I think I would have pulled the wires through each separate conduit and and the elbows before glueing them. But it's easy to watch and be a smarty pants after the event. It's good to see the boys getting stuck in and helping.
It’s wonderful to see your sons helping & learning. And they aren’t into this “I don’t want video’s because I want privacy “ nonsense. Good job Sam & Angela!!!
I homeschooled my own kids and they are now homeschooling their kids. I'm rubbing my hands together gleefully, thinking of all the math, reading, and writing lessons that can come along with all the practical learning they are doing while actually doing the project! I could take all day just writing up those lesson ideas!
for a minute there, thought this was the previous power feed cable bury...yeh, for my money, always feed one piece of conduit at a time and then glue afterwards. last time i pulled wires through conduit, my conduit was smaller than it should have been, so it was a real chore pulling two 10/3 wires through a 1 1/2" pipe. Great work, Sam. Love seeing you teaching your boys how a man works. Hate to think you might someday run out of home improvement projects and good stuff to video.
I always look forward to your videos. I'll be glad to watch Angela cooking again. Hope the boys are fine . I hope I have some good fruit on my 2 trees this year....yum
I agree with Angela about the gloves but I thought it was pretty smart for you to use the board to pull the string through. That was a hard job and you all did great.
For future reference, they make a cable lube which can make pulling wires through conduit much easier. I also leave the bends off the conduit until after the pull and just slide them over the ends, which also makes the pull easier. Lastly, and this is surely not electrician approved (except my electrican didn't seem to mind on our 450 ft pull), I got on my UTV and used it to do the majority of pulling the wire through the conduit. Lol. The pull took like 30 seconds and was easy peasey.
Awesome video guys !!!!!! Thanks for the information on the solar job , good thing is you have helpers and equipment for help !!!!!😊 God bless you all 🙏
Great Job! 🙂And Angela saying 'needs gloves' may well save the next person who will be installing their own solar wiring. We can all learn from each other. Thank you 🙂
Angela said, " needs gloves". 😁😂 It's amazing to see how much Elijah and Issac have grown!!! Elijah is getting so tall and trim. Tfs! 👋 I love you all! ✌️💖🙏🙌🕊️🇺🇲🤜
Here is a suggestion at the pool, why not add a T Junction to allow more wire to be feed in. Look at a solar canopy for the pool for shade and protection
One suggestion, anytime you have conduit coming up from the ground and attached to a solid structure use a slip joint. I made the same mistake hooking up my well house and shop and didn't use them and it pushed the breaker box off the pole when the soil expanded and contracted.
You can use wire pulling lubricant, it works very well. You have done a great job on your projects we enjoy watching all of the progress , you guys have come a long way! 😀
Thank you for your videos. You guys are truly amazing. I have watched you from the beginning and I can easily tell you that I am a senior. can’t stop watching you. Please continue to and God bless you and all your end. You are a true inspiration and what I love the most is you don’t cover your mistakes most people edit And finish to look like it’s perfect. You guys are the real deal. Thank you so much.
When I was younger I put an HVAC system in an old farm house. I cut all the holes in the floor for the second story. And the holes in the ceiling for the first floor. The guy I was working with said we would use the cat method to get the runs pulled. He tied a string around the cats neck and tempted it with food at the other end. The ln we just pulled the flex duct through the space. 👍👍
Be glad you used the 2 inch conduit trying to pull it through 1 and and 1/2 would have been a nightmare you would not have wanted. If you need to this again remember pull it through the conduit first. You can even do it above ground. But make sure you decide if you want to pull it through the elbows or not, you can pull it slide down the elbow and glue it. Good work. Nice to see you working with your boys.
