If you're going to keep any goldfish as a pet I recommend at least a 10 gallon tank since they can grow up to about a foot in length being related to koi and all and even just one produces a lot more waste that a small filter can effectively handle" "Ok how about 7 goldfish" "What did I just say?" "What about 4 goldfish and a betta?" "You're not getting any goldfish for that size tank and I'll tell my coworkers to refuse the sale as well" Then insert them getting upset and threatening to talk to my manager, followed by my general manager also refusing them the sale for the same reason 😂
2 gallon TANK? xD that's the tiniest little toy ever. I'd recommend snails. Or better yet strip the "fishtank" and turn it into a fun little bug terrarium for the kid im sure they'd love little bugs as much as seeing 10 goldfish suffocating

..... You did a really brilliant job. Please give us updated. Not gonna lie I expect you running in some more problems. My goldfish 'Eugene' got nearly a foot long and got about 10years old.
You did super well with the tank set up! However, instead of grabbing the go, fish with your hands, and just tossing them straight in the tank you should have caught them in something like a net, or even better, a little container which could hold some water, then let the fish alchamate (sorry I don’t know the correct spelling), before allowing them to swim free in the tank, as, the stress of being chased and grabbed can easily kill a fish, while entering foreign water can also cause lethal amounts of stress for fish. One last thing, don’t forget to add a few spaces for the goldies to hide!
Not sure what kind of loaches you have but they love snails! With your 10 gallon tank if you get some snails that produce offspring and raise the offspring, there’s a perfect unlimited food source for them! Especially since snails reproduce so fast!
Pleacos get HUGE and have the same issue as goldfish. They would add a bunch of extra bioload to the system. Hill stream loachs were a great choice. a little Cold water tolerant, doesn't get big, fun to watch. The only downside is catching them again if you have to move. Little buggers will suction down to glass once they realize. I had to hold a net over mine and very gently pry a fin up with my finger nail to break suction until it gave up and tried to bolt. Even then, it was multiple attempts

You should've put shelves into the cabinet. Just need a few shelf holders and a length of wood that you can fit diagonally through the door then rest it flat on the holder.
Reminds me of my goldfish in my first uploaded TH-cam video. I rehomed them to a 250 gallon tank that someone off of CraigsList was happy to do. Hopefully there still around and thriving somewhere. Or at least there offspring are. They were at least 6 inches of length when I rehomed them. Great underrated creatures if you ask me.
I'm glad that you know that that's not the environment to for them. i got a betta from the store and he was in a tiny container but now he lives in a 25 gallon tank
For a while I had no idea how high maintenance goldfish were until a few years ago. We need fish shelters because of how mistreated they are and how misinformed people are about them.
My sister brought home a goldfish a year ago (despite me telling her NEVER to bring home a goldfish) and he’s been in this 5 gallon tank ever since. We’re trying to rehome him as we have literally no room for a bigger tank. I’ve had no say in the care of the fish and my parents don’t really care about fish so they haven’t done anything about it until now. It’s so frustrating and the fact that people are allowed to sell live animals to literal children is ridiculous. They’re such beautiful fish, but they are NOT beginner fish.
the colors in the tank look kind of dull and washed out to me, I think it might also be more brown algae your cleanup crew isn’t getting. I’d recommend turning down the light intensity and the amount of time you leave it on for, hopefully that’ll make the tank look even better than it already does. Great video btw, the normalization of goldfish in tiny bug tanks breaks my heart. I’m happy to see somebody spreading awareness and doing the right thing.
The Yo Yo loaches ate all the snails lol. I have loaches in my 40-gallon freshwater specifically to kill pest snails. I currently have a highly overstocked 10-gallon saltwater tank with two clownfish, two yellow coris wrasses, a melanarus wrasse, and 5 baby mollies. I don't know how the wrasses get along so well in such a small tank. They were causing problems in my 31 gallon reef tank so I had to move them.
I have a 300G turtle tub outside... I recently discovered that at least two comet goldfish had been dropped off by someone...!?! It's heavily planted, but I think there's only two...
I had a 60 gallon tank my brother gave me. What I did was milk crates and 2 2X12 planks. A week after I filled it we had a 7.2 earthquake. It moved maybe 2 inches. The only fish I had were a pacu , a Jack Dempsey and a baby whale. They got along fine. The filter I had was rated for 120 gallons as was the heater.
