse than public lobbies. I had two good races in BMW Cup and GT4, then tried GT3 and got absolutely annihilated by careless drivers. I'd stay away from that series until you are out of the rookies.
Maintaining a high safety rating isn’t easy without joining a community which requires regular weekly on time commitment, lfm looks/looked like the answer but I guess you’ll get takers everywhere it just depends what gets done about it
100% this. I think it’s why ACC will never be my go-to sim. I only have a few hours a week to race, so I just need to hop in and race whenever I get that chance. So I’m heavily reliant on base or default setups, with no real time to create, test and refine my own. I don’t really want to go down the paid setup route either. So I guess my hands are tied a little bit, when it comes to racing on default setup.
Wouldnt worry too much about the speed. if your new to lfm you auto get a rating of 1500. Will just take a few races for you to get the proper rating you should have. Rookies is also a bit mental lol
Yeah I did wonder why I went straight into the top split! It was because of the 1500 rating. Well after this race, it’s already dropped a fair bit, so you’re right… a few more races and it should even itself out 🤞
Any decent league would ban that guy right away. If you're looking for actually clean racing come check out NARR the North America race room league. We race AMS2 and dirt rally 2, and of course raceroom. It's a blast, and a great group of talented drivers. See you on track soon.
Ahh thanks man, yeah I know of your community, often see your RaceRoom events advertised. If it’s can make timings work, I’d definitely love to join one of your races sometime. Thanks for the offer
It appears that all this was caused by the race rage of one driver. Not a good look really for unmanned (no oversight during race) racing. Ive never done LFM so I can't really comment on them however.... I am a member of a great online community that offers manned racing for ACC Gt3, porsche cup, bmw Gt4 and F1 22. They offer iracing as well but don't know much about that. The groups name is Octane Online Racing and they have organised scheduled once a week sprint races in Asia pacific region, Europe and America. I guess the the main advantage here would be that as they have stewards and a race director etc which means that while the initial contact between those two drivers might still take place the ongoing retribution would not have. Yes I realise that its only available for a couple of races per week but believe me they have some incredibly fast drivers in these races. Some of their drivers compete for teams in SRO events so it's a high standard. It means that you can race fairly in a high level event which is also streamed live with commentators, sponsors and live timing etc etc. It means that when you stream it appears to your viewers as if it is a real event. However, for people that are not that confident they also run rookie races where people can be in a controlled environment but without points. They run track walk throughs, setup forums and have setups available etc etc. So they help develop people to become great racers. However the best part is the community itself. They don't tolerate abuse, misogyny racial abuse cheating aggression etc etc......just respect and kindness is all they ask. Look them up.
Hey, thanks for taking the time to let me know about this. I’ll definitely check them out, I’m always looking for good places to race, and I really like the sound of Octane. Cheers!
LFM rookie is like public lobbies... i am racing in leagues. It's always a difference like day and night. People don't report. It's too much effort and doesn't make the races enjoyble anyway. Hopefully that will change soon in the next iron class
Yeah I totally understand why people don’t waste the time and effort to report someone. I’d probably be the same. Seems like league/community racing is definitely the best way to get the most out of ACC.
Too bad things feel apart on the last lap, you were doing pretty good. Perhaps What's his name's driving was a distraction. Cowardly behaviour like that makes my blood boil; makes me want to reach out and touch someone. I'm not a fan of stewarding, but that type of thing should be dealt with somehow. Once again you've put out a great video; you have a knack for the commentary. Thanks for the video.
Yeah me too, particularly after the exact same thing happened in my last ACC race too. The driver involved did actually message me earlier to apologise for his actions, and has reached out to the Lexus driver too. So that was nice, I can always respect someone who admits their error and apologises. Thanks for watching!
@@seanpatterson5574 Yes, I felt equally bad for being so critical in the video now! But it needed to be said, it was a really bad demonstration of behaviour. But all credit to the guy for holding his hands up, and promising to learn from it 😃
@@chrisrogerssimracing Agreed. We all have moments we aren't proud of. His behaviour was bad, but you gotta respect him for standing up and accepting responsibility.
