4:10 it looks similar to a Maurice amey begonia we get them in often at the garden shop I work at (Indiana, USA) or at least a very similar variety. There are sooo many begonias that look nearly identical. Begonias are great fun but even the most rare ones randomly pop up from time to time they aren’t as gate kept as aroids. Seriously a super underrated plant, they bloom often and the flowers are cute, the foliage is always stunning. Which is what I love about em bc typically when it comes to house plants if the flowers are beautiful and bloom frequently the foliage is bland (ie. orchids and African violets) and if the foliage is beautiful they rarely flower and the flower is boring (aroids and prayer plants). Which is why I love Hoya and the odd begonia bc they are the exception, they are the only ones who will give you a decent lil flower and stunning foliage. 🤷♀️ but that may just be me.
I can just like imagine Ben like slowly chuckling in the corner being like Plan Begonia accomplished🕶 That’s reminded How’s the cissus doing? 😂 We need an update 😂
I also never liked begonias...until I saw Begonia Fireworks. My heart stopped a beat and I instantly fell in love. Some of them are truly spectacular. And I'm not a Begonia person. But beauty has to be admired 😊 The beauty in plants is the endless variety - I still get sometimes surprised that something as beautiful even exists for real😊
The second begonia is begonia soli-mutata variegated. You could easily propagate this species from leaf cuttings, so you'd probably enrich the variegation using materials taken from the most variegated leaf.
I know theyre common as muck but i love the begonia maculata...they look like something from Alice in Wonderland! Also i got a diddy begonia nigrans in a rescue box and that too is weird and wonderful! No t no shade, but some begonias are just fabulous! Not the sh*tty mass produced bedding ones though....
Hey Kaylee, Loved the video💚 I’m not much of a begonia person either but the first one in the video looks to me like a “begonia fibrous” pink mink” because of the speckled pattern. The begonia brevirimosa has more of a striped pattern. It’s beautiful whatever it may be😊
In German we differentiate articles in genders (like in many languages), so all things have a gender and plants have as well. According to that, e.g. Philodendrons are a "he", but Monsteras, Anthurium, Alocasia, Calathea and Begonia are a "she". I think most plants are she, but as the philodendron translates to "tree friend" from latin and "friend" in German is a male word, I think he is a he. A male friend sort of.
Yes, it is absolutely 'Maurice Amey', a cane type hybridized by the amazing Don Miller at Ft. Worth, Texas. The botanical garden there holds the national collection of begonias and with notice you can arrange a tour. 'Maurice Amey' is named after a man BTW, so a he. Many, many begonias have pictures and info on the International Begonia Database. No begonias are toxic to cats. I had a high of 6 living with begonias of all types. 2nd begonia a a species. It is soli-mutata var.
Thanks. I love my begonia "Maurice Amey". I grow begonias on my porch and I'm going to collect seeds this year and hopefully there will be some nice hybrids. What's your favorite begonia?
The 1st Philodendron was so cool with the near black leaves & the red back. It's crazy to see how tiny the pot is vs the plant/leaf size on that Monstera Mint.
3 days 'til kittens!! So excited for you and your fur babies. My friend just found a litter in her garage, and has been taunting me with cute kitten photos. And I feel you on the begonias. That happened to me recently with syngonium 🙃
For the raphidophorda tetrasperma, pop it in the bottom of your living wall and each new node will put out roots. It looks like a trailing plant rather than a climbing one and the long roots mean it wants more substrate
If your haus panthers are plant munchers, put a sacrificial plant (e.g. spider plant) next to your begonia so if/when munching occurs it's usually just to get hiiigh for kitty. That said, I've got a lot of non-cat safe plants in the house and my mouser just has a munch as a greeting to them and then leaves them be. Just accept that Begonias are lovely and you know you want a 6ft tall cane angel wing one in your house :)
Just love your begonias and monsteras. I just received an order from Tropical plant sales all are so beautiful. Got a white knight from a big box store and it has awesome variegation. Always love your videos. Hope your back is feeling better.
I love that begonia. I have one similar that has silver in it that I got from Trader Joe’s. I just saw the pink princess for the first time in Lowe’s in south in US. I’m like we are so late.
That white monster is so cool! I haven't ever seen or heard of it before but it is very interesting that it almost hardens off to look sorta like a thai! I wonder how stable the variegation is and so on. I hope you can update on that one over time!
