I would love to see a follow up that shows the details of the load-outs that were discussed for individual equipment. Also, a demonstration of some of the techniques would be great; ruck load, how to set up hammock, how to wear your kit, etc.

Awesome tips on fieldcraft. Spent 3 years in 25th ID and went to jungle school in Hawaii. This podcast has some great nuggets of truth that dont seem to make it down to the squad level. Please do more fieldcraft & loadout based podcasts. Great stuff!

Crazy how the locals have adapted so well. Barefoot, no clothes, making almost every tool that they need.

I think a desert operations episode would be great companion to this one.

Phd Grad student was doing a two week research project in the rain forest she peed on a tree project got scrapped because that was the marking tree of the local Jaguar. Sid Jaguar stalked the team two weeks chasing them out. 8 years schooling 5 years of work got thrown away because of where she took a piss and she is not allowed back because of fear the Jaguar getting territorial all over again.

Awesome content, just the kind of historical knowledge we need to maintain and get out to the force.

Amazing how quickly I went from "I don't think this is going to be that great" to "wow, naturally I don't know shit from shampoo."
Thanks for the info everyone. My suck doesn't seem to suck as bad as that shit. That sounds miserable.

Manuel_Snoreaga I suspect that is how most feel about P&S in general.

Primary & Secondary one listen and I was hooked. Just like reading the fb posts and on the forums, I never seem to have anything to contribute to the conversation but the wealth of knowledge available is unimaginable. I appreciate what you guys do.

with regards to the comments made about jungle camo, it's funny i remember reading about the u.s. army in vietnam, that the government spent nearly a billion dollars and they also hired in dye specialists, colour scientists etc etc to look at the problem of jungle cam. When the research was finished after all that time and money they concluded that the best camo scheme was......... plain old o.d. green!!!!!!

ranger green is the best uniform color especially for prepared citizens. ranger green gear and uniforms. could be police military or paramilitary. it looks professional and serious not rag tag goon boy.

the jungle/heavy forest is a nasty mf. Look at hunters. If you can hide from an animal you can hide from a human. technology like drones and thermal is a different discussion as mentioned.
