Hi everybody, in this video, I will try to explain why we chose to buy the 2020 Nissan Terra over other mainstream midsize SUVs such as Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Montero Sport. I will give some personal insights on what to expect when owning a 2020 Nissan Terra. I will also compare the Terra, Montero, and Fortuner in specific aspects. Only the Terra equipped with zero gravity seat and lumbar support which enable the driver not to feel tired while driving especially on long distance travel..already tested Manila to Mindanao driving for Terra is just excellent and with most safety measures available than the other suv's
I bought the Terra VL and pretty happy with it, previously had a Volvo XC90 in the UK. Terra handles well and has tons of spaces plus looks and feels solid.
Our choices before was Terra/Montero/Fortuner
Ended up buying the rear drum brake with bushing issue💪 joke!
Very satisfied and no regrets turning 20kms now

Bro what i have noticed on the terra when i encounter them on the street, the side mirrors look very small compared to the other suv which has very large ones. Makes the terra look awkward at most angle whenever u notice the side mirrors. Also the rear brakes are still drum which is a no no for alot of people but aside from that, it has great features.
I think you are right.. I think all this time, even now, my attention goes to the Really cool Side mirror blinkers, 360 camera, blind spot warning even before I notice the awkwardness... 🙄 am I crazy?...😭

Four things that the terra need to upgrade:
1. Rear break. It should be disc
2. Rock and pinion madaling masira
3. Engine noise sobrang lakas parang makina sa tubigan
4. Panaromic roof

I would pick the 2020 Montero sport Gt 4x4 premium looking elegant and premium interior and lots of safety features and front and rear disc brake plus sun roof, hands free tailgate and intrument cluster. While the the 2 other suv's don't have that specs
Fortuner is one the best SUV...very comfortable to ride

360 camera is for noob drivers, im driving since i was on my teen age years thats why i prefer sensors rather than 360 camers..

Here in USA Nissan a nice car only the huge Issues is transmission is suck CVT. Montero still d best for me.
Terra is not Cvt,its conventional torque converter 7 speed.

Chester Freud Dimaano hi, terra is beautiful. But when spare parts breaks its annoying that the parts comes from japan and very desperate to wait for a long time. With my terra i complained of the sound in the breaks. For the whole day the technicians cannot detect whats up. For 3 days i come and go to the sevice center. On the last day they broke the VDC so another order for japan again. Terra actually isvery fragile bec. its new. Technicians should be trained and schooled. Right now my sensors are malfunctioning and i have to wait till february again. So disgusting!

Concepcion Feliciano all brands have long waiting period when it comes to parts replacement. 1month and longer for waiting time when if its still in warranty, if out of warranty parts there are plenty in banawe or wrecked yards
There is no free 3 year PMS.. it is 3 years warranty. I just had mg 10k km PMS. I paid almost 8.5k pesos.
For middle to upper middle class families, buying an suv is a huge investment. Therefore you should go for the one that will not give you too much head ache because the nissans are not built tough. Neither is ford haha. Only toyota holds that title. All these bells and whistles will not matter when your nissan engine or transmission starts breaking down.

Yung tito ko na may Fortuner and has always been a Toyota guy all his life na try idrive yung Terra namin. Can only tell you how much he envied the Terra. According to him parang night and day yung comfort and driving feel. Pakiramdam nya raw parang nag drive sya ng old truck nung dinrive nya ulit yung Fortuner nya. Ganon kalayo yung difference sa comfort. So to say that you should always go for toughness is just plain wrong. It’s always best to go for bang for the buck and value for money. Yung masasabi mong worth it yung purchase mo. Aanhin mo yung most reliable vehicle if you’re missing out on features, comfort and most importantly enjoyment on your million peso drive. Hindi naman nagkaka-layo sa reliability yan eh, old mantra na yang kasabihan na Toyota lang ang matibay. I know you cant teach old dogs a new trick but try to live and get out of your comfort zone. Only then you’ll realize what you’re missing out.

