What's up everyone? Questions for you: -Favorite part of the video? -Do you prefer the drive up to Payson, or back to Phoenix? -Is Payson your summer getaway from Phoenix? Thanks for watching!
I used to be able to drive through this easily years ago now I'm nervous as hell and the wide opened valley makes me dizzy. It sucks because I live in AZ and my wife has to drive if we go far north.
Not too sure. Elevation in goes from about 1,100ft in Mesa up to 5,000ft in Payson. Definitely have seen people tow to and from Payson. I think I-17 head to Flagstaff has steeper inclines/declines. Thanks for watching!
@@jordanmonroe2964 not sure bro, still thinking between 5 cities depends for my job. Graduating from University of Illinois Champaign this year and applying for jobs. Looking at either Austin, Dallas, Seattle, Atlanta, Tampa, or Phoenix
@@singingLeaf123 Congratulations man on your soon to be degree from U of I. Great university. Good choice on waiting to move with your degree in hand. Nice, I thought about moving to all those cities at one point except for Seattle (the weather didn't seem appealing) Keep researching those cities, look up "Moving to Dallas" reddit posts, "Moving to Seattle" TH-cam videos, "living in Atlanta" videos. Pretty much any free material you can get your hands on if you can't visit before moving.
Hey, thanks for commenting! I haven't taken AZ 87 from Phoenix to Holbrook, so I don't know the entire stretch. From Phoenix to Payson, it's pretty safe during the day. There are lots of twists and turns once you get into the mountains, plus people will drive faster than the speed limit and tailgate, so be mindful of that. I'm not sure how the night is. I prefer not to drive in the mountains at night. Wildlife likes to roam about.

I prefer the drive back because I always look forward to going home. The Valley is too congested for me. Love Payson.
Excellent

I don't recognize this way to Payson I usually take the route from Mesa through AJ up I don't remember it looking like this
Back in the day that hiway won an award for least environmental impact from HighWay magazine.
Made this drive last week
How is the incline, I will be towing a car and wonder my truck will do.

Slow Down!!!
This is Arizona, not Minnesota. You get pulled over if you drive under the speed limit
He had dutch brothers coffee he literally can't slow down after that 😂