When you're attaching a bunch of wires to your pull string, stagger the ends so that when it gets to a bend it will start with a single wire bending then add one wire at a time instead of forcing the whole bundle to bend at once. Also I was going to mention not to use mason string because it will cut right through the pipe in addition to cutting your hands up (unless you wear gloves like Angela said)
Been there, done that. Only difference was I used flexible conduit so I laid it out straight, pulled the wires through and then dropped it in the trench. It made fishing the wires though a bit easier. Great job though and looking forward to the next episode.
I’m so impressed with your boys ! Elijah so tall and hard eager worker ; Isaac learning alongside ❤❤ Sam - PUT SOME SUN SCREEN ON PLEASE. I’m about to have my 2nd excision of skin cancer… basal cell and melanoma. This is no joke . 😫
Good job! A bottle of Cheap dish soap poured on the wire as it goes into the conduit would help the wire slide. Dollar store hack! I admire your drive!
Spray silicone on your end and your bends there at the end, will help in slide easier. Or dust powder down in them. That's a lot of wires to pull at once! It'll be so nice to have it all safely in conduit! And the boys are big help now!
Haaa ya Sam ya need gloves! But wow you guys have great timing on your videos! I’m down to the last few major items on my shop build . This weekend Im making the power connection from my main panel at the house to the new work shop and have to run conduit so you bet a I’m going to try that shop vac bag trick! That was the coolest hack ever! So thanks a lot!
I think the boys stole the show.. Oh no, has Issac sent you a bill for his services. It was a good work day with your family even though it was a lot of work that's what you guys do best. Find a way to get it done. Enjoy those boys and have some good memories. Your videos will be come Home Movies for them to watch when they have kids. Another good video ..
Good job ..... I've pulled thousands of yards of wire over the years , one thing I didn't see you using is wire lubricant, it would have made it 10 times easier to pull ..... 😆 🤣
I have had to do electrical before and it was over 200 ft and it was with a 200 amp wire which is probably what you use I found out the first day stick the wire in as you glue it you can go ahead and put the pipe together then take it apart as you are gluing the pipe put the wire in
I just pulled 4 4-0 wires through 2 1/2" conduit over 100'. I used the winch on my side-by-side to pull the wire. I didn't see you put CAUTION tape over the wire and conduit? Supposed to be 1' below ground level. Helps to warn someone in the future that might be digging so they don't hit the wires. Thanks for the video
Been there and done that, a real pain for sure. I used larger conduit and it still hung up, so had to pull half way thru and split the connection, finish pulling and then made the connection up, worked but a long day project, looking good by the way, best wishes, jb
You must be very glad you had to buy 2" conduit. The smaller would have been impossible to pull. This may be your last project like this but in the future run smallest rope/string first. Use it to pull the larger one. That was a butt buster for sure. You had great help!!!!
Love the project. Just a heads up the fill for direct bury trenches is supposed to be considered "clean fill" with no rocks or debris in it so the cable shouldn't get damaged
A blessed family that works great together!
Great job youngsters. DAD is teaching you to be REAL MEN.
This is amazing! These young men are learning what it takes to make a living for their families! So proud for you and Angela! Love your channel!
I think I would have pulled the wires through each separate conduit and and the elbows before glueing them. But it's easy to watch and be a smarty pants after the event. It's good to see the boys getting stuck in and helping.
That wire fit through that conduit like a glove. Like the one you won't wearin.
Like the one angie said you needed.
Wire pulling lubricant would make the pull much easier

