Thank you for the insights! Well structured conversation and well explained! I think I personally (warning: personal opinion) dislike Blorcs. While I understand they fit the narrative, I just feel like every list I see is relying more on the Blorcs than the Dwarves, which doesn't click with myself. I also don't like that they can get magic items from the Orcs & Goblins list (again, for flavour reasons), I'd rather they were restricted to the common magic items and chorf ones. Perhaps when I play with/against chorfs I want to actually fight with/against chorfs!

Love the deathshrieker, first time using it was against my buddy’s daemons army, he had a keeper of secret which I shot at turn 2 and thanks to hellbound upgrade ignored his ward and rolled a 6 for dmg to one shot it 😂

Curse of Hashut could be also quite nice if you play against Elf army with no dragons etc, as that then they will be mostly failing those Toughness tests half of the time...
In regards to the iron daemon, when you say "you roll a d6 in the movement phase and add the result to its movement". Could that be done before declaring your charge?

the motley crew with black orcs - do I understand it correctly if I have 16 models (10 with shields, 6 with GW) in 8x2 formation, and the fighting rank consists of 4 models with shield and 4 models with GW, the enemy charges them and inflicts 5 wounds 1. I can use 3+ save against those wounds (as per the latest FAQ) 2. If I fail all of them, I have to remove 5 models with shields only (4 from the fighting rank and 1 from behind) 3. This means the 4 great weapon models in the fighting rank can strike back?
Are you sure that multiple instances of Ash Storm stacks? I’m not super well versed in the rules yet (hence the question), but my gut feeling is that modifiers from the ‘same’ source wouldn’t stack? If it does, that would indeed be a nice help for melee CDwarfs that I’d welcome 😂
So if a unit is targeted by a debuffing hex it can only be effected once , storm of ash is range self , so if you have multiple auras of it then units can be effected by them as they are not cast on the unit . The rule works the same as the debuffing vortex’s as you can be effected by multiples of those :)
Not convinced about the death shriekers still. In a meta where war machines are primarily used to hit monsters, that S6 is a deal breaker. I don't know why everyone talks about the d6 wounds when the problem is wounding them in the first place, I'd much rather have a regular S8 d3+1 stone thrower, and for a hell of a lot less points too. Maybe if everyone gravitates to massive horde blocks then it'll have more use, but until then, I'm skeptical. Also, I would like to know the matchups in more detail. How does this list deal with the really skewed lists like heavy screams, Bret RAF, WE dragon and shooty pals etc? As it stands I remember Tom having a pretty bad experience with a WE list in a previous tourney.
It’s the threat of them that’s the real strength , if I get a lucky shot with the grudge thrower I’m doing 4 wounds that thing is doing 6 , I will get tom to reply and talk about what it goes well into I know he won against exiles peg spam for the win
The shriekers were in response to the wood elves, and they help deal with them really efficiently. RAF, well you just have to be tactical but if they can't hit you or wound you, it's no big deal (t7 plus -2 to hit works wonders) Haven't played into screams yet, it will do poorly if I can't snipe off the general early (another case for the shrieker) It deals with dragons just fine
@@UKRESINPRINThello : I've played against screams,in my experience you are ok if you aren't too greedy, sit tight and make them come to you, the deathshriekers shoot the terrorgheists every turn and should kill one. I take the other spell here too so I can target banshees with it. Usually get a solid if unspectacular 13-7 against screams. I enjoyed the video by the way ! Good content
I'm not sure if that was already covered, but is it possible to include black orc boss on black orc chariot? The CHD army comp list does not mention anything these have to be from O&G grand army. If this is possible, then I still should be able to include black orcs mob as i will have a black orc character to satisfy the 'da boyz' rule?
@@havefuntrading6263 It sits in the "check with your TO" category. There's nothing to say you can't, but GW will never outright say you can either because of the legends tag on chorfs. But I’d say yes personally
@Dawiafterdark yeah this would definitely be a spicy option, even for a black orc big boss to save the points. Trollhide trousers, enchanted shield plus great weapon. That's 6W 2+/5++/6+++ and 8 S6 AP-3 attacks on the charge that re roll 1s to wound, not to mention impact hits and boars. Immune to killing blow and monster slayer too. Can also include a standard bearer...
So with motley crew you can choose what you fight with and as for the number of attacks , 2 on the charge because of furious, 3 if frenzy, 4 if champion fights :)

Could be wrong, but I think the 6 GW attacks is because he will have 3 with GW in the front rank and minimum 4 with shields which means any casualties will come from the shields as they are the majority. Don't think there was any talk of changing weapons? Could be wrong though and would be happy to be corrected if it helps with my struggles to get to grips with this very badly thought out rule.
@@Dawiafterdark I don't think there is any changing what you fight with that's specific to Motley Crew - isn't it just that whatever is in the front rank is what fights? I mean the GW boys could choose to use their hand weapons just like in any other unit with GW, but as they have no shields there's not much incentive to do so and I don't think this is what's going on here. Honestly they are pretty cool , I much prefer the normal dwarfs but if you still want to play dwarfs but with access to suedo dragons and magic then the dawi zar is definitely a good option
