Greetings from portugal. Thanlbyou for your video. What an amazing piece of tech. Dji just killed competiotion again with this new rth, all the others can run after... this is revolutionary
People saying to do it with the mini 4 pro, forget it. This is a test with the Air 3S and it has LiDAR. (it also has the downward infrared ToF sensor, Don't forget about the six vision sensors two at the front, rear, and bottom) I think it's listed as omnidirectional obstacle sensing. Came out 2 weeks after I got the Air 3 ...FML
For those wanting to see if the air 3 or mini 4 pro can do this a TH-camr has uploaded a video showcasing if the mini 4 pro can do it and it failed it was gonna land on top of the house/garage
It worked great for me, you use the Hotspot on your mobile, open wifi in your controller and select your Hotspot. Om the drone itself you need to have a sim card.
I am unable to have my air 3s even come close to this. It will just stop and not do anything. I wonder if yours does so well because it’s also connected to 4G. What do you think?
Incredible. Do You sleep badly, heavy nightmares, to come up with this idea? Joking! Do You really feel You need this to function? So far, after 2 years and plenty of drone flying, I've never used RTH to bring the drone back. Several difficult take offs, and landings have passed, all manually controlled. Thumbs up for the idea.
Is it actually working out its way back or just retracing its steps? If you did a load more flying about in the garage before you went out, would it still work out the best way back? I’ve noticed on these tests, you fly out and come straight back. But what if you fly around randomly for ten minutes? Will it just retrace its steps or work out the best way back?
Impressive ! I guess it would also know to climb if you started the RTH with a building in the way ? I think "SmartRTH" disables the standard "altitude" setting..
You have two modes, optimal or preset. Preset it will go to your predefined RTH height before it will start to return. This might consume some battery. Then optimal it will start on the RTH right away but use the optimal route, if there are buildings in your way the lidar is suppose to detect it and go over the obstacle.
@@PerStianLars1 the lidar works at the day or only the night?i ask that because you say that ''if there are buildings in your way the lidar is suppose to detect it and go over the obstacle''...thanks
It's cheating 😂🤣 but still impressive even as it had some challenges in the end. It did find the way inside and up the stairs. Got problems with obstacle right below the drone, was actually a mirror that was the obstacle.
@@PerStianLars1 I’m genuinely impressed by how good it is. I have an Air 3, and probably don’t really need to upgrade but I’m envious of how good RTH and the new camera is.
The new camera.... Isn't that big upgrade. People praise it, and probably as a quality geek you would notice. For me as a regular pilot for fun, I don't really see the big difference in video or picture quality there is some, but it's probably few percent. The average viewer would not notice it if they where not told it's a different camera.
Still does not matter if the dongle is acticated, it find the way inside the garage door and up the stairs, i do not think i would have connection to the drone from inside a concrete bulding without the 4g.
Am I the only one thinks that is is absolutley insane?!?! No one dreamed about or even imagined that 5 years ago. ✨
No, me too. That feature so amazing
I love this feature, the air 3 could not fly inside the hotel balcony when we were going on holiday so I’m definitely saving up, so worth it

@@CrashOrganism that's so typical dji... And apple. I bought mine air 3 in June, air 3s was just a rumour. Hopefully it's a year or so until air4 😂🤣
came out only after 3 days after I bought the air 3. And I am sad! super sad!
Incredible......😍
I am planning to buy this one.
Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic! Arthur C Clarke
even with the hiccups this is still pretty damn impressive
Can't blame it, it's a very "messy" route with no clear path, lots of motorcycles.
Did you see the almost crash at takeoff, almost hit the ceiling but stopped a few inch before the ceiling 😂🤣

@@GuyPlayGame why? It can't do this... Air3s is the only drone with lidar.
How on earth do you have 24 satelites inside a building?

@PerStianLars1 thanks for the details. "preset" is probably the old RTH that wouldn't navigate back like what you're showing here?

why is there so many bikes on the first floor
Because i have a motorcycle store and workshop... this is our storage building.
No sound?
There is no microphone on the drone.. And it was just a short video so I did not bother adding modic that might would have been flagged by TH-cam.
But why in sport mode?
@@stupest because it would not let maneuver it inside the building with sensors on. Too close to obstacles.

It's not using sensors, it's using lidar. Following the same path home.