It was simple. I never experienced the Everest in my life. Next time, please allow me to. Hoping for dealerships to cooperate more, this year.

Drum brake advantages
Drum brakes can provide more braking force than an equal diameter disc brake.
Drum brakes last longer because drum brakes have increased friction contact area than a disc.
Drum brakes are cheaper to manufacture than disc brakes.
Rear drum brakes generate lower heat.

Need your honest opinion - I'm VERY torn between 2019 Terra VL (used) @1.2m and the Geely Azkarra (bnew). Which one should I pick without considering number of passengers since obviously Terra wins that part.

Yours must be the V variant Fortuner. It is a sweet car indeed. Toyota Fortuner will always be reliable.
Are there front sensors in Nissan Terra 4x2 VL 2020? Also hope they placed a hand holder on the driver side, installed GPS and have a power 150w outlet at the rear seats. Cheers!

Ford Eversest is all over the other SUV with lots of safety features. The ride is very comfortable among other SUV.

if you find a good deal, you can get 3 year free pms. Fortuner is a bone stock compared with Terra. But interior wise, Fortuner can take the win. But.. I like Terra, more.
Still struggling. Why the automatic tail gate in the didn't come in the terra? And it's called Xterra in my country and it comes 4 cylinder gasoline and the montero has 6 and the fortuner comes in both. But the most expensive is the Toyota
Why can't the nissan change the noise into smooth one? Why the nissan engineer cant fix the terra rack and pinion? Why the nissan engineer can change the rear break from drum to disc?
I began to look for montero or everest which i previously like terra. Hope nissan could change those simple things before i could buy other brand.
Even the interior, nothing is special about the interior compared to everest and montero.

Yes, I find it much better looking than the 2019 version. Honestly, those parts are easy to be upgraded outside the dealership and even carbon fiber stickers can do wonders 😀

For me, if same variants in the gls variant, I would go for Terra.
Fortuner V 2.8 for me, because it has a 2.8 engine, 4WD selector, VSC etc... And also the Terra VL 4x4 because of the HU with navigation.

I love 2.3 twin turbo engine for thailand model ,the best in class diesel engine ,my wife love rear consoleair condition , I also have hilux 2.8 4x4 and old model 3.0 d4d 4x4 fortuner , nissan terra has more torque and less fuel consumption and more space ,leg room than fortuner

Oh, I really enjoy driving the Fortuner in ECO, NORMAL, POWER modes. So quiet and so fast. Almost like a gasoline car.

The big issue of Nissan Terra is Rack in Pinion
For me, Fortuner still wins in terms of sales. But lose to the Terra and Montero Sport in terms of features.

it depends on your budget, promo, discount, variant, and etc. Fortuner will always be that great Fortuner. It is a great SUV! 👍

@@haroldabear8817 May I ask what is your budget? Kasi your budget should be about 2.2M if you want to get the top variants on both. 5 years resale value I would give my vote to Nissan. Reliabilty of psrts I would also give to Nissan but warranty wise, I will vote for Hyundai 5 year warranty.

I have not experienced that with my unit. I hope you can take it back to the dealer for a thorough check-up. The handle of Terra is quite heavy and I like it.

I have not sat in the middle 2nd row yet.. honestly, I try not to sit in the middle because it always suck with or without headrest...😭 Let me follow up on that soon.

I think the cash discount for the top variant of terra is 200k.

@@SoJooCars it's cheap around 1.2 million pesos , have a cool features like sunroof, 360 camera with built-in dash cam, nice interiors ala Mazda 3, auto parking system etc, that you can have it on other car brands for over 1.5 million pesos and I heard it's using volvo engine since they have partnership with volvo (not sure about that part) go check it out other TH-camrs already tried it

SoJooCars i saw some video about nissan terra having a problem in its bushings being too soft thats why it wiggles too much. And it breaks too often thats why they replacing it with harder bushings. Have u seen it?

so montero tends to overheat fast? hmm i dont know if i should get fortuner, terra or montero huhu helpp
because of aluminum cylinder block which is prone to overheat.