@@chrisrogerssimracing what I will say though the higher splits can be very aggressive, especially on the first couple of laps so you have to be carefull, some people will just go for any gap, no toxic rammers though lol
Thanks, yeah hopefully he will. I looked at doing it myself, but the rules say only to report it you were directly affected. Luckily I wasn’t! I’ll stick with it, hopefully qualify out of rookies and maybe find some better races. Thanks for watching and commenting, appreciate it 😃
Just stick with it and practice. Some tracks are worse for incidents than others and once out of rookies you should be okay. Also find a timeslot you like and stick with it. Mostly get same racers give or take. The guy who targeted other racer will get perma ban as LFM are pretty strict on that stuff if reported
Nice one, thanks for the words of encouragement. Yeah I wondered if it would get better if I could do a few more races to get through rookies and open up some more races. Hopefully the guy in the Lexus will report him… I did look at doing it myself, but the rules say only to report if you’re directly affected. Luckily I wasn’t! Cheers for watching, appreciate it
@@chrisrogerssimracing no problem. I am redoing sim setup so on break from LFM but honestly just keep practicing and i am sure you do but read up on tire pressures, fuel amounts etc. ACC has a steep learning curve but use LFM practice servers to get setup sorted and then go racing. Good luck 👍
Yeah I can’t disagree. I hate calling for anyone to be banned, but this really soured the race experience. Like I said in the video, I’d rather people just rage-quit and leave the race if they’re this angry, rather than staying on to get revenge. It just risks ruining it for others. Thankfully I didn’t get taken out, but it was close with that second big punt.
@@chrisrogerssimracing Agreed" People make mistakes in race, and the initial first incident was a common one anyone can make by going for a gap on the inside that wasn't really available, it can be excused due to inexperience" but to take revenge straight away without giving him the benefit of doubt was a childish move" if he did it twice then you have to call it as it is, people like him belong on Arcade games" and the odd GT7 lobbies😳
My LFM experience has been a bit hit and miss and arguably I have had better races in open lobbies. Still no excuse for that show hopefully it will get to LFM as I am sure they will not like that publicity
To be honest, I think I’ve just been really unlucky with the grids I landed on. I actually received a message of apology from the guy this afternoon, a really nice message, so that restored my faith a bit. He sounds like a thoroughly decent guy who was having a bad day and let his frustrations get the better of him. A mistake to learn from 😃
Rookie races are bad. Just keep your nose clean as possible so you can finish 10 races with over a 4 SR. So many fast drivers in rookie that are also dangerous and stuck there. And yes, as long as the guy in the Lexus reported the McClaren, those moves should result in lengthy suspensions, if not an outright ban. Intentionally causing a collision for the 1st time is a 28 day ban and revoke of license. Doing it a 2nd time is a permanent ban. So possibly permanent if they count more than one in the race.
Thanks Jonathan, 10 races seems a long way off at the moment! But I’ll keep plugging away at it, as it would be good to get out of rookies and open up a few more (safer) opportunities! SR is currently high at least, so will try and keep it protected! Thanks for the tips 😃
In 180+ races at LFM I haven't seen this behavior so don't make this thing about LFM or the races there... The guy will get a ban and maybe even have already got one already as his name no longer appears in the search. Things like this sort out themself but only with LFM - in public the guy would go on in the next race and nothing would happen. LFM is the best that could happen to ACC, I have mostly clean races, far from what can be seen here. This is not LFM, it's people like this one particular guy...
Ahh yes if it comes across as a dig at LFM, I really didn’t mean it to. They’ve done an awesome job, pretty much rescued ACC’s online offering. And the actions of one driver in one race isn’t on them. Actually, I’ve had so many cool and positive messages from LFM drivers on here, it’s completely restored my faith in it. So I’m definitely going to stick with it 😃
Yeah, as usual I’m way too late to the party! I did sign up to it back in the earlier days and did the hot lap licence tests, just never got around to racing it. I dunno, maybe it’s better if you get out of rookies. But not sure I can be bothered to try again after this. Cheers for watching
@@chrisrogerssimracing Still carnage in the longer races mate, very fast guys granted, but most go for overtakes that are not realistic and don’t have the sense enough to back out and just punt pass. Just hot loppers with little to no race craft. I’d recommend joining a league and you’ll find ACC a really enjoyable sim then.
Definitely report it. This sort of behaviour is penalised heavily and I wouldn't be surprised if he's banned for good without any way to come back. This is absolutely disgraceful.
LFM Rookies are a bit hit and miss and Nurburgring particularly. I guess LFM is a victim for the sheer popularity. with masses comes a few rotten eggs..
Yeah, I was kinda bracing myself for absolute carnage at T1 at Nurbs - I’ve had some pretty big pile-ups there in the past! But was really surprised and happy when everyone took care and got through there safely (well, except the two that span on exit). Shame about the antics afterwards, but hopefully I’ve just been unlucky with the races I’ve picked to enter. Thanks for watching 😃
Cool yeah that sounds fair for a first-time offence. I did actually receive a message of apology from the driver this afternoon, and he’s got in touch with the Lexus guy as well, so that’s nice. Definitely a mistake to learn from.
