I've been watching since winter of '16. You helped me through a dark winter's depression. I've sailed the planet with you and now several other channels too. I'VE BOUGHT A BOAT to begin my own adventure. Thank you for such a strong model of resilience and how I might also be in a relationship. My boat is a Catalina 30' and i'll be learning to sail in Monterey bay, California. She's docked in Santa Cruz.
Lenny is such a legend. He's the coolest kid on a boat. He is so adorable he's got his dad's piercing blue eyes and his mom's chill personality. Elayna is beautiful and I love watching her and Reily with Lenny. You can feel the love. CANT wait for more Lenny adventures. He's such a rock star!!!
Ok, I'm seriously smitten with your little boy...SERIOUSLY! I can't believe how much bigger he's gotten so quickly and how adorable he's becoming. Love that he's a strawberry blond/red head too. He's so beautiful and seems to be such a happy boy. Truly thriving. Good on ya Mum & Dad!
As a Paramedic, as you can imagine, I deal with a lot of stress. Moreover, my Happy medium is watching your channel. It allows me to unwind and also allows me to only imagine what other countries/island's look like... Thank you for sharing your story of your travels with me and all that watch... By the way: my name is Eric.
I love seeing Lenny in the water. He has so much fun splashing about. I just sit in front of the computer screen grinning from ear to ear. More please :)
You guys were on a mooring right behind us in Hopetown . Our grandson looks to be about the same age as Lenny. I have toys and books on-board for the grandkids. I had a extra book that I wanted to give to Lenny but you were off the boat and not back till after we left. Enjoy and treasure your wonderful times together. Silver Fox II.
Riley- I was one of the guys helping save Sleipnir. I was on Hornet's Nest, four (?) boats down from you. Woke to three horn blasts, came topside to see Sleipnir just missing my boat by a few feet and enroute to crash into the Hope Town Marina big boat docks. I initially T-Boned it with my dinghy to stop it until the 90hp tender joined in. My bud Sean jumped on deck with you ("ours now"). It was too late at night to recognize you after we introduced, dawned on me days later! If you down in the Keys sometime, beer's on me. Ragan s/v Hornet's Nest (Leopard 46)
These are the best times with a baby. They are responsive, fun to play with, and cute as can be. They are sturdier and much more fun to be around. Enjoy!
There was a Dock Bar at the Marina when i was there in the 80's. Sailing my guts out. I met the woman who owned that Bar, with her husband and told me she was born on Man o' War Cay.. never left that Island until the day she was married at 19 or 18. Her husband brought her to Elbow Cay and they started a new life. Sh told me she had never been off that Island since the day she arrived. The kids were grown and in Florida at College or University, dont remember. So here she was only lived on two Islands. At least the time i met her. SHe was in her late 30's then i think. Quite the contrast to you two!!! Great video and great work getting it to us.
Never get tired of Lenny's BIG Smile !!!Definitely will have to head down to the Annapolis Boat Show to meet the La Vagabonde crew !! If you ever get further north (Cape Cod, Boston, RI or NH) dinner and a few bottles of red are on me!!Fair winds and following seas La Vagabonde!
You all are such a joy to watch. Lenny definitely has his daddy’s personality; always laughing and smiling and loving the water. God bless your travels and thank you for sharing your adventures with us who are landlocked dreaming of warm and happy sailings! 💕🤩💕
Good to hear about free diving together. There are many stories of free divers who feel fine but pass out while diving or surfacing. Without a dive partner that’s deadly. Please be safe and always dive with someone either free diving or scuba. Just advice from a long time scuba diver. 👍 Have loves the channel for the last 3 years and bought your book a long time ago. Enjoy guys!
