Mel! :-)
White dwarf 123 was not a long time ago 😂 In 1990 I had left school 15 years before and that was two years before even White Dwarf 1 was published in 1977. I was building airfix kits in the 1960’s, that wasn’t even a long time ago!! My grandmother was born in 1898, three years before Queen Victoria died, now that was a long time ago 👍🇬🇧♥️
Love Mel's work!
True about it being something absorbing for the young reader. Didn't even need a usb! A good issue. For me, the highlights were the Battle report and the Epic (Space Marine) armour.
My first issue was the release of a new game called 'Warhammer 40,000'. I remember thinking at the time: "This will never take off".
I think Brian Ansel thought the same think mate
Oh mate, yeah.
Thanks for watching mate
With things like wargaming and GW being well, a whole new thing in theory to the modern electronic world. It's cool to see a "retro" scene for Warhammer that is maybe, just maybe building interest for young newbies too?
Time will tell. GW is definitely going after the retro market with Old World.
it does surprise me to see younger generations of table top gamers interested in the older stuff more than the new stuff or with the same level of interest maybe, but yes, GW are cashing in on the 90's crowd atm for sure