Ha yeah sorry about that! As for the incidents, I did look at reporting it myself but saw in LFM’s rules that you need to be directly affected by the incident to report it. So who knows of anything came of it. The driver in question did get in touch to apologise, and apologised to the guy he was hitting too. Not that that makes it right, but it’s a start 😃
ACC is just completely unfun to drive. The physics are so boaty and weird compared to every other racing sim. I don't understand how there are so many people who like it.
Yeah completely agree. I downloaded RF2 yesterday as it was on offer, and straight away felt connected with the track in that sim. I could feel what the car was doing on the track surface. With ACC I find I have to guess, because I’ve got no feel coming through the wheel to tell me. ACC looks and sounds fantastic, but I just wish it FELT better.
Same with me, after 80h of trying to get used to ACC i completely stopped. It feels horrible on my wheel and all the setup stuff is too much headache. As much as i would like to love ACC i cannot. I completely switched to AMS2 and i'm loving it.
@@PeWersi Yeah, maybe I should try AMS2. I’m trying my hardest to like ACC, but it’s just not happening at the moment. Which is a shame, because there are so many races to choose from in LFM with decent grid sizes.

@@BDHRaceSimHardware Hey, thanks for the kind words and the sub. Welcome to the channel! Hope you enjoy the upcoming races as much. Cheers
That is pure BS. He should be banned for life. No apologies can make up for that.
@@paoloambrosio You’re a tough man, Paolo! Haha. Absolutely agree that a ban is deserved. But I’m encouraged that remorse is shown… the first big step to hopefully learning from your mistakes 😃
Yeah, he's probably more sorry he got caught! Lol. because of the apology I'd make it a temporary ban instead of permanent.
Well this video helped me decide. I no longer care about joining LFM anymore.
Good on you for being fair. :)
Best sim racing channel on TH-cam, hands down…more like foot down though as all the racing is so exhilarating…
Ahh thank you mate, much appreciated ❤️
@@chrisrogerssimracing Thanks again!
@@chrisrogerssimracing A pity that GT4 and BMW M2 cup series lobbies are always empty. What kids and wannabe fast racers see is GT3 only !
Great commentary. :D I had forgotten how messy the rookie races can be.
Thanks mate, yeah this was as bad as it gets! Thankfully, most races got a bit better after this one 🤣
Really nice exiting commentary!! Keep on
Thank you Marco, appreciate the kind words 😃
@@AndreMiguelLopes69 thanks dude- I may do that!
Hahaha well this race was as close to Wreckfest as you can get 🤣 But yeah we definitely need to arrange something on that!
Really enjoying your videos !! Keep it up man !! 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you Sulley, appreciate that. Cheers for watching!
i raced alot in lfm and am still in rookie even though i drive safe there are just too many people trying to keep positions while doin mistakes and this guy, the mclaren should DEFINITLY be banned bc that is inapropiate behaviour .... we need alot more ppl like you who maybe arent fast but drive with brain and respectful
to answer question from you a setup sure lets u drive more comfortable and safer at some point but u only gain if u train hard enough maybe half a sec bc first u need to know the track and the racing line to gain time
anyway i didnt gain any SR rating points my last races despite having from results gaining sr so i dunno if there is a failure in the database but ye i gave up lfm
but do keep up the good racing :)
5:13 Pro Bowler for sure : )
Hahaha yeah definitely! 🤣
Hope that McLaren bloke got a 12month ban
13:00 well done for being fair and giving up the position after running wide.
Thank you, yeah I’d feel too guilty if I hadn’t done that!
Excellent vid really enjoyed it 👍👍👍
Thank you Graham, happy to hear you enjoyed it. Will be another LFM race video landing tomorrow and it’s a cracker!
Yeah that’s totally it… I just couldn’t believe how fast everyone is! Even the slowest guys are fast!
I think over time more slower
@@andyking05 If reported this will be a permanent ban for the driver doing this kind of thing. LFM simply does NOT tolerate it. But someone needs to report it. With regards to finding good competition I would just get the LFM license and work my way out of Rookie ASAP. Then start driving. Keep it safe and the pace will come. :)
Not any better than an open lobby it seems. Too many people with way more speed than racecraft. Great job as always with the presentation and commentary. I could watch paint dry to your commentary, it's just that good. 😁
Ferrari is my main car in ACC.