Oh Kaylee was just thinking about you looking for interesting easy care plants for your home that like high light. Hoya are all pet safe ❤ and as a cat mom of 3 well trained furbabies who have had their fill of Hoya vines lol...hope you are well and loving your time with your new kittens...all the best
I would be super interested in the 2nd begonia as is! Depending on price of course, being in the US I need to account for express shipping for its best chance. Im obsessed w a good alien plant (bright green and black plants I call alien boys, unless it’s a cutting I call em et babies)😂
I have several begonias, all of which have been chewed on by my cats, and no one’s dead yet lol always good to be careful though. Plus they’re not quite as pretty gnawed 😂 I don’t let mine anywhere near my dumbcane.
Chop and prop that RT varagata!! I would love one, and you can always keep the mother for when your kitties are older and have learned to stay away from your plants.
Fuzzy petiole gave me the ick in the beginning, however, Verrucosum changed my mind on that. If you can accept a little fuzz then you can accept a lot of fuzz.
Yes white monsters have the first couple leaves completely white. Pretty sure that’s how they got their name. Most of them die off and then it starts shooting the variegation that fades to mostly green. I saw a TH-cam about it 😅
Mmmm that P. squamicaule blood is DIVINE. Again. I love the original, I love fuzzy plants and I love this one the most! I hope one day it makes it to Aus.
I'd just cut the long roots to a more manageable length, air dry the cut tips (cure-like in succulent cuttings) before planting it. Hi kaylee luv your content 🥰 stay blessed.
The back of this red Begonia is AMAZING ! I don't know if you have some pure moodeanum in stock, especially mature ones, but I would love to see a comparison between a moodeanum and Misterious Dark Boy =) Great video as usual, thanks a lot Kaylee ;)
Just so you know, as long as your cats don’t mess with the plants, you can put them in the house. And honestly, the worst I’ve ever seen is someone’s cat getting some oral irritation or stomach upset. It’s really not a big deal and the cat won’t touch it after that. I have several cats and dogs by the way. I really only check if it’s clear that the plant is HIGHLY toxic. Then I just keep it out of reach. And if your cats just like chewing on plants like it’s grass, just grow a small patch of grass and that’ll set them straight. Not a big deal.
I have a question about philodendron Ring of fire. Most websites say always most but not wet with a humidity of 30 to 60 but then others say let dry out and keep the humidity, minimum of 60%. What gives? Thanks!
I bought the first begonia you showed under the name of "miss mummy" but with further research it seems to be sold under the name "benigo pink". Hope it helps to identity it !
It’s squamicaule blood and I have one and it hates me! I’m totally jealous of yours! I’ve had it in high light it hated it moved it to low light now it don’t grow at all, had it in arioid mix then moved to tree fern fiber mixed with perlite. I don’t know what it wants!! Help!! Care video for this plant please!!!
Rhaphidaphora Tetrasperma v put some cuttings in shop please, I would love a cutting the variegation is stunning. not a begonia fan myself I killed mine.
I'm sure you've already thought of that or maybe someone already suggested it, but why not bring whatever plants you'd like and make a greenhouse cabinet with your favorites? There's plenty of ideas online from IKEA cabinets. Cats won't be able to get in those and it's higher humidity for plants :)
4:10 it looks similar to a Maurice amey begonia we get them in often at the garden shop I work at (Indiana, USA) or at least a very similar variety. Kaylee pulled her back so hard she started liking begonias. Now I'm really getting scared it was a horrible injury 😢 (joke but get well soon 😀)
😂🤣😅😍🥰hope she feels better
😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
6:31 Begonia Maurice Amey but like super sun stressed maybe? Angel wing begonias are beautiful. I collect angel wing begonias, so I feel you.
I can just like imagine Ben like slowly chuckling in the corner being like Plan Begonia accomplished🕶
That’s reminded
How’s the cissus doing? 😂
We need an update 😂
It's probably growing great in the landfill it's in now, hahaha
I also never liked begonias...until I saw Begonia Fireworks. My heart stopped a beat and I instantly fell in love. Some of them are truly spectacular. And I'm not a Begonia person. But beauty has to be admired 😊 The beauty in plants is the endless variety - I still get sometimes surprised that something as beautiful even exists for real😊
"...but, ahm I really like her..." and sees oneself out.