I have two goldfish growing in a 60L heavily planted tank and I'm going to build them a pond this spring. They are so messy even if they are still small 😅I can't wait to move them out of there
Instead of getting a tall fishtank get a shallow, but wide fishtank. That way it can be add on top of most tables because the weight is spread better, and goldfish tend to like shallow water, specially fancy goldfish. Other option, if you had enough room, is to buy one of those stock tanks for cattle and make a inside pond. You get more space for the fish for a cheaper price.
Your videos are so entertaining and professional that I was shocked when i watched all three of your videos qnd when I went to find more, that was it. Please keep up the good work! Thank you ❤
I’m adding snails with the gold fish and yoyos! Loaches eat snails … 13:16 “ can you tell what’s wrong with the tank” loaches eat snails … “ what the actual f happened to the snails?!” LOACHES EAT SNAILS 😭
Really high quality content but I will say it's a tank might be a little small for two of the single tail goldfish but honestly it should work for you based off your set up and it seems like the plants are grown enough that they should help remove a lot of the waste
Humm the tank is very close to the door... And the plants might end up being fresh food for the Goldfish. But the Yoyo loaches are the "culprits"? for the snail genocide.
I knew a guy who had 6 goldfish in little bowls only the size of one of the little green plastic ones you find at dollar store, he said that it usually lives 2 months and claims that's a completely normal long healthy life for a goldfish, he said I was trying to make him waste money and I'm dumb and Don't know anything about animals when I found out and told him they need bigger cages and enrichment and cleaning them more often also more types of food than flakes and that they have the ability to live more than 6 weeks without "super special care" aka feeding them a tiny bit more and cleaning them twice a month instead of once to make them last 2 months
My mom's psycho boss got rid of his fish tank because someone made a comment about getting water on his floor. He flushed them and laughing told me how they kept swimming back up and required extra "courtesy flushes." IDK why but that bugs me more than worse things I've heard.
I sort of got the question right (I guessed that there was a lot of algae instead of there being no snails), so for now I guess I'll just like the video :) great watch!!
BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR. Government agencies are trying to shut down the entire trade in small animals. We need to teach, not threaten with the big gun of government law.
How come you put Yoyo Loaches with Goldfish? I thought a Goldfish's best temperature was around 72 when a Loach prefers 78, outside of the Goldfish's range?
@ fish get stressed out when people are moving in front of tank, also if it’s cold outside when you open a door fish tanks shouldn’t be to close to hot or cold source as it effects water temperature. Also avoid placing fish tank to a direct sunlight as it helps create algae’s faster.
I just bought a pleco. my reasons? Turtle tank was looking a little bland so and i wanted a fish they wouldnt eat Its going on day 12 and the fish was 4 inches last time measured him...he looks mucg bigger now and the turtles havnt even tried to touch him I did the research before hand tho. I know how big they get, how long they live for, how messy they are and i have a plan for the size thing Him and turtles are being held in a 40gal tank right now but once they get bigger im gonna move them into a 300 gallon tub that i see people keep big fish in. And once i get my own placr im gonna build a fish pond
True, that was a sucky move but he's a way better fish keeper than others I've seen, like those keychains with the live fish inside, I don't understand how people can be that cruel
@@phrooooooog he still shouldn't have done it. Just because he's a better fishkeeper doesn't mean he can just keep playing with the fishes' lives like that.
Why did you get the goldfishes with your hands because they get stresred when being moved into a new tank but a big hand chasing them off a way to stressful moment.

I absolutely love my hillstream loaches, and now I have two babies as well!
People do not view goldfish as animals tbh sadly
YOU ARE THE BEST GUY EVER. IVE SEEN PEOPLE DO THIS AND I HATE IT.
fastest subscribe of my life, very excited to see more content in the future.
great content dude keep it up!
My goldfish live in a pond, and yes they do grow huge to a point.
Goldfish love eating snails.! Once your tank stabilizes the algae would be under control.
My guess is Algae Bloom!!
Proud of you!
Your videos are so entertaining and professional that I was shocked when i watched all three of your videos qnd when I went to find more, that was it. Please keep up the good work! Thank you ❤
I jsut built a 300 gallon pond and once the weather warms up I will be rescuing a few goldfish from a friend of mine
The Problem Appears To Be All That Greenish Stuff On The Tank
Nice Tank
this video is adorable 🥺 loved! so cute
Did you just grab those fish with bare hands?! I thought you weren't supposed to do that.
