(I've been crocheting for 52 years...and ive learned so much I just didn't know. Super expansion of my skill and knowledge base.

I literally just ran across your TH-cam by accident. It's funny that you say I must be a new crocheter. Truth be told, I have been yarning since I was 5 years old - we won't talk about how many years that is😊. But I wanted to reach out to say that you showed me things I didn't know! We -newbies and vets- can all learn new things and share with each other. I love going back to basics and creating what looks complicated when in fact it's a beginner stitch. I love crocheting. Probably because my grandmother taught me, and she's passed. When I crochet, I feel closer to her. Anyway, didn't mean to write a novel...lol ... I just wanted you to know that your sharing of your craft benefits us ALL! So glad I found you. I'm "HOOKED"!😊

I had been taught that the Alpine stitch is done with front post double-crochets. While I loved the look, I always struggled keeping the stitches even. Making it a treble-crochet solves that. I'm so happy to learn this.

I love this tutorial and your voice is so nice and comforting and while i was panicking a little with all the illegal stitches (what i call stitches that don’t go into the top of another stich) i did figure it out eventually and while it did feel like i was breaking all the rules i had just learned the results were beautiful so hey time for new rules i guess. Im only at stitch 3 since im doing these one at a time and then taking a break cause i really want to understand each one so i can alter and use them confidently in the future and im learning so much and you are explaining it so well thank you for this tutorial it is fantastic

I just started crocheting literally yesterday lol I’ve been a knitter for years so these are super helpful. My only feedback is, you’re a fast talker just like me 😂. Since this video is targeted for beginners, I would suggest that you slow down a tad while explaining how you’re working your stitches and slowing down the visual of you working your double and single stitches. Since, some of us just started, we might have trouble deciphering the stitches. Other than that, I really LOVE your channel and these stitches! ♥️♥️♥️

Toni, I love your videos and I am so glad I happened upon your channel! I have been crocheting since I was 12 (retired now) and I’m very good; but Toni, You r the Queen of crochet-I SALUTE YOU, MY SISTER!
A request please-when u are giving hook sizes, would you please give them in their US letter or number size as well! Whenever u give a hook size in mm, I have to Google the US size or rummage through my hooks stash and hunt for the relevant hook! For contemporary crocheters it’s probably second nature for them to convert so u may feel that giving both sizes is unnecessary but if u could, I would greatly appreciate it!
Also, Toni, I want to thank you for contemporizing my crochet life and the life of another retiree to whom I introduced ur channel!! Ty!
