I forgot to mention for color mode I've been using: *PRO* / *CINEMA* and the one I showed *S-GAMUT3.CINE* - You can play around and see what you like most out of these.
Here it is, this is the picture profile I use for my sony. You've asked about it a lot and here it is! I'll realise my Cine4 LUT pack later this week and then a tutorial on how I color grade with them.
I know this is a few years old but it's still super awesome!! I was struggling to find a setting that worked well with S-Cinetone on my FX3 and this does the trick. Thanks my friend!
Earned a subscriber. Im a total new beginner to the camera world. Just bought a sony a6400 with a 13 or 15 -50mm kit lens. Mainly for gym content. Im trying to make it look as cinematic as possible
Still, Pro and cinema are awesome customizable color spaces. Sgamut spaces are bigger and rescue a little bit more dinamic range but arent customizable in the color depth tab in some test I did. Great video!
Great video like usual man. I actually just upgraded to the A6500 so I've been playing around with different profiles - definitely going to give this one a shot.
Thank you very much for your advice as I just purchased the A6600 as an upgrade to record my channel. Just purchased your LUT pack to support you as well =) keep up the good work.
Bro I love your videos, you’ve definitely inspired me to try out TH-cam as a hobby ,and I hope to start once I’m on spring break from school. So glad I found your channel. Thank you for making the videos you make because you always seem to answer any questions based on your tutorials.
Hi. I've seen in one of your comments that you got the a6400. Will you do a comparison video between a6300 and a6400? I also want to buy a second sony aps-c and I am wondering if I should take another a6300 or if the extra cash for a6400 is really worth. Thanks
I think you'll enjoy the a6400. It's very similar tbh but it has some super nice upgrade like the flip up screen. Oh my I didn't think I'd enjoy it this much - so nice to see how the frame looks like. But I'll make a full comparison after 2-3 weeks just want to get a nice feeling for the a6400 so I know what I'm talking about!
Hey Arnúlfur! Thank you SO much for this video!! I've had my A6600 for nearly a year, now and while I love everything about it, color grading has always been the "bee in my bonnet" so to speak. 😝 I re-created your picture profile and can already see the difference! hopefully, this will streamline color-grading for me.🤞 Also, congrats on new tiny human and going full-time TH-cam! Love your channel!! ✌😄
Hi Mate, I'm just wondering what settings you are using for the White Balance on the camera. (BTW Amazing luts! I have purchased all of them, your skin tones are some of the best I've used and seen )
Thank you! I use manual on kelvin! So i'm constantly changing it if I'm in run and gun but, daylight it's around 5500K and then shadows / cloudy 6300-7000K and then I work my self from there. Manual WB FTW!
I have been using PP8 Cine4 and Pro, I noticed when I switched it to ITU709 Matrix, the colors popped more. I'm a terrible color grader in post. Is Pro still the one you'd recommend? And is there a reason not to use ITU709 Matrix? Just trying to learn my camera better for vlogging. Thanks in advance :)
Thanks a lot for your sharing. I would like to ask this before buying your " COLOR GRADED WITH MY CINE LUT PACK " > I am beginner of Final Cut Pro X. Can I use your Lut Pack in Final Cut Pro X?
Thanks for your tips and tricks. So very valuable. I'm very concerned! My new a6600 (bought last week), in CINE mode everything is DARK when shooting video. No idea why. Is the camera defective? what am I missing? Thanks so much. I very much appreciate it.
Maybe you can help me. Like they say always ask the expert. I have an A6600. I purchased some coloured lights for the background and I use one key light for now. I notice a strange thing happened during filming the video. I notice after when I am editing and I see the video. I see that the video started out as a somewhat dark video image ( which I like) - like most vlogs. Then it starts to brighten itself as the clip goes on. The camera seems to some how change something in adjustment during filming.Im not sure if I have to turn some setting off or adjust other settings?
Awesome! I just started filming in Cine4 so thanks for sharing your settings. How do you handle white balance while vlogging? Looking forward to the color grading tutorial.
@@thaticelandicguy Yes! Auto WB is definitely a pain to color grade, so any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated! Here's another idea...color correcting for changing exposure in a single scene. I ran across this the other day in one of my run and gun vlogs. I got the footage back home and had a helluva time correcting the footage. Moving from outdoors to indoors...
@@Team512 pfff that's a pain, need to get the shots - for run and gun having Auto ISO from like 100-1600 is nice, then you will make sure that your footage is somehwat exposed nicely
with cine4 it's iso 200-1600 :) - Then when I know I have a nice shot and really want I switch to manual ISO agian and then when I'm back at running around I go auto. Switching back and forth.
The colors look really nice combine with your picture profile. I`m using Cinestyle for Canon camera, which is similar to an cine 4 ori slog. Can`t wait for the luts.
THAT ICELANDIC GUY. I have a 6d mark ii and an 80D but I have to work my color grading that’s why I’m waiting for your luts it’ll give me a base start.
How do you get around the color blocking artifacts that S-Gamut3.Cine & S-Gamut produces (especially in shadows in skin tones where color information is lost because of the 8bit codec) I switched to either ITU 709 Matrix or Movie gamut when using S-log 2 or Cine 2 and no more blotchy skin tones and in shadows in general.
How much sharpness do you add back to the footage when you edit it? I tried out your Cine 4 picture profile and I like it a lot. I am just unsure how to add the sharpness back in and how much. Currently, I use a value of 10-20 in the creative tab of lumetri color.
This video truly admirable because I have the same model of sony and I was thinking about how you set cine4 for shooting video? and another question is what you think about slog2,3 and according to your experience when we need to use slog2 and 3?
Thank you!! Honestly I havent used S-log in 3 years so I can't really answer your in a great way. But I think slog is good in more controlled enviroment. But I'm going to switch to S-log soon just so I can learn to use it propperly :)
thanks for those settings - one question- it looks too washed, colors don't look that vivid while recording- will that be fixed during post-production-I used adobe priemiere? I have learned a lot from your videos

loved the explanation of each setting!
how do i expose the camera with this cine4 2 stops high like slog or any other ?

-4 in 4k and 0 in 1080p. And with the Color Mode, play around with, Pro / Cinema and S.Gamut3.cine :)