I’m adding snails with the gold fish and yoyos!
Loaches eat snails …
13:16 “ can you tell what’s wrong with the tank” loaches eat snails …
“ what the actual f happened to the snails?!”
LOACHES EAT SNAILS
😭
Good content and video production. Keep it up can’t wait for 1k subs
Thanks!! On our way there 😎
Keep up this momentum and you'll find yourself making a living from this!
I have a shrimp tank filled with those tiny snails but I love them it’s like looking into a pond
I love Yo Yo loaches, goldfish to. I catch them in rod and reel from people who released them and I always make sure to give them to a pet store
Wow that subcount is way too low underated
Goldfish like snails and algae☝️Algae actually a sign of a healthy environment for goldfish
Don’t you have to acclimate fish before putting them in a tank? You also need to make sure the ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, etc are correct.
I thought the carnival fish was a thing from American cartoons only
13:00 no snails and an algae breakout
13:00. A lot of algae growth
Great video!
I look forward to part 2 in a year when they need another bigger tank lol
Hopefully the video before that one is "I built a background pond!"
Good. Small animals should not be so easy to obtain.
How come you put Yoyo Loaches with Goldfish? I thought a Goldfish's best temperature was around 72 when a Loach prefers 78, outside of the Goldfish's range?
Those fish will destroy your tank
You don’t put fish tank next to a door.
why? genuine question
@ fish get stressed out when people are moving in front of tank, also if it’s cold outside when you open a door fish tanks shouldn’t be to close to hot or cold source as it effects water temperature. Also avoid placing fish tank to a direct sunlight as it helps create algae’s faster.
Unless you’re fish isn’t really social you can put it next to a door
@@JRCarReviews oh! That makes sense! Ty.
Bro u do car reviews not fish keeping
My guess is that the tank is more dirty from the goldfish (13:00)
Proud of you
Take the deco out. They don’t need it! More room for swimming.
They are cold water fish bro!! They don’t need a heater!
Good Video 👍
yoyo loaches are known to eat snails
I just bought a pleco. my reasons?
Turtle tank was looking a little bland so and i wanted a fish they wouldnt eat
Its going on day 12 and the fish was 4 inches last time measured him...he looks mucg bigger now and the turtles havnt even tried to touch him
I did the research before hand tho. I know how big they get, how long they live for, how messy they are and i have a plan for the size thing
Him and turtles are being held in a 40gal tank right now but once they get bigger im gonna move them into a 300 gallon tub that i see people keep big fish in. And once i get my own placr im gonna build a fish pond
10:26 Mf stressed out the goldfish for fun.
@@ecclesiasticman4417gold fish don't breathe like other fish. For short periods of time they can be out
To be fair he wasn’t doing it for no reason. But yea idk why he couldn’t just use a net
@@Jqaidisgoatedthey still get stressed when hands are chasing them around you tool
why a heater in a tank for goldfish?
Just in case if the weather gets too cold
We get cold winters here, more of a "better safe than sorry" addition. It's set low
@@BigRedTetra Ahhhh makes sense now, where i am the weather doesn't get cold enough to freeze water or put it lower then say 5°c
Kitty❤
Two kitties❤❤
the prob was the cloudy stuff on the glass of the tank
So proud of you
Yk what, here’s a sub, I like ur videos
Why did you get the goldfishes with your hands because they get stresred when being moved into a new tank but a big hand chasing them off a way to stressful moment.
They definitely got stressed but tbh this guy is way better then some other fish keepers I've seen
honestly this whole video is great, love the info and the friendly way of sharing it.
13:00 Algae on the glass that the snails aren’t eating?
Pretty much nailed it, proud of you
@ yippee
ISNT THAT FLIPPY FROM DOGMAN!?!?!!
Be careful that the plecs don’t eat the slime coat on the goldfish, recipe for disaster if they start to…
They aren't plecos they're hillstream loaches (Asian) and don't eat slime coats.
Plus if a pleco is eating slime coat its because its not being fed enough protein.
Hint for the cave man measurements.. 180litres (40gal) weighs 180kilograms (1 average american man).
Disappearing snails i have a good idea were there most probably went 2 hungry yoyo loaches
my jaw dropped when i saw the sub count this vid is like fire
