And I was thinking it is capable of figuring out the shortest distance back.. if not, not sure if it’s the most efficient way back.. especially when RTH is engaged with low battery.. could you test that for us pls..
@@thesacvroom It seems to fly back in a straight line like standard RTH until the "final approach". Not sure how long that "final approach" is though...might depend on the complexity of the environment.
@@thesacvroom it does the RTH has several features put the one that uses LIDAR follows the path u flew. regular RTH has a Optimal mode which tries to find the shortest path and minimal height needed to return home, so it wont have to go 100 meters up before it can move.
Very impressive feature! I remember previous generation of DJI drones introduced the Smart RTH, what's the difference with newer DJI Air 3S Smart RTH? I can understand that Air 3S has LiDAR so it helps flying indoors, but any other diffrence apart from that?
@dronehubteam interesting. I tried to take off inside my house in bright conditions then flying the air 3s out the door in night time conditions. Rth brought the drone back to land on top of the roof of the house instead down through the door into the living room.
The second try is not recommended, someone did a test and it immediately crashed to tree branches (with no leaves on them) thats because in day light they claimed air 3s doesnt use the lidar, and the camera sensors coukdnt see thebtree branches !...
@irhuz8683 I too thought the same, but sadly after carefully checking dji website it clearly states lidar is strictly for low light environment, it kinda sucks, but we still have 360 camera sensors and excellent tracking capabilities
So it looks like it memorized the beginning of the flight to retrace its way back, smart
@@Peakabike yes … smart features ✌️

Very Nice background music... thank you.😊
Impresionant!
Chiar imi doresc 3S-ul.
E tare chestia asta ...
Wow that's an awesome feature.
Simply revolutionary
Nice one. Greatings from Hungary ;)
Thx ✌
@fly_video A videó végén voltak "zavaró" körülmények :D Ennyi mindenre figyeli :) 3:33 A pad, szemetes stb-re gondolok persze
Incredible
Wow, this is crazy.
awesome YeAAAAh
Very nice 👌
AMAZING❤❤❤
Please do this test with the dji mini 4 pro
nice
Amazing 👌
wow😮
Here in Greece costs more than 1500 euros but I think it's worth it 🙋🇬🇷
Here in Australia it is $2,100 but I think it is worth it

👏👏👏
So it is not just re-tracing it's flight
Great.. is this option available in dji Mini 4 pro??
No ... just for Air 3S ... i hope for the moment ...
So if i am having low battery warning, will it still follow the memorized path or follow the shortest distance back to home?
No ... in low battery come-back at short way!
Ïf take off point indoor is bright and outdoor is dark. Will it still be able to smart rth?
@@kaptajnsejersen6303 yes … because the LiDAR sensor can “see” in very low light

USA - How can we weaponise this?

@dronetheworld4k67 noooooo ... there's a vid of the 3S hitting some branches during broad day light. Maybe your vid explained the reason behind it 😢
Omg and I think we're referring to the same crash video too!!!!
@@irhuz8683 lol i guess we are probably...
Is this performed with or without the DJi Dongle 2 in the Air 3S?
Can my mini 4 pro do it too?
No lidar
Nice. Wonder how this compares with the air 3 rth
I don’t think the Air 3 has the smart RTH with enhanced precision.
Modemul 4G ......nu merge?
Ba da ... in a doua parte se vede ca e activat. Tocmai am facut un update si atunci iti cere sa-l dezactivezi!

But why would anyone want to do this is the question. Obviously not safe but yes makes for fun video.
@@AtortAerials it has LIDAR sensor, so it's definitely safe when it comes to obstacle avoidance
Extra ordinary, I should've waited for this instead of buying Mini 4 Pro🥲
mini 4 pro is a very good drone ✌️
