I just discovered Asterism last week, via You Tube videos. As a native Texan, I was disappointed I did not realize who Asterism was and that they were in Texas, just last month (March 2019). If I ever get a chance to see them, I most definitely will do so. I'm a 70 year old guitar aficionado, been into hot guitar music, all genres, since my teen years in mid 1960s. Asterism is the most exciting rock trio I've heard since Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker formed Cream in 1966! This is very high praise to Asterism, as Cream became one of the most famous rock bands ever. Miyu on bass, reminds me of the late great Cream bassist, Jack Bruce. Mio on drums reminds me of the late John Bonham, from Led Zeppelin. Haruka Noma on guitar is totally incredible! She's like a reincarnation of Jimi Hendrix, SRV, and every great metal guitarist, combined! WOW! What a great group of amazingly talented, classy young musicians, indeed! They are national treasures, representing their great nation of Japan. I wish them every success, happiness, in their music and lives. Blessings and peace from a Texas cowboy..........
Same here, couple years younger than you on the East Coast. I found them about a month ago through a "Mary's Blood" link (an amazing all girl Japanese metal band) and I hear Bootsy Collins is also a big fan of ASTERISM.
I caught them in LA. Nobody here knew either. I dragged down a couple of former pro guitarist friends with me and we stood 2 feet in front of that girl totally mesmerized by her finger work on that fret board. I've never seen anything like it. My buddies who could speak more authoritatively than me totally agree. She is amazing!
A year older than you and totally agree!!!! I have been saying the same thing to all my friends and trying to get them to give this band a listen. This group is on fire!!!!
