If you're having trouble with the flowers not being tight, don't be afraid to pull tight on the slip stitch. Before you pull the loop through, after picking up the 8th loop, give it a good tug and then pull it through the second loop. Then you'll have nice, tight flowers with no big gaps. Hope that helps someone.
I’m very new at Crocheting so this is really interesting to watch, I’ve done a lot of knitting in the past though never crocheting. This is actually the first project that I’m 100% committing to, because you actually gave clear instruction unlike a lot of other channels I’ve looked at
I used your pattern a long time ago on a blanket my cats pulled the stitches out on but decided to come back and use it for a cardigan. I got mixed up with another lady on youtube doing the same stitch with the same colored yarn and i was thinking 'I don't ever remember it being this difficult'. Fast forward through a few minutes of searching and i found your tutorial. Thank God! You have THE BEST video for this stitch on youtube. Thank you for not over complicating things or confusing me!
Just some constructive feedback as I was following this tutorial: I struggled with where to put the hook for the chain of puff stitches: after searching around, I think it is in between the single crochet stitch and not the chain; it was just confusing because you didn’t specify. I wish you had specified your yarn and hook size: I had to play around and frog a few times until I got a size I wanted but I would have liked a base idea to start from. I would have liked to see how the end of your first row looked but your hand was covering it at that part of the video. It took me a minute to realize that it’s no different than the other daisy stitches but the last puff of the stitch is built into the first chain rather than a single crochet space. Overall I really liked your video and it helped teach me this stitch, thank you!
Oh, thank you for this! I assumed that the I would pull through the ch1 and so the holes were too big and I could not figure out why until I saw this comment. Thanks again! And yes, the video was still very helpful!
Thank you! I was looking for an interesting stitch for a baby blanket. I consider myself an adventurous beginner at crochet, but it's so much easier to watch a video than follow a pattern! Once I figured out each three-part stitch makes half of a flower, it was easy to visualize and go for it. Using the Super Bulky Bernat Blanket yarn and an N hook I only have to pull through twice for each puff stitch (total of four loops on the hook instead of 8). It looks like it will take 4 or 5 skeins to make a baby blanket which is not bad at all when bulky yarn goes so fast! Great video, thanks for sharing!
Actually a lot more difficult than it sounds. Spent half the day on it and am giving up for now. Maybe after more practice I’ll come back. I was so excited to try it.
Also I thought that this looked good, and then thought ooh boy... but thank you for making this super easy to follow. I'm making a baby blanket, but putting squares of different stitches into one. So thank you very much. Stay safe everyone!!😁💚
Yay! I made it. It wasn’t easy at the beginning but did not give up until I got it. Thank you so much for sharing this tutorial. I just love this stitch
OMG!!! I wish I had seen your video first. It "so much" easier and so much simplier than the first video that I saw and took notes. You are so much easier to follow, and you're instructions make so much more sense. With "you're instructions"!! I feel that yes I can make this pattern after all. And.... I won't end up crying or giving up with you easy to follow instructions. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! I MEAN REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This pattern is so nice 🥺🥺 but it would be best if you could explain it more detailed and maybe give us some tips. Besides that, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING, made some mistakes along the way but still made it look pretty towards the end 💕
Someone might’ve said this, but if you’re having trouble holding the 8th stitch for the base- put a stick marker. So if it gets sucked in you can pull it on out.
This us beautiful. I could tell this was going to take up a lot of yarn and then like 3 mins in when she said "I'm making a king sized blanket" I was like this is fabulous, but honey that's some hard work ahead, good luck and bless. Props to you hun!🤯😁💚
I hear ya on that! I've been watching her and a few others labeled "beginner" but even after watching and watching as well as trying and trying over and over I'm about to give up at least for now. It seems every "teacher" has a little bit different stitch with varying numbers of loops to pick up. I have found it extremely hard to keep control of all the loops when I'm trying to join them and loosing the 8th stitch when I try to pull through. This is something that will require hours and hours of practice, at least for me, as well as maybe I need to find someone who will show me in person so I can ask questions and receive personalized instructions as I go. I'm sure eventually I can master it but I have seen many comments saying this stitch uses way to much yarn and any item made will be quiet expensive. It is pretty but I'm putting this stitch on the back burner for now.
If I was using thick chenille, how many loops do you think I would should do instead? And how would I change colours on a stick like this? I've made quite a few blankets, each way different from the last, all different stitches but I still feel like SUCH a beginner 😅
The puffs themselves don't look to difficult, but you weren't really clear where to put the stitches on the different rows, so your video ended up being quite confusing.
Hi, maybe I missed it, but can you please tell me which yarn you used and what's the size of this project and how much yarn it used? I have exact dimensions in mind so wanted to know. Thank you!
I wish we would’ve seen you done the next row, I got really lost when you moved onto the next row cause you kind of cut off there at the end. Otherwise really helpful video!
How do you keep the loops the same size when you're yarning over? I'll loop over and wiggle the hook like she showed, but when it's time to pull through all loops, some are tighter than others and I struggle to pull the hook through some.
Really good filming and well explained thanks except you don’t say where you made the second loop from is it the chain one you did or the st that closes the loop?
I'm following the instructions and it's coming along quite nicely but I'm having trouble with the end of the row, when I make the plain puff. The sides aren't coming out straight like in the video. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.
I can't wait to start this new stitch, thank you 😊 I wanted to ask, I didn't see you weave in your ends or talk about them, I assume you did when you were off camera?
Does the base have to be a multiple of three + one in order to do the second row? I was doing a practice square with 5 + 1 and and after i did the fist part of the second row i only had 2 left
I recently finished a lace weight silk/mohair scarf with J hook. It came out fantastic, unfortunately my daughter "appropriated" it as soon as she saw it. It's not puffy, but the stars make a very luxurious pattern.
I'm attempted to use this stitch to make a carseat cover for my nieces new baby and have now taken it apart and started over MULTIPLE times because each time I get to the end of my second row I have one lone puff stitch left so I cannot complete the daisy! I pylled apart back to the 1st row of puff stitches and removed one, started again and yet again left with one lone puff stitch at the end of the second row. So making the puff stitch to the length of whatever you're wanting does NOT work! Any suggestions?

I've been struggling with this stitch. My first row is great. Second row I have no earthly clue where to pull through. I came to the comments in hopes someone could help me out.
Did you figure it out? If you are working on the puff foundation row you just go into the stitch between the puffs. Each completed stitch makes half a flower, with three "petals" -- / \ so I've been going into the center of each flower in the previous row. My centers are a little gappy so it's easy to find
I've been wanting to make a blanket using this stitch. I think it'd be very warm. I also think it's a yarn hog, but worth it. You're making a queen-size blanket so my question is, using the yarn in the video, (I'm guessing it's a #4 weight) how many skeins did you buy of how many ounces? I want to make it twin-size and would want to buy the yarn I'd need, you know, to have them all in the same lot number. Thank you for this awesome stitch tutorial. I know my 94 yr old mom will love it.
@@StudioCrafti Ooo Ok. This will break my record yarn used in a blanket. I used 10 Caron cakes for a blanket. 🙂 Thank you. I'll start it in two weeks when it's my turn to care for my mom.
