  • Here's a quick tutorial on my new favorite stitch: The Jasmine Stitch! This stitch creates a thick, squishy fabric with a flower design. It uses up a lot of yarn but the final product is worth it!

    I saw your Short and instantly knew I wanted make a blanket. I’ve never crochet before, so I paused and played back at least 50 times but I finally got the hang of it. I might have spend my whole day today crocheting 3 rows 😂 Don’t know why I thought It was a good idea to do a 5 ft x 7 ft blanket 😅

      @@abe3870 😂😂 It went really well. At first. It took about 20 balls of yarn for about 5 x 2 ft and I did it in about two weeks. After that I had to wait for the store to get new yarn 😂 then life happened. I got into a new relationship, started a new job with 50h work week and haven’t touched it anymore basically. Tho I did do a few smaller projects that turned out beautifully ☺️

    I’ve seen a lot of people saying they struggled with tutorials for this stitch. I didn’t have the chance to struggle because I managed to stumble upon this tutorial first. Learned in a couple minutes and I’m now several rows into a pretty large blanket, which is going perfectly. Thank you so much for posting this 💕

      This is the I love this yarn from Hobby Lobby. There is a similar color way from Impeccable Yarns at Michaels. Once you determine the size that you want your blanket to be, make your foundation chain that length. Have a tape measure on hand to make that pattern easy.

    • @yarnTh3ory

      You surely could! If you find the fabric to be too thick, you can reduce the number of yarn overs in each “petal” to create a thinner fabric.

    • @yarnTh3ory
      @yarnTh3ory  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on a few factors. The weight of yarn you are using and the size of blanket you are making. I suggest making a gauge swatch with your yarn of choice and then use that information to determine how much yarn you will need.

      No make the chain of foundation puffs the length you need. For instance, If I want my foundation chain to be 50 inches, I would continue adding to the chain until it is that length. You don’t have to worry about multiples.

      You would decrease with a 4 puff cluster.

    Dear miss, do you have more stitches which makes your work looks the same at the good and the backside? I really like this stitch, but i was wondering if there are more with this effect. Love from the Netherlands Violetta

      Hello! There are many stitches that look the same of both sides. I will just list a few:
      - The Arcade Stitch
      - V Double Crochet Stitch
      - The Shell Stitch
      - The Single Crochet Rib Stitch
      I don’t currently have any videos for these stitches but there are a ton of great tutorials on TH-cam for each one ♥️

    Mine constantly ends up getting gaps in it, does anyone know how to fix that?

    • @yarnTh3ory
      @yarnTh3ory  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Once you get more comfortable with this stitch touch should be able to minimize the gaps and have a more balanced tension.

    What a wonderfull stitch! How much yarn do you need?

    • @yarnTh3ory
      @yarnTh3ory  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I love it! The amount of yarn needed depends on what size project you plan to make. An easy way to do this is make a gauge swatch. Message me on Instagram and I can walk you through it ♥️

    I noticed that you keep saying that you close it with a slip stitch and then do a second slip stitch...but those are actually chain stitches, not slip stitches.