In our crazy world..... I look forward to your video's.....No matter how terrible my day has been, you leave me with a smile everytime .. Looking forward to your next video.........And Little Lenny....That baby is so darned cute....~Deb
Guys your adventures take me on a tour I could never envisage travelling and as an older person I will not. That's quite simple. You are experiencing what we/others can only dream of and I congratulate on this. Thru you I am experiencing something I would long to do. In a little way a bucket list has been accomplished and thanks. I may have said before, you allow me to experience the world, don't stop, please take me with you as I will never do what you are doing. Allow that young fella to experience what all young children should, freedom and love. All the best Scotty.
I'd like to please request showing more content on sailing, logistics, sailing procedures, maintenance, anchoring, setting-up, trimming, costs, dealing with issues that come up, practical challenges, etc. whenever possible. I enjoy baby videos as much as anyone and Lenny is simply the cutest, so well done, but it feels like this channel has become more about life with a baby instead of sailing, which I'm sure lots of people love, but just thought I'd mention what some of your subscribers are probably thinking, would be great to have more of a balance. Otherwise, love what you two are putting out and thank you for living life to the fullest. Also, every thought of kitesurfing? I noticed a lot of videos where you say it's windy outside, but this would simply be perfect for kitesurfing.
Oh my goodness, watching these videos helps me escape to my dream life, I'm a 57 year old woman living in Ohio,I grew up in south Florida , but came back home to my birth state of Ohio, married and had 2 children with a great man, but my heart has and will always be with the Ocean, thank you for keeping me near the sea, and seeing the true natural life I wish I had!
New Subscriber. Been watching on and off for about a year but Lenny kind if sealed it for me. Son just got married and I look forward to introducing my (future) grandson, whenever that happens, to the joys of sailing. We're kind of the opposite of you in that my wife and I never venture far from Long Island in our 40' sailboat. Although I am considering a sail in the Bermuda Cruise. Notice I didn't say race. Just sounds like a fun 4 or 5 days. You both, +1, bring much joy to many peoples lives who might never experience the wonderful life that is sailing. You are both to be commended. Keep up the great work! Cheers!!
I was born in Nassau and lived here my entire life....have travelled to the Exuma Islands and Abaco Islands for many summers and holidays on my dad's boat.....I absolutely love watching your adventures and hopefully maybe one day we will spot you guys somewhere around our islands when we are off boating. Lenny is adorable!
Hey guys! I really love your videos and stories. It's all you need to start an excellent day. I really enjoy watching them. A little advice from me: Try to make a fish soup with bones and fish heads. With salt, pepper and lemon, finally a little soy sauce can be a delicious for you and your baby. Hello, from Romania!
I got struck by lightning when I was 3.. and yes it chases you through your adulthood, ive nearly got struck 3 more times, lucky it hit the tree near by.. storms must be the scariest out on the water, knowing that your mast is the highest point. did you know its dangerous to swim in a thunderstorm? yep, it can run through the water and you become the target.. what a great job saving that boat. did you ever find out who owned it? your baby is sooo gorgeous, that smile is heart melting. im glad I went back to catch up because these videos (movies) are worth watching.. try stewed apple on your fish.. its the best, I cant eat fish now without it.. ( I wouldn't try it on marinated fish tho.. ) you have the best laugh Elayna, when you laugh, it makes me laugh.. 😂
Because of you guys I have set a life long goal as a Australian too to buy a boat and sail the world you guys have inspired me so much and are the most beautiful and lovely family love you guys heaps
What a sweet, sweet boy you have! Such a blessing to watch your beautiful family! Love how you both make life feel the way it should be with the ups and downs!
I cant come to Annapolis for the meet... but I just want to say that you guys inspired me and my girl to start living on a boat. We are just 22 years old, she is a designer and I am a international boat skipper and we are just now bying a boat because I saw you guys. I am watching from the first episode and always re-watching everything at least two or three times. Take it easy and enjoy as you do so far. Fair winds
Love watching your video's. My wife and I lived on St.Croix for 3 years and had our first child there. Brings back the memories of our baby girl at the beach and pools. Now she is 29! Hurricane Hugo in 89 sent us back home. Now we live in the San Juan Islands in Wa. State. Still diving and boating. Positive Vibes!
