Haha yeah. There are some people in my school (ICSE) too who speak in all those fake accents. they think too highly of themselves and feel like they mastered English. I mean it isn't an American OR a British accent they just stress certain words and suddenly they have a vERy mODerN acCent. They just embarrass themselves and don't even get 80+ in literature OR grammar exams🤦♂️🤷♀️

I studied BOTH- ICSE till class 10th and 11-12 CBSE. Both the boards are so different in approach and education. I loved Merchant of Venice and it set my life long love for literature.
Hehe. This is funny. I studied both boards but ICSE is way more than just English, we studied topo maps, computing languages like java and had a very elaborate science curriculum too..CBSE has a relatively concise syllabus that is more objective. I guess both the boards are unique in their own ways
As a kid who shifted back to India after staying in the US my whole life, and has an accent, and goes to an ICSE board school, this is exactly how my friends have explained CBSE board.
Us ICSE students know how good it is for practical knowledge. Sure, it is stressful to study many subjects, but its always fun and useful to learn out of the box and informative aspects! Merchant of Venice is taught for two years (one book is taught for 9th and 10th in continuation), so it won't feel like much of a pressure. I am truly a literature lover myself, and drama in school has helped me be better and know better. I am leaving the school this year and its the saddest thing. Being able to learn drama, taking part in so many co-curricular activities, History/Civics and Geography, Economic Applications, (since I'm opting science for further studies) and most importantly being able to write our own answers is just a shortened list of things I'll truly miss! ICSE always wins!
the ones who try to speak with unpracticed accent thinking they look smart but just end up making a fool of themselves by mixing both american and british english are the worst ones. im from icse and i have seen this one too many times
I was in ICSE till my 10th and then shifted to CBSE for classes 11 and 12 ....and yeahh I could see a huge contrast in both learning process and curriculum ..am not gonna elaborate everything or discriminate ...but ICSE always wins for me for sure !!♥️

Same, even though I can understand certain things, I don't think ICSE is that very much superior in standard., I think have studied in both ICSC and WBCHSE . I can clearly state that the latter is much better!

It depends on the student if they want to focus on a few select subjects or take up everything with equal interest. No board gives and will never give special importance to any particular subject.

I am in ICSE but just for a 1 day...like tomorrow is my last board exam and i m gonna join cbse.. ofcourse IIT ke liye cbse is going to help...but the thing is that... ICSE teaches us everything from the very beginning..like same thing from the very small age which makes it habitual and we really don't feel any burden...and that's not the case in CBSE..like they teach them everything at once...for example trigonometry...we have been doing that since class 9th and that's why it's actually not a burden..but in cbse they have trigo in class 10th and everything seems long and complex...even in chemistry...we have done balancing and atomic no. And stuffs like these from class 7th and 8th but in cbse they have these things from class 9th...and therefore they take time to understand such simple things which we have been doing from such a small class Well both are good in their own way ICSE is best to make a strong base And CBSE is best for IIT and NEET

Like my English teacher would choose random students and ask them to stand in front of the class and read it out loud for everyone and for this specific drama that went on and on till everyone in our classroom got a Chance to read at least once cuz this drama was very imp for our board exam & also because she wanted to give a Chance to every student

Shakespeare ki likhi huyi stories aur drama padhne ke liye ICSE board se belong hona jaruri nahi h, you can read them from anywhere (Library) . BTW we also had Julius Caesar in our class 10.
Bro cbse students had Julius Caesar, Gulliver's travel, Hellen Keller, Centerville Ghost, Invisible Man, etc which also contained equal strong English in it. So both the boards are equally strong in this subject {English}

I studied in CBSE. But I think every child should have access to ICSE. Not because of High Society Standards. But because ICSE trains the child to be way forward from their competition. Their benchmarks are very high which CBSE or State cannot match. Any point of time they are 2-3 years ahead in curriculum. I have seen the success rates of ICSE students.