It makes my heart so happy to see the boys right along side of you helping!😊
Angela said needs gloves😂 awesome watching the boys learning the ropes from dad. Good video ❤
Still funny. Popcorn. I get it. Lol. How's the garden? Any cooking lately, Angela?
Angela said, " needs gloves". Great Family love the work ethic. Keep it up.

I agree with Angela about the gloves but I thought it was pretty smart for you to use the board to pull the string through. That was a hard job and you all did great.
Your sons are great helpers so nice.
The boy's are growing up so fast. It's good that you are teaching them things they can learn in their future year's.😊

You got 2 strong young helpers there. The next few years are gonna be where a lot of memories are made. Nice work.
cable lube is worth the extra few bucks on multiple wire pulls
Was coming to say the same thing.. Lots of folks say use Dawn dish soap, but you're better off just buying the real deal and using that.
Awesome video guys !!!!!! Thanks for the information on the solar job , good thing is you have helpers and equipment for help !!!!!😊 God bless you all 🙏
Most people would not use conduit to do the job. So glad to see you do it right the first time(quoting Mike Holmes lol). Your boys are awesome helpers
A can of Pen-Lube helps a lot with reducing that friction, especially when it comes to running corners. 😊👍
You have a couple of hard working, willing young men there! Good job boys helping out dad.
Great Job! 🙂And Angela saying 'needs gloves' may well save the next person who will be installing their own solar wiring. We can all learn from each other. Thank you 🙂
"Angela said, 'need gloves'"...Lol. The boys were such a big help with this project! Love watching Sam and the eldest together on the tractors.
love that you are including your children in your projects. thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
SO GREAT to see your boys working together with you !!!
The trick with the "balloon" and shop vac was excellent. I wondered how you were going to do that!
Angela said, " needs gloves". 😁😂
It's amazing to see how much Elijah and Issac have grown!!!
Elijah is getting so tall and trim.
Tfs! 👋
I love you all!
✌️💖🙏🙌🕊️🇺🇲🤜
Love your videos and enjoy watching them. May the lord bless and protect you and your family and the working on the homestead and pulling the wire
+1 for that rapid rope stuff. Fantastic for an emergency, but pricey for general use.
I love how the whole family came together to do this project!
You'll have a awesome little solar Installing crew before long.😊 Great job have a blessed week.
Thanks, you too!
Great to see the boys working with you. Learning skills, and using critical thinking that they teach in pu license school.

Your ideas are always so helpful! You are becoming more self sufficient that is a great thing!!
Spring is here and so is the pink tan hee hee. Guys best get that ole sunscreen on. I love watching this stuff
You can use wire pulling lubricant, it works very well. You have done a great job on your projects we enjoy watching all of the progress , you guys have come a long way! 😀
Great job Sam and the boy's
Angela said, you need gloves.
Great video, don’t know how I missed it when you 1st posted it.
Sam, you are THE MAN!!!!!! And never forget it!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Momma said “ Sam, you need gloves “.

Take care👋🏼
Angela's right...use gloves, Sam! Great job on this project!

Looking good, can't wait til you're off grid!
I thought you were going to lose that line, I was ready for that string to snap. Gloves, who would have thought? Good tip Angela.
1988 Palm Harbor single wide! YES i missed this lol.
PS Angela was 100% right on using gloves to pull the string through :)
You people are so amazing. God bless you and the boys. ❤
Your kids are precious. Amazing job raising them right. Love your channel and always look forward to the next adventure with yall.
This was an interesting video and it was wonderful seeing your boys help. They are going to be very knowledgeable like dad.😊
14:57 good idea, I love it ❤
You could also use some dish soap to lube the pull cables
Great helpers😊
Been there, done that. Only difference was I used flexible conduit so I laid it out straight, pulled the wires through and then dropped it in the trench. It made fishing the wires though a bit easier. Great job though and looking forward to the next episode.
Just bless you, Sam! The Lord gave you Angela!
I would also add a tracer wire as well

This is no joke . 😫
Always use a metal 90 on the end you pull to. This will prevent the pull rope from cutting into the pipe fitting.
Good job! A bottle of Cheap dish soap poured on the wire as it goes into the conduit would help the wire slide. Dollar store hack! I admire your drive!
Wires fit like a glove, Angela says needed gloves😊
The boys were such a big help today. BTW.....Angela was right. Lol....were was your gloves?

Great team work.
I love watching how your family all works together on these projects! You do some very impressive work!
Thank you very much!
Great job folks, love seeing the boys helping and learning along the way ❤
They sell longer 90s called sweep 90s. Makes wire pulling easier

That is going to really be awesome. To not have to send money to electric company. Creating your own power right there. Great job
Nice work. Just ran electrical from my workshop this week. Much shorter distance (about 12"), but it was a major pain.
Y'all are getting things done again. Keep it up and y'all will be done in no time.
So awesome. The feral children are getting so big now. Nice they wanna learn how to do stuff.😃👍😁
Good afternoon Sam and Angela in your 1988 single wide etc etc
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ lol I was shouting "COME ON WIRE! COME ON WIRE! YAYYYYYYYYY🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌😁 Hey who needs gloves when you got a good board👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Good job ..... I've pulled thousands of yards of wire over the years , one thing I didn't see you using is wire lubricant, it would have made it 10 times easier to pull ..... 😆 🤣

very impressive job watching the Boys helping
this is the stuff memories and job skills are made from 👍😅

Actually you got lucky pulling that wire.... thought for sure it would break the string...💥💥💥

Where I live there are under ground animals that will eat on the cables so, we have to put them in PVC even buried rated wires
Nice to hv helpers, thx goodness for ur two boys.