Watched this since the beginning. Such a wonderful story to watch unfold. Hope to one day travel the Sea's like the 3 of you with my family. Until then I'll live vicariously through you 3! ;) God bless you all.
Riley, I hope you have yourself armed. Although unlikely, it’s paramount you have the ability to protect yourself and the family. Loving the videos and safe travels!
Sweet little Lenny is getting sooo big and really looks more and more like his daddy! I love that he loves water and is learning to swim. Thank you for sharing the beautiful surroundings you find yourself in - just lovely.
Riley, you saved someones day again! You are quite the gentlemen who is always willing to help others. Well done Mate! You and your Family are a Blessing to YT! Love the channel!!! Lenny has his Daddy’s smile. I know you’re an extremely proud Dad as you should be! Alayna is a Blessing to you and Lenny!!!
I sure hope you guys never stop sailing ⛵️. Makes my day to watch you guys and Lenny just gets cuter everyday. I’m not in the best mental space right now, but your videos help me put things in perspective. Thank you so much. ❤️
Absolutely love your guys videos! They are not only beautiful but educational and inspirational. Thank you! Id love if you guys could make a video on boat basics, just simple things about how to sail and what certain things mean and do!
I have had to come back to Ep.205, in order to make a comment that I couldn't do on Ep.206. 206 was a terrific video, thanks heaps for doing it so well. I know it's a lot of work, with a tremendous amount of editing, but please keep it up, you're doing such a great job. I meant to make a suggestion a number of episodes back, but I forgot until this one. I have had some experience at climbing coconut palms, I lived and worked in PNG for 2 years and one of my favourite foods was green coconuts. The next time you plan on scurrying up one, tie something like a 100+mm wide strip of old towel around your ankles so that your feet are about 350mm or so apart. Use a reef not to tie the ends off and make sure the material still has some substance to it and is not rotten. When you climb using an ankle strap, you won't have to worry about keeping a tight grip with your feet. That's the method my PNG friends taught me except they used kunai grass twisted into a rope. You are so lucky with Lenny, he is such a gorgeous little kid.
Hi, you two (and sweet Lenny/Dimples)! So glad you were able to get out and have some fun alone, it's important for you two to be able to do that! Enjoy your life!
I don't understand people who give a thumbs down to videos like this. Are they jealous because these two and their child are living their dreams and they are stuck in their cubicle job. How about this, get inspired to get up and pursue your dreams!?!
I found this channel like two weeks ago and I’ve been binge watching since! I totally love your family, is amazing how Lenny is soo well behave, def we are what our parents teach us! All my admiration for you both! Hugs and many kisses to Lenny from Colombia! Hope you guys can take a trip around our gorgeous beaches! Keep inspiring us every day! Muah!
We have an 11 and 8 yr old. Both girls. Both started playing instruments at 3 and a half.... OMG everything happens so quickly, I think I'm watching your videos just to re live those baby days. Our first is named Isla. My gosh Lenny is cute. You guys are great parents. Give him every little experience you can. Don't underestimate what he will do, because he will probably surprise you.
Thank you guys for providing entertaining content! I’m finding myself watching these now on repeat with these ominous times. I’m grateful to have something light and entertaining to occupy my mind 👵🏻
I'm an aged bachelor with no kids. Not that i don't like kids... as long as they are someone else's and soon gone. (You pay for an attitude like this. I know... I know) BUT what i want to say is that when i watch that little geyser... geezer... that wee spouter of yours and i watch all of what his infant eyes and his mind and all of his senses are absorbing right from the start... well, i just think he's having one of thee most fortunate and blessed of childhoods imaginable.
great giving Lenny those swimming-floating lessons and socializing with the other cute babes. a vlogger from iceland once related how he was thrown to a pool as baby and it was an automatic response, floating or self-rescue. also, i've always been curious if learning to walk depended on being on land. guys, thank you for being you and living the life you aspire to. i always see your sense of community out there, helping others. great works. power on! bliss and blessings always!