As a CBSE kid I would 100% agree that the standard of English curriculum in CBSE is abysmally low. I realize this because I love reading novels and classic literature. And so when he returns the villagers and basically everyone tries to get him married and the whole story resolves around ranga changing his mind from the fact that the Western courting tradition is better than just marrying right away to alright fair I'll get married to the girl you choose for me. *The only thing that irked me however*, the girl is literally 11 fucking years old lmao. And that is not even some plot twists. They just mention her age like 'yeah, she's 11 years old and very shy' like WTF. but thankfully this story is the only standout lol. I'm not sure if I'm able to explain properly so you might just read it yourself and cringe in person.
@𝖆𝖑𝖎𝖆 however, don't base your decision of transferring to CBSE on this alone. CBSE is obviously better for career, college and competitive exams prospects. It's only english that you'll compromise on a little, and 12th CBSE English and poems are good enough and not as bad as 11th so dw. You can always compensate for english by reading novels and other literature. CBSE science and mathematics is by no means an understatement! And I'm not even a science student, I'm from the commerce stream but Good luck! :)
@𝖆𝖑𝖎𝖆 man I'm in the same boat! It's not really my decision tho, my folks want me to. My father is a CA, so they think I should be one too. I might just drop out after intermediate idk. I'm worried about the same thing: less passing percentage and possibility of wasting years and years. I'm not even passionate about Accountancy. About your question: your board doesn't matter in CA. It doesn't even require that you do your 11th and 12th from commerce stream. But if you do choose commerce stream, when you apply for the internship (the 3 year internship period) in big 4s they do consider your 12th percentage. So if you're sure that you want to do CA you might as well continue with ICSE board. In any case, if you've just passed your 10th then I hope you choose mathematics as your optional subject! Very important. I made the mistake not to. Best of luck :)

I am in ICSE but just for a 1 day...like tomorrow is my last board exam and i m gonna join cbse.. ofcourse IIT ke liye cbse is going to help...but the thing is that... ICSE teaches us everything from the very beginning..like same thing from the very small age which makes it habitual and we really don't feel any burden...and that's not the case in CBSE..like they teach them everything at once...for example trigonometry...we have been doing that since class 9th and that's why it's actually not a burden..but in cbse they have trigo in class 10th and everything seems long and complex...even in chemistry...we have done balancing and atomic no. And stuffs like these from class 7th and 8th but in cbse they have these things from class 9th...and therefore they take time to understand such simple things which we have been doing from such a small class

I never regretted being an icse student... Even studying 12 subjects seemed fun then... My cbse sister on the other hand had drawings and stories in her math book until 8th grade...

I studied in CBSE. But I think every child should have access to ICSE. Not because of High Society Standards. But because ICSE trains the child to be way forward from their competition. Their benchmarks are very high which CBSE or State cannot match. Any point of time they are 2-3 years ahead in curriculum. I have seen the success rates of ICSE students.

As a CBSE kid I would 100% agree that the standard of English curriculum in CBSE is abysmally low. I realize this because I love reading novels and classic literature.
Like imagine being an ICSE kid transferring to CBSE in 10th grade and you go from deciphering Shakespeare to reading ranga's marriage? WTF. Gives me second hand embarrassment and it's hilarious. And so when he returns the villagers and basically everyone tries to get him married and the whole story resolves around ranga changing his mind from the fact that the Western courting tradition is better than just marrying right away to alright fair I'll get married to the girl you choose for me.
*The only thing that irked me however*, the girl is literally 11 fucking years old lmao. And that is not even some plot twists. They just mention her age like 'yeah, she's 11 years old and very shy' like WTF. but thankfully this story is the only standout lol.
I'm not sure if I'm able to explain properly so you might just read it yourself and cringe in person.

CBSE is obviously better for career, college and competitive exams prospects. It's only english that you'll compromise on a little, and 12th CBSE English and poems are good enough and not as bad as 11th so dw. You can always compensate for english by reading novels and other literature.
CBSE science and mathematics is by no means an understatement! And I'm not even a science student, I'm from the commerce stream but Good luck! :)

About your question: your board doesn't matter in CA. It doesn't even require that you do your 11th and 12th from commerce stream. But if you do choose commerce stream, when you apply for the internship (the 3 year internship period) in big 4s they do consider your 12th percentage. So if you're sure that you want to do CA you might as well continue with ICSE board.
In any case, if you've just passed your 10th then I hope you choose mathematics as your optional subject! Very important. I made the mistake not to. Best of luck :)
