I’ll add to that. If you have the zf auto even better. The engine is f136 family, which was pretty solid. Parts are expensive when they come up, but as others said more problems when sitting more than a month not driving.
Sure for an exotic car. But we are still talking 5-10k a year in maintance and repairs. In a really good year maybe 2-3k. And don't forget about insurance! Another 4-6k!
I own a Maserati Gran Turismo MC Stradale 2012 since 2014. I think these Cars are underrated as hell. You should get one that was really well treated by the previous Owner though, and that's the Problem. That note on the BMW’s are money pits: most Bimmers here are diesels, and BMW build some of the toughest diesel engines out there. Had an E39 525d i6 M57 engine that I drove to 400k km’s (248k miles). Drove really well when I sold it with zero issues and with only basic maintenance (transmission was rebuilt at one point though by previous owner, these cars had a really shitty General Motors transmission, later one’s got a rock solid ZF transmission). Rust had gotten out of hand though and which is why I sold it.

Ironically watching this video because I still think about the GT a lot and regret selling it(didn’t have space for a second car). That being said overall if you buy one that was taken care of and take care of it you’ll be fine. You can tell which ones were left in the heat off the sticky buttons alone(which can be fixed of course but I’d never buy one with sticky buttons). Hope this helps anyone looking at these cars.
If you think about it, these 3 have the best job in the world right now for a car enthusiast. Kennan's videos are interesting, tame and factual because Kennan is a complete nerd about cars. Filipo's videos are more interesting and entertaining because he is finding himself as a car enthusiast and its nice to watch him grow into these sports cars, which he has never really been familiar with.
I own a 2009 GT-S coupe 4.7 and I was shocked to see in your video how small the trunk is. Its way, WAY bigger on mine. That is a huge difference. The materials in my car have held up exceptionally well. Looks like new, I would suppose because that car is a rental it gets hammered on pretty good. :) So far, just keeping up with normal recommended maintenance and its been a champ.
Sounds absolutely amazing. I think as long as it has the ZF auto and not the weird MC shift transmission it’s a good car for low $30k. Does anyone think these cars are about to make a comeback on the used market? A lot of people have been talking about them lately, and could the unreliability issues be solved?

Please stop with the "they're not known for being the most reliable in the world" BS. These are fantastic and highly reliable cars.