Elayna... Tip for you... My kids always got ear infections during the summers bc they stayed in the pool all the time... The dr called it swimmers ear.. To prevent it from happening at all when ther got out of the shower b ath or pool i put 2 to 3 drops of an equal mixture 1 part alcohol 1 part peroxide. In fact the pharmacy sells a small bottle of swimmers ear already mix up. Just a tip for you.. Infantz are prone to ear infections at this age
YES Drew and Ellie Holcomb in the beginning! I’ve loved watching you all for years and I’ve listened to D+E for years! Mixing the things that make me happy is incredible. Love you all so much. Thanks for bringing sunshine and joy to this world
I only started watching your Videos and they really Inspire Me to choose You can do anything if you want it. I have Mental Health Problems and You give Me happiness at night when I am alone in a bed at night. Kind Regards Richard Voiello from Brighton in England. X
I recently found your channel and have been binge watching to get caught up! I have a son who will be turning 21 in a few weeks, he is a soldier in the army and is currently gone for the next 16 months. I will not get to see him on his birthday and miss him terribly. I really love watching you guys with Lenny, it reminds of all the fun, aggravating, adorable, frustrating and always loving things I went through when my son was brand new clear up until today! That’s right I still get all that with him now but I wouldn’t change a thing about him! Enjoy all the great memories you will make with that angel Lenny! And I can definitely promise that when your sleep deprived and frustrated, just one little look or a snuggle on the neck makes it all worth it! You guys are truly inspiring and I want to thank you! I lost my husband, my soulmate to cancer 3 years ago and to see the love, values, inspiration, amazing human beings you are truly touches my heart and makes me truly smile! Hopefully I will be back on my own two feet again because I would love to become a crew member! God bless and watch over your beautiful family!
Actually that feeling of being on someones boat who you don't know always does feel creepy..even if you are helping out, and shouldn't feel bad about it at all. Then they usually come running out to accuse of you of stealing, lol, when you did the right thing. Seeing the little guy get his water legs..and wings, was magical ;)
I enjoy watching your videos. Great job. Brings back memories of my life living on a sailboat in the Caribbean. With that said, it also makes me grateful for all the comforts of a land lover now. Sweet people you are and Lenny is pure happiness. Thank you for spreading your joy.
I've enjoyed following you guys around the world, but it really warms my heart to see you enjoying my home base islands. The Bahamas are a special place. PS: Lenny has to be the happiest baby on earth
Haven’t been to Hopetown in ten years. Got to get back! I was a lifeguard at a pool that taught babies to swim. It was cool watching them swim before they could walk. Enjoyed your video!
Such a lucky baby to have such cool parents! I wouldn’t mind being a nanny for a family like yours. Just the adventure would be payment enough! Have fun in Annapolis!
I am so exited I live in Annapolis and was wondering when u guys were coming (excuse my cluelessness I looked up when the boat show is going to be and couldn’t find it) thanks if u guys see this love u!
Awesome video, as always. You guys are so inspiring! And I agree with the others about feeling tranquillity and peace from watching. I love how you always help others when you can! And Lenny-O. M. G. I found myself smiling at my phone as if I were actually holding a baby!!!! Amazing videography and editing and I guess it helps to have such a happy subject!!!! My daughters are 12&13 and I wish I would have taught them swimming that young. They can swim now but For YEARS, I was a nervous wreck with them around any water. I was too afraid to dunk them when they were babies. 😔 Keep doing what you’re doing! I hope your videos never end! I get so happy when the notifications of a new video arrive! Looking forward to the next one! ✌️
Don't feel bad going on somebody else's boat to look for a line to replace yours. You were doing them a favor, and being a good Samaritan, you should never feel guilty for helping out.
