Hello everyone and welcome!
Just an individual here documenting my 2nd out-of-state move. 1st move was a failure... Fortunately, this time you can see me struggle through this one! Just like you, I grow outside of my comfort zone and hate winter.
So, join me in this journey called life. If we don't fail at something, how do we develop?
Stay tuned for future uploads of Phoenix, Arizona and Houston, Texas!

You don't have the New Mexico drive?
Excellent
Can we stop at In n Out ?? 2 double hamburgers w/onions and extra spread and medium house pink lemonade
I don't recognize this way to Payson I usually take the route from Mesa through AJ up I don't remember it looking like this
You drove past my childhood home on Barstow Road
Stay away from this area in the mornings and afternoons you will be stuck in gridlock traffic for long times do to crazy drivers who always crash in the same areas day in day out
You’re not on 260. That is AZ-87. There is I short time north of Payson where both routes share the same pavement. But no one calls that 260.
this video brought back memories of hampton. used to live there back in 2013. thank you for uploading and sharing💯

Hello Jordan They did a wonderful job on the new I-74 bridge, & we all love it, I think It has more of a modern look now. Last weekend they blew up the last portion of the old I-74 bridge. The Arsenal Bridge, it is pretty cool to, how it opens up when barges go through. Then we have the Centennial that separates Davenport from Rock Island, It used to have a toll, in the middle, but they took it down. Thanks, for sharing. It’s pretty cool to see my hometown on TH-cam! 🥰
Hello Jordan So I see you were in my Hometown 😁, I'm in the Bettendorf area. I saw after Bettendorf you went through Pleasant Valley. Great video, are you from the Quad Cities area?
He's not from the area and you can tell that. There are many areas he don't even know that exist here.
Made this drive last week
I used to be able to drive through this easily years ago now I'm nervous as hell and the wide opened valley makes me dizzy. It sucks because I live in AZ and my wife has to drive if we go far north.
have the same issue
Hi I got my section 8 in Dubuque Iowa and how do I find a house or townhouse or a Apt? Because I'm not from Iowa and I just need help finding something nice and in a nice place to live with my children can someone tell me please I just need help think you
Here’s a question: Why didn’t you leave an average time for looping around between the I-10 and the I-17?
How is the incline, I will be towing a car and wonder my truck will do.
Not too sure. Elevation in goes from about 1,100ft in Mesa up to 5,000ft in Payson. Definitely have seen people tow to and from Payson. I think I-17 head to Flagstaff has steeper inclines/declines. Thanks for watching!
Hello Jordan, I am moving to Arizona in 3 weeks from Illinois. I have a flight booked and I have a transport company that I am looking to ship my car with, but I kinda want to drive. I have a little one, so I feel that may be a bit challenging. Thank you for sharing.🤍
Depends on personal preference. A flight is no where near as long as a drive, but you would see a lot of the country! Hope you and your little one made it out to Arizona safely and welcome! Thanks for watching and commenting.
The music is soothing
Thanks for watching!
Is Strawberry a easy drive. or it a lot of cliffs, Drops ?
Hey, thanks for commenting and watching! I didn't do too much driving in Strawberry. Only what was shown in the video. Not sure if there's a lot of cliffs or drops.

This is Arizona, not Minnesota. You get pulled over if you drive under the speed limit
He had dutch brothers coffee he literally can't slow down after that 😂
My dad grew up in bettendorf. But since I was a kid tell my adult life I've been visiting from kc to here. Probably one of favorite towns Because of the river.
That's interesting. You should definitely try QC style pizza if you haven't already. I've always wanted to visit KC. I've only drove through on I-35 headed to and from Dallas back in 2018. Thanks for commenting and watching!
You drove past my house on Joshua St!
Hey, thanks for commenting lol!
Can you drive at Northern Pkwy from Loop 303 to US 60.
Hey, thanks for commenting! Eventually, I will film the entire 303 along with Northern Pkwy to the 60. I haven't made my way over there in about a year.
pls help is that safe traveling from Holbrook to phoenix on AZ 87,
Hey, thanks for commenting! I haven't taken AZ 87 from Phoenix to Holbrook, so I don't know the entire stretch. From Phoenix to Payson, it's pretty safe during the day. There are lots of twists and turns once you get into the mountains, plus people will drive faster than the speed limit and tailgate, so be mindful of that. I'm not sure how the night is. I prefer not to drive in the mountains at night. Wildlife likes to roam about.
@@jordanmonroe2964 thank you

