Don't know how I missed this video earlier. I'm also a fan of Chris's and think I've seen Moonstone on one of his videos. What a gorgeous place! My accommodation when I visit Koh Samui in about 6 weeks will be somewhat more modest but I'll definitely put Moonstone on my "when I win the lottery " list.

This wasn’t a show off video and as he said it was a win win. Getting $20 night rooms scooting around on a motorbike in Thailand has its moments and tiring.
This game is called Shuffleboard! The sand you are talking about is wax which helps the stones slide more easily along the board. The more wax on the surface, the faster the stones will slide along the surface. I think it was developed following the game of curling which is done on ice.

Loved the content, video was great and thrilled you got to stay there for a few days with your friends. The place is absolutely stunning. However, my assumption would be that prob 99% of your viewers will never be able to afford to stay there either now or in the future. I’m for you being able to promote a place and colab with other creators but IMO I think if u can do that in places where your audience can actually look into and afford to stay when we get there it would be a much more impactful video not only for you but for the property you are promoting. Not to take anything away we love u and love that u got to enjoy but strategically I think it would be better to try to trade services for some more affordable places that your audience can relate to. After all your channel started with the premise of traveling Thai on a modest budget so u can see how and over the top luxury accommodation doesn’t fit the overall narrative or niche you set out. Now can it be possible that a few of your viewers do book at moon stone…absolutely but again I’d say the majority of your viewers won’t. Keep making great videos we love it and u and the info U share your a great storyteller, personality and you tuber so keep it up and look forward to the next one and I’m sure you’d be able to find some modest mid to high end places on a more affordable path that would love to accommodate you in exchange for a vlog tour and we would love to see that as well. I know I would!

Loved the content, video was great and thrilled you got to stay there for a few days with your friends. The place is absolutely stunning. However, my assumption would be that prob 99% of your viewers will never be able to afford to stay there either now or in the future. I’m for you being able to promote a place and colab with other creators but IMO I think if u can do that in places where your audience can actually look into and afford to stay when we get there it would be a much more impactful video not only for you but for the property you are promoting. Not to take anything away we love u and love that u got to enjoy but strategically I think it would be better to try to trade services for some more affordable places that your audience can relate to. After all your channel started with the premise of traveling Thai on a modest budget so u can see how and over the top luxury accommodation doesn’t fit the overall narrative or niche you set out. Now can it be possible that a few of your viewers do book at moon stone…absolutely but again I’d say the majority of your viewers won’t. Keep making great videos we love it and u and the info U share your a great storyteller, personality and you tuber so keep it up and look forward to the next one and I’m sure you’d be able to find some modest mid to high end places on a more affordable path that would love to accommodate you in exchange for a vlog tour and we would love to see that as well. I know I would!

As far as I understand they have at least 2 large villas with 5 or 6 bedrooms.

Paddy - the name of the game is table hockey and yes, it is a Canadian game.
The owner of the place must be a Maple Leaf fan, because the sweaters on the wall are the top players for the Leaf’s in Toronto my Home town.
And of course, we Americans have to screw it up and call it a shuffleboard table.
That’s not table hockey, that’s shuffleboard. Table hockey has air blasted up from under the table top so that the puck floats on the board.