@@longdongjohn4923 They needed a line to fix the mooring. They couldn't know which one on the boat in trouble was good enough, so Riley brought one that he knew was good enough for it. In the morning he went to get his line back now that he could see the other boat better.
Good job getting Lenny in the water. So important. My son at 5 beat a long pool of strong adult swimmers, and then i beat him!😉😊Diving deep when they get older is also a great skill.Take good care.we get some mighty weather here as well.A big one is coming into gulf next few days.the town beside me is fattened from last hurricane.
And God bless babysitters! It’s nice to get away for a bit, and Lenny got to play with some humans his own size. Riley you must be getting really expert at filleting the fish! What a wonderfully entertaining episode.
So awesome seeing Lenny loving the water and swim lessons . He sure takes after you both with his smile and love of the sea water . What a fun video . Love seeing you two free diving and fishing . That turtle was great , just love them since I was a kid . Keep up the awesome videos you three . Your the best . From Steve stott in sutherlin Oregon u.s.a.
Wow! I have been going to Abaco every summer for years and just realized I was staying at the Harbor Lodge while you guys were there. Cheers to an amazing place that desperately needs help. Love you guys
Lenny must be contagious. Every time he smiles, I do too.
Thank God for life. Nothing in the world more precious than babies.
You three are one of a kind, respectful to the ocean, sustainable, beautiful people and you are what the world needs in this day and age

I did it. I am finally a patron. Love your movies and how can you not just smile and laugh when Lenny is on screen. Can’t wait to see what’s next ...
More knot tying sequences please. That was mesmerising.
YES LOVE watching and learning!
I love your videos. I look to watching them all week. Lenny is the cutest, happiest baby ever. Keep doing what y’all are doing!
Thank you guys for providing entertaining content! I’m finding myself watching these now on repeat with these ominous times. I’m grateful to have something light and entertaining to occupy my mind 👵🏻
You 3 ROCK. Keep living free....
You guys are a breath of fresh air :) Lenny is such a cutie.
YES Drew and Ellie Holcomb in the beginning! I’ve loved watching you all for years and I’ve listened to D+E for years!
Mixing the things that make me happy is incredible.
Love you all so much. Thanks for bringing sunshine and joy to this world
You guys are so cute together! Thanks for sharing your life with us !! I enjoy every video and look forward to the next one ...Cheers !!
Most incredible family ever. Living a real dream
Time for a nice cup of coffee and a beautifully made video starring beautiful people! Thank you for all you do.
Been admiring your lifestyle since the beginning, love it!
You guys make me want to work out and stay in shape. Thanks.
Lenny is doing great, amazing how a new life changes everything, Great channel with alot of family content.
Always a smile watch your family and adventures. Thank you.
Lenny doing an Irish jig.......awesome!!
The life you are living looks amazing.
Love watching your videos ....Lenny is getting so big .he is so cute .love you guys
I am so exited I live in Annapolis and was wondering when u guys were coming (excuse my cluelessness I looked up when the boat show is going to be and couldn’t find it) thanks if u guys see this love u!
i saw that the show in annapolis is going to be in October! i am praying to be there as well!
This window into your lives is special to many.
Gracias for the sharing.
3:43 You both are so cute together, the unspoken love is amazing to witness !
Don't feel bad going on somebody else's boat to look for a line to replace yours. You were doing them a favor, and being a good Samaritan, you should never feel guilty for helping out.
Couldn't agree with Tim more, but I totally get what you mean about that.
I don't get what he did, and why he did it. Did he help them? and how?
As always lovely. You two are so lucky. I live your choice of music as well. Reminds me of my youth in the '60's. Good luck
Riley you are a true blue legend mate. Generous and always willing to put your time and effort into helping other yatchies 👌🏻
Love watching your videos, sailing looks like so much fun and exhausting as well ❤️ 🛥
So awesome seeing Lenny loving the water and swim lessons . He sure takes after you both with his smile and love of the sea water . What a fun video . Love seeing you two free diving and fishing .
