I've been up and down this road many times. Me wife and son would stop and get something to eat then have dinner at the view point and watch the sun sets. So beautiful
The Interstate system was built incredibly well in the rural parts. I love the super wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide medians. @34:50 ...at 39:20 especially wow.
My man. I used to jump on this highway after a bad day at work(retail at the time, never again) and either go to Sunset Point, or keep going to Sedona to relax. Having since moved back to NC, I do find myself missing the serenity of it...
"Watch for Ice". Not just yet. The elevation signs are a nice touch. 4000, then 5000 a few miles later. Didn't see 6000 (must have missed it), then 7000 at AZ 89A. My COPD is talking to me. From desert to high country in a little over two hours. Great views and a pleasant enough drive. I-17 follows the corridors of old AZ 69, AZ 79 and alternate US 89 the last few into Flagstaff. It was one of the first parts of Interstate in AZ; started in the late 1950's.
38:18 I noticed on the left shoulder, those flags that business normally use to promote specials are being used for construction/warning signs? That caught me off guard.
The pre-interstate route was US 89A Flagstaff to Cottonwood, State Hwy 79 Cottonwood to Cordes Jct. State Hwy 69 Cordes Jct to Phoenix. Per 1950s maps.
im just wondering how many times he onna bounce back n forth, between nevada, and pheonix,,one min he,s in az, then nv,now he back in az,😅😊😢,make up your mind,🙄🙄🤔🤔🤬😡😠
Thank you for not ruining this with music... just the sound of the road. I always liked the Flagstaff to Phoenix trip better tho 😅🏜

2 hours is often the time it takes to go between Anthem and Sunset Point on a Friday afternoon in the summertime

Humphreys Peak there north of Flagstaff was breathtaking to see! Beautiful drive!
You can't see Humphrey's Peak from Flagstaff. What you are seeing is Agassiz Peak. Humphrey's is behind it.
My man.

Incredible travel! Incredible unique scenic highway! I knew you would do exactly what I commented on your other (such as I-19) video(s)!

Hey mileage Mike nice video and by the way my parents and me went to Sedona then to flagstaff in April 22 before spring break
Nice!
Great drive from Phoenix to Flagstaff. This looks like a smooth drive without too much traffic here. The view is beautiful
Amazing travel! How are things in New Arizona today
69 degrees!?!?!? In June!?!?!? Wow that sounds nice! Send those cool temps to Florida! 🔥🔥
*Late May
In 2 Decembers, the Arizona State I-19 team is ranked in December 2026. And they have Won Arizona too!

I-17's mileage is weird because it used to start from an old routing of US 89.

48:59 I would think that Crown King would be Crown Queen here because of Bumble Bee.
I-19 has 2 videos and videos of him playing in Driving to Arizona on Sundays or Thursdays
It seems to be that most of the billboards along PHX freeways are for lawyers, beer, and pot dispensaries.
Must’ve been nice to escape the heat.
Very!
Very cool. Did you go to the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley ?
Didn't see the Grand Canyon yet but went to Monument Valley
@@MileageMikeTravels Both places are on my bucket list when I get the chance to travel. I want to see Arizona and swing by Vegas while I’m out there.