I wouldn't expect to see that McLaren in LFM after this. I expect this video is enough evidence to get him banned instantly.
You need to be an E sports announcer for racing man you have a gift
Ahhh thank you man, that’s very kind of you to say 😃

Fine, he apologized........But honestly, if your first reaction to having a bad day isn't logging-off, but deliberately ramming another player, then you have anger-management issues.
Oh and a PSA: Yamac isn't pronounced "jamak". That little squiggle below the C makes an Englih CH-sound like 'CHurch' or 'CHatter'

Haha thank you Lars, I dread to think how many international names I’ve butchered over the past year or so! 🤣
Alright. I saw the title of this video and thought to myself: "Yeah, welcome to LFM"
But...let's watch it :D
Haha. It was a pretty decent race, apart from one driver. I’m well off the pace though, I don’t drive ACC that much and all the guys here are so fast.
Man, I so wish RaceRoom had the population LFM does. Loved racing on it, but just not enough racers and lobbies.
@@Kaylos29 yes agree, it used to be my only sim and I loved it but they messed it up a year or so ago. Should have left it as it was with fewer categories.
Thats a no brainer. Lifetime ban
You're almost as slow as me. Okay, not really. I'm a lot slower but I appreciate your race. I'm always in the back.
Haha glad I’m not the only one. I think it’ll take ages before I can leave the back of the grid.
it's why I stick with the ai, they give me a more consistent and realistic race. too many people treating what should be a simulation into an arcade game......that being said, still enjoy seeing you stick it out. it gives me a glimpse into what type of racing is happening in multiplayer. keep up the good work!
@@unovox Haha, you may be waiting a long time to see me win 😂
@@chrisrogerssimracing it will certainly. Great racing ethics as usual. GGs
Thanks Paolo, yeah perhaps next time I’ll try the GT4 rookies, that’s a good shout 👍
Dare I say your voice has a bit of Murray walker here and there 👊
Well that’s the biggest compliment I could receive! Thanks Andy, appreciate it mate 👍
Maintaining a high safety rating isn’t easy without joining a community which requires regular weekly on time commitment, lfm looks/looked like the answer but I guess you’ll get takers everywhere it just depends what gets done about it
The area you gain the most time on acc imo is in setups as you could have all the skill in the world and be nowhere with a bad setup
Cheers!
if that guy gets reported correctly, (guidelines to reports are VERY speciffic), he's looking at an immediate permanent ban from LFA.
It is really good to hear the driver has acknowledged and appologized. That is the opposite of cowardly; I feel kinda bad for my statement now.
@@seanpatterson5574 Yes, I felt equally bad for being so critical in the video now! But it needed to be said, it was a really bad demonstration of behaviour. But all credit to the guy for holding his hands up, and promising to learn from it 😃

Good luck 👍
I don't know WTF is going on on ACC lately! I joined ALR just to try to build up my SA because the lobbies on PS5 are just caus everywhere.
This one is not worthy, my god crazy driving.
Yeah, I sure know how to pick the grids, don’t I!
Ban the Muppet! we dont need fools like that in sim racing" its hard enough trying to stay on track racing normally 😳
So I’m definitely going to stick with it 😃
The guy need to be banned from LFM. That is pathetic.
Yeah, not great at all. Hopefully the apology is genuine, and he’ll learn from it.
LFM was good until it exploded 6 months ago, now it’s just trash.
Yeah, as usual I’m way too late to the party! I did sign up to it back in the earlier days and did the hot lap licence tests, just never got around to racing it. I dunno, maybe it’s better if you get out of rookies. But not sure I can be bothered to try again after this. Cheers for watching

Still carnage in the longer races mate, very fast guys granted, but most go for overtakes that are not realistic and don’t have the sense enough to back out and just punt pass. Just hot loppers with little to no race craft. I’d recommend joining a league and you’ll find ACC a really enjoyable sim then.
Dude! you really need some chill on the commentary lol
perma ban that guy
Definitely report it. This sort of behaviour is penalised heavily and I wouldn't be surprised if he's banned for good without any way to come back. This is absolutely disgraceful.
Yeah I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, particularly the final one when I was following him down the straight. Shocking.
Thanks for watching 😃
report and week ban i think for 1st time offences like this
Cool yeah that sounds fair for a first-time offence. I did actually receive a message of apology from the driver this afternoon, and he’s got in touch with the Lexus guy as well, so that’s nice. Definitely a mistake to learn from.
love the content, but the commentary really gives me anxiety