Hey, thanks for commenting! I have plenty of videos filmed, walking tours of different cities here, hiking videos, etc. Just haven't made time to upload them! Hopefully, things will slow down a bit. Stay tuned!
Hey bud. What do you do for work? I’m thinking of moving to the Phoenix area within the next 6 months I currently live in Michigan and don’t like the winters? I’ll be in Phoenix Jan 10-18 to visit itll be my second time 1st time I liked it. When you moved o Arizona did you know anyone? I don’t have any family or friends in Arizona. But love the weather. What do I do 1st find a job or a place to live. I have enough to rent a place but don’t know if someone will rent to me if I don’t have any employment. I possibly might be able to transfer employment. Any suggestions will help. Thanks bud.
Hey man, thanks for your comment! I work in customer service, in a sense. Phoenix is awesome! How was your visit this past January? I knew a few people here, but if I didn't, that wouldn't have prevented me from moving here (I moved to Texas twice - Dallas and Houston) without knowing anyone or visiting the area. Yes, the weather here in AZ is great. Summers here in the valley are another beast, but don't last forever. For me, June is okay because it's the 1st month of 100+ consistently. July 2021 was bad, imo. Too humid with 100+ degree weather. August 2021, I was over the heat. September, went to Illinois for a few weeks, so I had a break. October 2021 to now has been pleasant. Definitely have your resume updated before moving. Depending on your work history, you could have a job offer before you arrive (Example, you have 7 years of accounting experience with a Bachelor's, you're a CPA, and have managerial experience - you'd probably have a job offer in hand) - Everyone will have a different experience. I moved without a job. You can utilize temp agencies to get you to work right away. Finding a place to live, most places will want proof of an offer letter or a large amount of savings. Again, each situation will be different.
I moved from eastern Iowa to Oregon. As you know Dutch Bros originated in Oregon. And yes, they have great coffee. I've never liven in an area with so many little drive through coffee sellers. Been living in Oregon for over 8 years now. But now we are planning on moving back to the mid west, this time to southern Indiana. I keep watching the progress on the I-74 bridge. I'm really looking forward to ride my bicycle across it. I've ridden across every bridge in the QC area. It will be nice to be able to cross the Centennial and then back over the I-74. I have family around there so will be visiting often, and now that I'll be living in driving range I'll be bringing my bikes with me.
Hey man, thanks for your comment! Yeah, Dutch Bros has great coffee, along with Black Rock Coffee here in AZ. I appreciate the interesting background. Hopefully the I-80 bridge will get replaced soon. What's Oregon like? Do you want to move to Indiana during the spring, summer, fall, or winter? There's an area in East Moline called the "Rust Belt" I think. Basically along 12th avenue leading to River Drive in Moline. It has grown a lot over the last couple of years or so. Restaurants, a hotel, apartments, coffee shop, etc. Really cool to see the area grow. Not to mention Bettendorf is growing like crazy.
North Scottsdale
I have some videos filmed for North Scottsdale, just haven't uploaded yet! Stay tuned!
If you're tuning in from somewhere besides Phoenix, what was your weather like on Thanksgiving? Drop your state and city along with a description of the weather! Look at moving to the Phoenix Metro? Leave some comments! Thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching and commenting! Bettendorf has grown a lot since the 1990's. Can't wait to see the population growth come 2040. The intersection at Forest Grove Dr and Middle Road needs to be updated. Too much traffic not enough road! Lots of new businesses in that area as well. TBK Complex, breweries, restaurants, etc.

Hello, how are you liking Arizona so far and what area did you move to?
Hey, thanks for commenting! I like AZ a lot. I'm in Mesa. The outdoors here, the weather, the opportunities. Black population is smaller than the East/Midwest but growing. Kind of a culture shock compared to how many black people are in my hometown. Definitely missed having a Midwest summer this year, but 8-9 months here is paradise.
Keep talking!
Thanks, Mike! I have a lot of content to upload from over the last year. Stay tuned for more walking tour videos of Arizona!