Just: ❤ Your whole vibe today, just: ❤
The second begonia is begonia soli-mutata variegated. You could easily propagate this species from leaf cuttings, so you'd probably enrich the variegation using materials taken from the most variegated leaf.
Seeing you get all giddy over the first begonia was really cute. It's nice to see someone truly express their joy in something.
Begonia Maurice Amey, I love it too🩷
I know theyre common as muck but i love the begonia maculata...they look like something from Alice in Wonderland!
Also i got a diddy begonia nigrans in a rescue box and that too is weird and wonderful!
No t no shade, but some begonias are just fabulous! Not the sh*tty mass produced bedding ones though....
"Is it like a little pet?" Cracked me right up 😂 I actually have a Squami "Pink" coming to me (I think it's the same) and I'm sooooo excited! 🤩
First Begonia looks like a Maurice Amy exposed to bright light, but that's why I'm unsure, cuz they can vary so much depending on light lol.
100% the hybrid cane 'Maurice Amey'
You could definitely do a begonia in a terrarium so the cats couldn't get to it!
I loooooove fuzzy stems, my squamiferum is one of my favorites, definitely wanting that squamicaule now 😍
Hey Kaylee, Loved the video💚 I’m not much of a begonia person either but the first one in the video looks to me like a “begonia fibrous” pink mink” because of the speckled pattern. The begonia brevirimosa has more of a striped pattern. It’s beautiful whatever it may be😊

Very interesting :) thanks for sharing
We have same genders for them in Czech like in German, only Anthurium is "it" 🙂
The pink begonia was a Maurice Amey haha
YES
I have that begonia as Maurice Amey. The pink varies with conditions. It's fast and heat tolerant.
Yes, it is absolutely 'Maurice Amey', a cane type hybridized by the amazing Don Miller at Ft. Worth, Texas. I bought a few weirdo begonias, and now that they’ve grown I’m so in love with them. They’re filling my cabinets now.
The monsteras and the variegated rhaphidophora...❣️
For the raphidophorda tetrasperma, pop it in the bottom of your living wall and each new node will put out roots. It looks like a trailing plant rather than a climbing one and the long roots mean it wants more substrate
I LOVE begonias! I'm so glad to see one in your shop!
I've never been into begonias but that one is beautiful!
the second begonia is a soli-mutata, one of my favourite begonias ❤ honestly would buy
I have fallen in love with begonias - amazing leaves ❤❤
If your haus panthers are plant munchers, put a sacrificial plant (e.g. spider plant) next to your begonia so if/when munching occurs it's usually just to get hiiigh for kitty. Breathtaking Rhaphidophora! The Monstera Mint, those leaves. Great video, loved the whole thing.
That var RT is hands down the most gorgeous one I've ever seen 😍 I'm also not a begonia gal and I totally see why you love that pink one!
Begonia brevirimosa I believe
Ive always loved begonias but i raise the ones outside. I grew a massive dragon wing begonia and it was one of the most beautiful plants i ever grew
That is a THICK flower on the luxurians
I love that begonia. I have one similar that has silver in it that I got from Trader Joe’s. I just saw the pink princess for the first time in Lowe’s in south in US. I’m like we are so late.
Of course all the variegated monstera are gorgeous but I really liked that dark fuzzy stem guy a lot!
Omfg! That variegated raphi is absolutely STUNNING!!! I'd kill to have it! 😅
That white monster is so cool! I haven't ever seen or heard of it before but it is very interesting that it almost hardens off to look sorta like a thai! I wonder how stable the variegation is and so on. I hope you can update on that one over time!
Love a fuzzy srem!
I dig the fuzzy petioles. They're cute.
I just grow things. I want that on a T shirt
Begonias are so beautiful!
I would be super interested in the 2nd begonia as is! Depending on price of course, being in the US I need to account for express shipping for its best chance. Im obsessed w a good alien plant (bright green and black plants I call alien boys, unless it’s a cutting I call em et babies)😂

I love fuzzy stems
philodendron squamicaule blood looks like how you would shave half way in winter because "nobody is going to see it anyway"
Begonia Maurice Amey, I think! I gasped when I first saw it in person because it really is that pink!
