I would like to present the case of my family here, until my grandfather's generation all women in our family used to be housewife with little to no education. My great grandfather ie my maternal grandmother's father though himself an illiterate man decided to educate my grandmother. She was the first girl in her village to graduate with a high school degree, and she got married only after completing 18 years of age. I know this sounds too early but 8 decades ago this was late already. As both of my maternal grandparents were educated they naturally encouraged my mother to excel in studies. She also became the first women in the family to earn a technical degree and work overseas in the West in countries like US and the UK. In the early years of their marriage my mother earned more than my father, but this was never a sense of insecurity for him as he too hailed from a financially weak yet culturally vibrant background. Naturally, this exponentially improved the fiscal and social condition of our family. Today, most of my cousins and myself are double degree graduates in the STEM field, and though being a boy, I'd be keeping up with the family tradition and become the first person to pursue active research and PhD in cutting edge technology in an esteemed American university. My family could never have developed the financial muscle or the rational insight to give me opportunities that I have today, had the women in family were not as educated as the men and given the opportunity to earn financial freedom. Hitchens was right then and right now, as always.
I have a very good friend of mine who was forced by his family to marry his cousin. It has been years and he is so unhappy with his marriage, he says he can't leave his wife because the family states the entire family will be upset. I feel very sorry for him.

Prophet Mohammed sallahu alaihi wasallam PBUH created beautiful system of 4 wives, countless laundis, innumerable children, mutah, misyar, burka, hijab, hudud etc for an extremely healthy and progressive family system in the society.
family system is natural and good but not the joint family system. every member of the family should participate his roll instead of gaining maximum power. the core of the problem is we are not trained how to play role in the family positively.
Sir I agree mostly on your content. But every system have their pros and cons. I am living in Germany for a long time. Here they don't have any family system because of this mostly old guys are alone. They don't have anyone who can take care of them. In Pakistan family system is good because everyone can support each other. If everyone is educated and know their limits this system will be very affective.
Completely agree with you, this Joint family system can be improved with education and some sincerety among family members. But Muzammil knows only to criticize and malign. When it comes to giving solutions, he will straight away present you Secularism, western family system etc.
the problem is that you need RULES in order to have a good joined family. And it is not easy to make RULES that will be followed by several generations simultaneously because several generations usually have different needs and dealbreakers. The best system in my opinion is one separate house for each generation BUT located in circle so that you can see eachother daily and help eachother in what you can.
logon ki zalalat koi bhi system ko barbad kr sakti hy.. log acahy hon tou yahi system bht acha hy. bht si aisi misalen dekhi hen. asal masla yahan taleem aur shaoor ka hy..
Yes Syed Mujamil , education employment for women is the only answer for upliftment in male dominated society. The only state in India is Kerala where women highly educated ,healthy and employed in different sectors and politically concious.
This joint family system is common in many feudal patriarchal cultures. In Eastern countries such as Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, North Korea such arrangements still exist. I have even seen Vietnamese dramas where Mother In Laws slap their daughter in laws and the husbands don’t do anything. Also mother in laws demand that they have a son asap and get annoyed if the first born is a daughter. In Communist countries too, grandparents used to live with their children after marriage. The main reason why the joint family system is undesirable is because of friction. The further you keep your distance, the lesser friction there will be. It’s like two hands rubbing each other. If you keep rubbing them, there will be more friction, but if you keep them away, there will be less friction.
I was once arguing with my friend on honor killings and he asked me, "Agar tmhari behn kisi larkay saath sex karay tw tu kya karay ga?", I said kuch bhi nai, it's her life, she can do what she want, ye sun kr uski ankhein phat gaein, mu khul gaya, wo hairan kun hogaya. Tb mein ny usy kaha ky ye kesa ghatiya aur galeez maashara hai jahan pr log behno ka qatal na krnay pr hairan hoty hein.
Tell him that murdering people is the most vile and shameful thing. You have no right to take somebody’s life, and you as a brother are not your sisters owner. She is not your slave nor your property.
Honor killing tu sirf tribal areas ya zehni mareez type logo main hoti hai. Verna aam tor per zina kerne wali larkiyon ko ghar walay bardasht hi kerte dekhay hain.
Hamaray family system may toxicity ka ye level hai k beti ka rishta na dene pr betay k maa baap apnay sagay behen bhaio se apna saga rishta apna taalluq khatm kr lete hai

Good! Separation keeps the friction minimal
Bitter truth Muzammil bhai.
You are showing the real face of our society.
Wonderful summation. At root is the religious dogma that rules our families aided by compulsory mis education.
Sad reality of our society 💔

A topic so close to my heart and mind.
Jnb kindly provide us solutions also of issues . Because they are important
his solutions would be Secularism and western culture. He is just too predictable.

Hmmm goooooddddd.....
We have another story, we have tribal system for family, Clan & Shazra System.
No love & affection exist.
Every male is to asserted to be Ferociously Hard & cunning for survival in society.
Weak have no place.
Tenger Wolf is their ideal.

Prophet Mohammed sallahu alaihi wasallam PBUH created beautiful system of 4 wives, countless laundis, innumerable children, mutah, misyar, burka, hijab, hudud etc for an extremely healthy and progressive family system in the society.

We do not realise these issues unless someone educates us. Thank you.
family system is natural and good but not the joint family system. every member of the family should participate his roll instead of gaining maximum power. the core of the problem is we are not trained how to play role in the family positively.
Every single word is on point
You are opening many dark curtains 🔥 thank you. May Universe bless you 🙏

Bahut khoob!
U city nd kitni % family he ESI yaha joint system he.
Rightly said
Well said. Stay blessed.
You r right upto some extent but I suggest aap non Muslim phlispher k ilawa hazrat Muhammad (saw) ko b study karain un ki example b dain
Right
This joint family system is common in many feudal patriarchal cultures.
Tb mein ny usy kaha ky ye kesa ghatiya aur galeez maashara hai jahan pr log behno ka qatal na krnay pr hairan hoty hein.
ap nay mujhy bhi heeran krdia:)
Iss muashrey mein aap ko log 'beghairat' bolain gey...
Conscience level bohat ajeeb hai logo ka 👀
Tell him that murdering people is the most vile and shameful thing. You have no right to take somebody’s life, and you as a brother are not your sisters owner. She is not your slave nor your property.
Honor killing tu sirf tribal areas ya zehni mareez type logo main hoti hai. Verna aam tor per zina kerne wali larkiyon ko ghar walay bardasht hi kerte dekhay hain.

Its not about religion. Its about mentality
Wounderful
You are absolutely correct
I grew up in North American not even once I heard them say we will continue having children until we get a son, so idiotic idea.
Because North America is financialy more secure than Pakistan. Pakistanis need sons to be able to make them money and keep them financially secure.