The variegated begonia is B.soli-murata. I love variegation on begonias because it is almost always a cute pink color.
The pink begonia is begonia miss mummy, she’s a favorite for sure!
All your plant are beautiful 😍 i love watch you all you show i love
I personally like the Squamicaule, it is a really pretty plant 🤩
I agree! Love that RT variegation 😍

The whole begonia section is giving such chaotic energy 😂
Mmmm that P. squamicaule blood is DIVINE. Again. I love the original, I love fuzzy plants and I love this one the most! I hope one day it makes it to Aus.
I'd just cut the long roots to a more manageable length, air dry the cut tips (cure-like in succulent cuttings) before planting it. Hi kaylee luv your content 🥰 stay blessed.
Love the update! The tetrasperma is beautiful!
I think the variegated begonia is a begonia soli-mutata. Never kept it myself, but it looks very similar to what you have.
Pink Mink! So gorgeous, the camera can’t capture the sparkle! I wish mine would have thrived, begonias are not my friends😮!
Love the fuzz!
Kaylee, I have a Philodendron Squamicaule Pink and IM OBSESSED with her!!!! She’s in my top 3 fav plants that I have in the house. 🪴💚
Looove the creepy fuzzy ones. Freaks me out but good.
I think it’s begonia Maurice Amey.
It was beautiful
YES
Oh my God the anthurium luxirium (sp?) I love it ❤
I CANT WHEN YOU SAID CRIMINAL OFFENSE SIDE EYE 😭😭😭😭
Lol ive not been a begonia fan either, but in the past 2 years, ive ended up with a few! Cant say i dont luke em anymore! Lol.
I love how your only lady plant is Maurice Amey 🥰
The back of this red Begonia is AMAZING !
I don't know if you have some pure moodeanum in stock, especially mature ones, but I would love to see a comparison between a moodeanum and Misterious Dark Boy =)
Great video as usual, thanks a lot Kaylee ;)

I’ve started luving begonias too!!! Lol!!😮😳🤯
B E A U T I F U L ALL OF THEM. B❤❤🌱❤️🌱❤️ Thank You
That philodendron is very pretty with the fuzzy limbs and dark leaves.
The Red Begonia is a 'Miss Mummy'.
I want that begonia!!!!
As my cats have aged they seem to “get used to” the plants and now they ignore them
I have a question about philodendron Ring of fire. Most websites say always most but not wet with a humidity of 30 to 60 but then others say let dry out and keep the humidity, minimum of 60%. What gives? Thanks!
I have a deep red begonia similar to the first one. My husband says it looks like it’s made of meat. Lol
That is a Begonia Brevirimosa, I have that too, I usually don't like begonia, but that one grew on me too.
Not breviramosa. It looks more striped and requires high humidity.
The pink one looks like my begonia miss mummy! 1 of the only 2 begonias I like lol 😂
Hahahaha, painkiller talk. Wait till next video and it will be “WTF was I thinking?” Hahahaha
They begonias are delicious 😩😍
I really enjoy your videos.
I bought the first begonia you showed under the name of "miss mummy" but with further research it seems to be sold under the name "benigo pink". Hope it helps to identity it !

i agree with you, mine just died after a week that i got it. the leaves dropped one by one and got super droopy and the roots rotted,,,
9:00 Looks like it rubbed against wet paint was my first thought.
I am laughing so hard my cheeks hurt lol
I ❤ the first plant the philodendron!!!
Funny I was just thinking this morning I should get a begonia for my cloche that everything else dies in….
I believe the pink one is Begonia Brevirimosa
Noooo. That is striped, green and fuschia. This is Maurice Amey.
I wonder if Kaylee is on some really good pain meds to make her like a Begonia?!? 🤣 It is stunning!
Your pink begonia looks very similar to Begonia Maurice Amey. Maybe you wanna check this out.
100% it is. Grown in very high light.
Im here smiling looking at Kaylee 3:58 yes ahaaa❤❤❤❤
9:00 is a begonia solimutata variegated i have the non variegated one ❤❤❤
Rhaphidaphora Tetrasperma v put some cuttings in shop please, I would love a cutting the variegation is stunning. not a begonia fan myself I killed mine.
How much for that beautiful variegated one? Interested!
ooh, variegated Begonia 'Soli Mutata'? I really like my regular 'Soli Mutata'!
